I ordered my usual shoe size 9. They were a half size too large. I reordered a 8.5 and they fit amazing!! The leather is soft, no break in period needed. There’s enough toe room for thicker socks and not feel tight. I have a medium to narrower foot and longer toes as a reference.

Leather is unblemished and not too shiny. The boots strike the right balance between feminine and tough. I like that they look like a cross between combat boots and witch boots?They would look great either with jeans or a skirt and strike the right balance between elegance and casualness.

I took these out of the box, put them on my feet and never looked back. Amazingly comfortable even for long suburban walks. I was surprised and delighted. My 35 year old daughter really likes the style so I haven't missed the mark!! I wear 7 1/2 and have a wide foot, plenty of toe room all around. This was a great purchase for me!!!

Love them. I thought they might be too stiff When I took them out of the box but, but they feel great & look great. Love the side zipper makes them easier to get on and off. So glad I found these, I’ve been looking for good combat boots for months.

What fantastic boots! I really love them, perfect combination of fashionable and functional. The shape of the boots is perfect, beautiful with pants and dresses. Just took them for a spin and they feel great. Usually I wear a 9 in boots, they run a bit large so the 8.5 is just right. Smitten!

Aesthetically these are EXACTLY what I wanted. But I felt like I could feel the ground through the sole and my heels hurt at the end of the day. Returned.

They do feel really comfortable and I like the eyelets and how they go all the way to the top. Having the zipper is really nice as well but you can tighten them up even more by lacing them up. I was looking at the See by Chloe version but that price is way too steep for me (435.00). These are more streamlined and nothing too fancy. Bummed that the soles are not removable but I can use my dress shoe orthotics and that works with the half size large issue. I originally ordered these off the Frye website but saw Zappos was selling at 50 dollars less! I knew I would get them from Zappos super fast and I did! Whenever I finally get them from Fryes, returning them promptly!

Love these Frye combat boots. They were just what I was looking for in a stylish, comfortable, quality-made boot. They look super cute with jeans or an informal dress/skirt. The cute flower petal eyelets make them look more feminine than traditional combat boots. Neat side zipper makes it easy to put on and take off. The price for Frye boots was amazing!

Very stylish, sharp looking combat boots. I read the reviews and decided to size down a half size and glad I did. They are comfortable. I liked them so much, I ordered the black ones also!

My feet are long and narrow and Frye sizing usually works! I do wish these boots came in a 10.5 but I am going to try to make the 10 work. They are very comfortable and beautiful! Not too combat-like, even in the distressed black.

These are great because of the easy zip sides and the leather on top is super soft. They look super cool - the look of a simple combat boot without frills, but also comfortable and easy to put on.

These boots are entirely comfortable and stylish. I like that they zip so that they are easy to put on. If there is anything to watch, they roomy on the toe box, so thicker socks may fit best. I now own several pairs of Frye: they never let me down.

These boots are great! I ordered my regular size, had to exchange and order a half size smaller, which was still somewhat large.

Ordered these boots for my Steampunk outfit. They worked out great! These also look great everyday with my jeans. As the weather is getting colder the higher top has been perfect. My only complaint is the stitching on the inside can rub near the angel but not bad.

Besides that they are 1 full size too large they are great looking boots! I was disappointed in the stapled eyelets though. It just looks cheap.

These are very comfortable and have great style. They have a combat look but are sleek enough to look good with skinny jeans and aren't clunky. I added a very thin leather insole to add a little padding but otherwise have loved them! I've had them for a year but don't wear them hard; mostly I wear them to work.

Love this boot! When I ordered, I wasn’t completely sold on the color, but knew the shoe was going to be of good quality and last a long time. I thought the color was black with silver undertones, but it turns out the undertones are actually brown! Absolutely gorgeous. I go between an 8 and 8.5 in shoes. I ordered the 8.5 because an 8 was not available. An 8 would have fit better, but I don’t feel like I’m swimming in the shoe. Any boot by Frye is going to be comfortable, supportive and high-quality. If you’re looking for an investment boot, this is the brand to go with. Boots are also an instant conversation piece! They are « classic » enough to match most styles of clothing, but have an undeniable edge to them. Great to wear with dresses and jeans. If you’re fashion-forward, I even love wearing them with a periwinkle jumpsuit!

Love these! Ordered this pair and the Dr. Scholl’s Guild Combat Boot, but these were the ones I kept - they’re edgy but feminine. Love the distressed look, but note that the distressing makes them appear brown, not black. I was expecting that based on other reviews, and since dark brown was more of the look I was going for I’m fine with it. I wear an 8/8.5 in shoes and 9 in sneakers and boots. Ordered the 9 and they fit great, even seem to be wide enough in the toe box to avoid irritating my mini-bunion. No arch support, and the insole isn’t removable so not sure how adding any kind of orthotic might work. The leather isn’t at all stiff, so I doubt these will require a breaking-in period. Cute!!

This is the first shoe I’ve purchased in a long time that was comfortable right off the top. Tried them on when they arrived then wore them out that evening, walked around town and my feet were very happy the whole time. They looked pretty narrow and I have small but wide feet, but they felt great on. Now to see how they last, but for fit and comfort for me, they are the best!!

the fit feels narrow. some of the stitching inside the shoe also rubs my foot.

Absolutely looove them! So comfy and chic. Love how they are combat boots but with a feminine twist. I have been debating between these and the Dr. Martens and so glad I went with these. You will not be disappointed!

These are gorgeous and so comfortable! Like slippers on my feet! They became my new favorite boots the moment I put them on. I bought my regular size 8 1/2 and the fit is perfect.

Fits perfectly! I'm a size 9 and have a somewhat narrow foot. They look great and are very comfortable right out of the box. I highly recommend them!
