I generally like the bag for an every day carry. my only comment is that the exterior Exterior side pouches are not big enough for my insulated water/coffee bottles so these items end up inside the bag. I'm ok with liquids inside the bag as my bottles have secure screw on tops, but I do worry about them working open after a longer period of time and spilling inside the main compartment. This bag would get 5 stars if this issue was addressed. the things I like are the separate laptop case which fits my 15" laptop easily, power cord adapter, a book and mouse pad. The main compartment holds miscellaneous small electronics, a rain shell, food, coffee and water. all in all a good EDC bag.

Love this bag, I use it everyday, however I wish they would redesign it with stretchy side pockets for water bottles - the ones on this bag do not stretch at all, if you have the bag pretty full you will not be able to put much in the side pouches. Mystery Ranch - if you're reading these make a redesign and I would buy a second one in a heart beat!

Bought about a month ago. Love the bag. Loses 1 star due to the left shoulder strap coming loose on its own occasionally.

Bought this bag a few months ago and love. My only complaints is no stabilizer waist straps and making the laptop compartment part of the main pocket

Bag has been working well for daily trips to the office, however the water bottle pocket design is terrible. At best it will hold a standard 16oz plastic water bottle. No way your getting a Nalgene in there without a fight. 5 starts if this is fixed.

perfect weight, nice stiff back and i love the ability to lay flat and open up completely. Only negative is you cant stand it upright on its own because the bottom is not leveled off. The only thing i would like to see about the bag are a few improvements. level out the bottom to increase capacity a bit, add loops on the bottom for camping roll and increase laptop compartment height to match height of bag or alternatively lose the compartment all together to make main compartment just bigger. A bright orange interior all around would be nice makes things so much easier to see inside. also there is no reason to not extend the internal compartments the full length of the interior space of the bag, i dont think the weight changes with these modifications would add up to any amount that matters.

I bought this a month ago and I thought I was getting something bigger. The bag is tight, if you put a water bottle in one of the outer pockets, it takes away space from the inside. The computer pocket is too large, it gives this bag a strange look and again it take space a way from the main compartment. The build quality is 10 out of 10! If I could go back and choose a different Mystery Ranch pack I would.

I spent hours looking online for a backpack that met all my requirements, and I thought I had found the one, but I was wrong. For some reason the backpack sharply cuts in at the bottom, making it IMPOSSIBLE for the backpack to stand upright, even when placed against a wall. Also makes books or anything else in the backpack get their corners bent. The bottle holders does not have any stretch, meaning they compete with the storage inside. If your backpack is full, you cant get your water bottle inside. I had a backpack with less volume before this one, but this somehow has room for less. I can barely get two school books and some food in this. Would absolutely not recommend.
