I wear 7.5 or 8 in shoes. I got these boots in 7.5 and they fit perfectly! I have 15 inch calves and these fit with no problem. They are comfortable and look great! I'm really glad I got them!

I am so bummed I had to return this boot! It is beautiful, high quality, very comfortable, marked all the boxes...EXCEPT, everyone who said it is too wide at the top of the calf were correct! I don't have a thin calf, usually boots fit me very snug at the calf, not this one. I could fit three fingers and it just didn't look good and I was afraid over time they would sag. I was so tempted to just keep them! In the end I had to pack them up and return.

fortunately for us ladies with generously-sized calves, these are nice and wide at the top of the shaft. they are comfortably snug around my 14.5s, and i believe the leather will give a bit. there is a little elastic insert in the shaft to assist with comfort. borns for me run notoriously small, by at least 1/2 size, so it was good that i ordered up 1/2 size. if i lived in a colder climate, i would probably order 1 whole size up to accommodate thick boot socks. the foot portion of the boot is super comfortable. the heel height is very flattering and reasonable, and the shaft height is also perfect for my 5'2" frame (i think). and they are SO pretty. love them!

I was hopeful that these boots would fit, so I ordered an 8 1/2 and 9, and I planned to keep the better fitting pair. I wanted a classy boot to wear with skirts and dresses. The circumference is too wide for my legs. It's odd that the boots get even wider once they pass the calf, and measured 17" at the top. I am 5' 7" with an athletic build from running and hot-yoga. My claves are 14.5", and these boots were huge on my legs. If your legs get wider past your calf, these would be great boots. I felt like a pirate. Both pairs will go back.

In the description, it says that the circumference is 14 inches. I measured and it's actually 17 inches.

The calf was way too big. Otherwise the foot fit nicely and they look really cute.

I love these boots! Exactly what I was looking for! Had a particular sweater dress I needed some boots for, and these are perfect! Got them on sale, so even better! The are a little higher in the front on the knee, and I really like that! I love Zappos service!

LOVE these boots! They look gorgeous, fit beautifully, and are fun to wear.

I have three other pairs of Born boots, all in size 8 1/2. These were definitely cut a half size smaller. I ordered the next size and they are perfect!

I really like the style of these boots and I like that they did not look bunchy and awkward in the ankle area. But I did not like the extra wide calf area. I have big calves so I was happy to find boots that I was able to zip up without a struggle. However, because I have big calves, I want boots to hug my legs, not make my legs look wider by having extra gap at the top of the boot. It is a shame because these boots felt comfortable in the foot/toe area, they zipped up my big calves, they comfortably hugged my legs through the ankle and calf but at the very top, there was extra gap that made my legs look bigger.

The heel height is 3 inches, not 2.5.

These are absolutely gorgeous boots as far as overall style, color (brown), comfort and softness! I normally wear size 7-8 with socks... the size 8 fit perfectly. I wear pants with boots, so stuffing my pants inside the boot was tight. Unfortunately, I will be returning this boot as the heel height was a bit too high for my comfort zone.

These are remarkably comfortable: just enough cushion on the bottom to make me forget they are high heels, yet still stable. Yummy soft lining inside the boot all the way up. I wish I had more clothes to wear them with!

These boots are very comfortable and well-padded. The leather is soft and supple. I wanted a pair of casual boots in which I could spend the day walking, and these fit the bill!

These boots are beautiful. They’re my third pair of Borns boots. I have a wide foot and like my other Born boots they fit my foot perfectly in a medium width. The shaft zips easily on my muscular legs (15” calf) with even a little room to spare at the top. The leather is gorgeous. The shaft is quite tall, so might not work if you are shorter (I’m 5’ 5”). The heel is chunky enough for comfortable walking with enough height to look great with a skirt or dress. Love them. Thank you Zappos as always!

The fit was good, they look like they are made well and good quality. The calf fit perfectly and alot of reviews said it was to wide but I didn't have that problem at all. I got alot of compliments on them when I would wear them. Overall a good purchase and will be buying the black pair.

It's a beautiful and comfortable boot as I expect from Born. My calf is 15.5 inch at the largest part and the boot fits snug, yet comfortably, at the calf. At the top outside of the boot there is a gap of almost an inch that bothers me a bit. I wish it were more even around the top of the boot. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep these. I'm going to try another pair.

Love these boots. The soles are rubber so they aren’t loud when you walk. The only thing is the shaft is pretty wide- I have smaller calves so I look a little like aqua man with the extra room but it’s not too bad.

Seem to be a little smaller than size indicated; either that or very narrow. Still comfortable, and look great!

I returned them because the calf area was a little too wide for my leg. Otherwise, these were high quality boots and looked great.

I received the boots today, and overall a very nice boot. The leather is good, style nice, the lining is soft - I really like the boot. But, I have a very high arch and I can't get them zipped past 2 inches - so I will have to return them. I thought about going up a 1/2 size to see if that would help but I'll try another style.

I liked these boots as the shaft height was good for me. Being tall its hard to find boots that come to the knee. Unfortunately the calf circumference was too large and made the boot slouch a little bit already and didn't want to risk that getting worse. I absolutely do not have skinny calves so it was surprising that they were loose. Really soft uppers on the boots so hated to return them but i want a snugger fit.

These Boots Are super comfortable. However I sent them back because they are way too wide at the top of the calf.

Wanted to love this boot but the calf was way to big. The notes said the calf was narrow, not so. Sending back.

Oh my gosh, these boots are SO comfortable. Amazingly so. My problem is that they are too big at the top of my calves, so gap and look funny. (I need them to wear with tights, not pants.) I am very, very bummed, because the shoe part fits perfectly to my size 9 foot, and is more comfortable than I could ever imagine a boot being. Winner if they fit your calves!
