Bought this for the purpose of an assault pack replacement as I frequently do 10-15 mile hikes with an asip, camelback, and emergency supplies (FSO in light infantry division). My problem was the issued assault pack was killing my back and biting into my shoulders. This pack displaces weight an supports my lower hack and hips perfectly. With 20-30 lbs, i can comfortably walk any distance, and use the pack for tactical movements onto an objective. The pack straps work well to secure items inside if your pack isn't full to keep weight from jostling around, but also has plenty of space for equipment. Outside has molle as well, and the outside pockets are great for storing food or equipment. I also have a kelty 32 liter that was almost twice as much and while i love the kelty, the mystery ranch 3 zipper system makes it much easier to get things out quickly, and the interior pockets (it has 4) make it easy to find things at night.
My only complaint is I wish this pack had an antenna slot exactly like what is on the 3 day. It does have a zipper on the back left side, but the positioning and the way an asip is made makes it ver difficult to thread an asip antenna into that zipper.

This is an awesome pack for the money, it has the Y-zipper that Mystery Ranch is known for and the build quality is excellent. My only two complaints are these:
1. It does not come with a padded waist strap
2. It does not come with strap keepers built into the pack
This used to be normal, sure, but nowadays even lower end packs have these two features, and it feels like cheaping out to lack them on a pack like this, especially from such a highly renowned brand as Mystery Ranch.

If you've got one backpack to rely on, take this one. I use it for both civilian & military purposes, and it serves me well in both capacities. I love the quick-access pouches on the top and I love the fact that I can unzip all the way to see all my contents inside. I didn't think I'd need it, but it's come in handy many times over. I was surprised at how much content I can fit inside too. The length of the internal capacity allowed me to carry more than what I usually need and I always carry extra essentials, just in case. The durability of the materials is unmatched. The shoulder straps are comfortable and I can carry it through the length of my rucks and hikes without my back throwing out. The external side pockets also surprisingly carry my 32-oz Hydr*flask without fail and anything I want to keep for quick access. I don't even use my Fils*n Nylon backpack anymore (the rucksack style prevents me from being able to see the bottom of my pack unless I shine a light).

I bought this pack for a deer hunt that was in treacherous steep terrain. I loaded the pack nearly 100% and it handled it beautifully. I was most impressed by how balanced the pack felt, and even with 60 plus pounds it was a breeze to carry. The pack is super high quality and I will most likely buy another for as a Christmas present for my dad.

I've had this pack for a few weeks now, and I've been nothing but happy with its quality and functionality. I'd been using the Scree for a couple of years, so there was some getting used to a new configuration, but I'd been enjoying the bag. Computer access is great, and it holds everything I need for a day, with room to spare.

I use it as my work bag, get my daily needs in and out of work. Big pockets inside to keep your junk separated. I'm 6'3" and I got the large, it's perfectly sized for me.

I purchased this pack about a month ago, and it is impressive in quality materials and workmanship, couldn't be happier with my choice. Carries heavier weight better than other packs I own and I appreciate the compression system which truly secures the load and eliminates shifting.

I have had several packs over the past 20 years and this one is the best of them all. It is very easy to get in and out of making packing and unloading a breeze. I love all the organization and my personal favorite is all the points you can adjust to make it fit perfect to your particular body size.

I use this bag both as a quick grab and go over night travel bag, and as my day pack as the "family mule" for a family of four. The pockets and access are perfect (not too few, nor too many), two big pouches for water bottles, and the most comfortable shoulder straps I've found. I've been through an easy 5-10 packs over the year before finding this one; it's the best I've found to date.

After a month of testing and daily use, I feel comfortable with the bag and its features. At first, it seemed like a lot but I have grown accustomed to its many interior pockets faster than I expected. I love the molle design, laptop zipper, lid pockets, and interior zippered pockets. However, the only downside I have is the quick-attach zoid bag does not line up with the interior loops.

Researched a ton of different bags in this size range and loved the design, features and looks of this Mystery Ranch 2day assault pack. The quick open access is a must have when time is of the essence. Has several different pockets and pouches in various sizes to properly organize your gear. It's a great choice for someone looking for a quality item.

Such a great pack! More than happy to have it and use it both as a daily bag and field use. I plan on buying another color to have as a back up!

I have two of the now discontinued Urban Assault 21 packs but I've started to need a bit more space and organization. The 2 Day Assault has been the answer.
The extra 6 L of capacity goes a long way. I've made extensive use of the Molle webbing to add pouches to add additional space/organization, and make the pack uniquely my own. The addition of the framed support is definitely a nice to have and makes the bag wear more like a ruck. Title says it all, it's been the perfect go anywhere, do anything bag.

High quality material, design and ergonomics. It's almost as if the bag gets even better as it gets broken in, developing its own character-wear.

Bought this to replace an old, cheap range pack. The zipper and pocket arrangement is pretty unique but it makes for a minimalist pack with lots of utility. The interior pouches are positioned up and out of the way from whatever your main load might be, helping to distribute any bulk. The water bottle pouches on the outside are able to support small or large objects, in my case a tool pouch fits nicely and is easily accessible from there. If I had any critiques it would be the straps having excessive length for what I need, leading to lots of extra material dangling off. Also the waist strap could have some padding but it works fine so far.

I can find no fault with the 2 day assault pack. Superior craftsmanship and materials, organized layout. Definitely veteran made. Doubt I'll ever break this thing but I'll purchase again when I need a larger pack.

I've looked at the bag for a very long time. I finally pulled the trigger and ordered it. Man, I didn't realize what I have been missing! This bag is perfect for daily use. I take it to work everyday. It also fits well and stays securely on my bike while riding my motorcycle. Chef's kiss!

I've used it once on a trip to Idaho.
Great pack with a lot of room. Fits overhead or under the seat on a full size airplane.
Love it
