Beautiful boot- I actually remember ordering last year as well. It is just super stiff. There is no give at all. I am a teacher, so I don't have days to break boots in. I need them to form to my foot immediately.

These are very stylish boots that hug your calves for a slim look, but the top openings are stiff and not well-finished (you can see the layers of leather and lining). They chafe against my short legs. I guess I could get used to them, but at this price point I was something that fits me perfect out of the box.

These were beautiful boots. Unfortunately, I could not zip them past the ankle. The shaft is very narrow. I returned them and will keep looking!

These boots are so nice! I love the side stitching. The boots fit fine. I wear an eight and a half, but I couldn’t zip them all the way up. I was sad to have to send them back.

I tried so very hard to love these boots, but I could not. I have large feet, but narrow calves, so it is nearly impossible to find a boot that fits my foot without my calves swimming in the shafts. I thought these were the perfect match! They did fit my calves, and at first they seemed to fit my foot as well. While they were snug over the top of my foot, somehow my heel came up out of the boot with every step. I felt like I was fighting to keep them on my feet. Since there is nothing adjustable on the boot itself, there was really nothing I could do. Tried insoles. Tried a half size smaller. Sent both pairs back. On goes the search…

Was very disappointed. The leather was incredibly stiff and felt more like hard plastic. All around the boot was stiff and reminded me more of a rain boot than a simple, classy brown dress boot. I also have very skinny calves with size 10 feet and the calf circumference looked comical. I've had luck with calf circumference on this brand before, but not this time. Sent back.

I’ve had my eye on these boots for awhile because the design is so beautiful. I finally ordered them and was excited about them. The boots are beautiful to look at but feel horrible on my feet. The leather is very stiff- no stretch whatsoever- feels like I put my foot into a hard plastic shoe. Very uncomfortable to walk in due to the hard ,stiff leather. I knew right away that they were being returned.?

Fit was good but the boots didn’t look like the picture. They were very polished and shiny and literally made crackling sounds as I walked. With just one walk around the house they were covered in broken stripe-like marks on the leather. Poor quality!

These boots are gorgeous! But I had to send back because the calf circumference was just a little too tight. Like another reviewer, I have trouble with Frye boots in general for this reason, but had to give this one a try. My calf is 14 1/2, so a wide-calf version is always too big. But with a 14 1/2 - 15" circumference, it's always borderline for me. In the end I had to return them. Beautiful boot, though. Wish it had worked out!

Bummer. Idk what is up w these boots. The tops of the calf were GIANT. Why are other reviews saying they are narrow? Are two dif types of boots shipping?

These are beautiful boots, but only if you like to wear beautiful things and not care about comfort. I have several pairs of Frye boots, and I have never had a pair that the leather was so stiff and immovable. They might have worn in someday, but I couldn't have dealt with walking like a stiff robot until they did.

I bought first a 9.5 and it felt big and it was previously worn. I ordered size 9. It came without box. the boots were delivered warped in paper in a regular shipping box. Size 9 is way too small. So I kept size 9.5 which felt bigger due to the fact that somebody else wore them before I bought that pair of boots. I keep them because I relay need a very simple black flat boot and this one fit very well my skinny calf. I have a few pairs of Frye boots and it was so disappointing the quality of this new pair comparing with traditional Frey quality! Way too expensive for the very low quality beside the fact that I received a pair previously worn and a pair without box!

Too big at calf. Also didn’t seem like the same level quality of other Frye boots.

I loved the style of these boots but the fit and sizing is poor. I have ordered three sizes trying to get the right fit, I am usually a 6.5B. These were to big an the calfs were very wide. The six was a little better but still big in both the boot and shaft. My final attempt was the 5.5B which is so small, I could hardly fit my food in the boot. There was a huge difference between the 6 and the 5.5. Very disappointed, but have to return these.

A little disappointed with these boots. I wore them once and they look like they have been worn a dozen times or more with lines and discoloring after wearing them for a few hours. For the price I paid for them, I was hoping they would last way longer. Sending back in hopes of getting a refund since the quality of the boot was so poor.

These are not narrow-calf boots as the description suggests; more wide-calf. The leather is very stiff, not supple and shows signs of wear (lighter areas at movement creases). They are, unfortunately, what I expected from Frye boots that at this price point. If you're going to buy good quality Frye boots you have to pay upwards of $400.

I returned them, I found them to be very uncomfortable, very thin insoles and no arch support.

I first purchased these in a size 7 and had to return them because they We’re too big felt like goulashes. I then got them a half down but they’re too didn’t fit well. I like the style of these boots however, they are very stiff and not what I was expecting from this brand. I definitely would not recommend these boots.

The color is described as cognac vintage. The color is a deep tan.
