These are beautiful boots! So glad I got them despite only one mediocre review. They are truly classic and can be worn with so much! I will make a really important note... I ordered a second tall Frye boot to compare the styles. I did not realize that I accidentally ordered the Melissa tall was in “extended size” and the other style, the Melissa tall belted boot, was “normal” size. At first I thought the Melissa belted was miss-made, because I could not zip them up the last 2 inches up my calf. But after reading, I realized that it was the extended size that was fitting comfortably. I will note I do NOT have large calves. 5’ 4”, 140 lbs. I have never had trouble with anything fitting my calves. I just want to make note... if you have “average” calves, you may need extended size. Other than that, a BEAUTIFUL boot ??

These are oddly narrow in the front half of the footbed. I have average feet and therefore ordered the medium width. I never have problems with shoes being too narrow, but these were really narrow and made my feet hurt in just the few minutes of trying them on.

This seems like it would be a really nice boot but they have twice sent me a wide-calf size when I've ordered the regular. Also both pairs seemed more than just worn around the house a few times. Had to return twice. I'm taking a break from ordering Frye boots from Zappos as I've not had good luck with this. I've purchased many other brands which have arrived perfect and brand new though, so still loving Zappos and will continue to shop here!

I ordered these in the summer to start to break in for the fall. The boots fit well, the extended size fits my calf and will easily allow leggings or skinny jeans to slip into the boot. The boots are a little "tight" in the footbed, but since these are all-natural leather that is to be expected. I have ordered other leather boots in the past (from other companies) and it typically takes some time to break them in so they are a comfortable fit, hence why I ordered these now. They are a beautiful boot and I look forward to sporting them in the fall.

I even went up a size and these were horribly small and had absolutely no room in the toe box. They're going back.

I was really disappointed in this boot. The leather on the shaft seemed to be inferior quality to other Frye boots I one. -Thinner. Slight wrinkles in the bonding of outside/inside leathers. Also the brown interior leather was visible at the top of the boot.

Love these boots! Very comfortable and look great. Very happy with them!

I always order a half size larger than my usual size with Frye boots and, as usual, they fit perfectly. I ordered the wide shaft and it was large enough without gaping. The leather is beautiful and I look forward to cooler temps so I can wear my new boots!

These are gorgeous boots but the extended calf was too big for me. The soles of these boots are very slippery, on carpet. I just don’t feel safe wearing them.

These are high quality leather and beautiful boots! I ordered 12 pairs of boots and then had the boot show down! My hubby and 2 Neighbors joined in on the fashion show! It was not easy but these are comfy and classy. They were voted first choice! I kept 2 pairs due to my budget restrictions. I also have a wide foot and athletic legs and they fit great! It’s always hard to find boots that fit me well and these do! I’m a bit of a boot junky. I love boots more than any another type of footwear. I try to only buy boots I love and will have for many years and these are them!

I loved the look and feel of the boots, but I have a wide foot and just can't wear a medium width shoe--this was too narrow for me. I ordered the extended calf, which just barely zipped over my large calves. So I returned them.

These boots were true to size. I am usually a euro 41and the 91/2 fit great. I have plantar fasciitis so I put orthotics in them and they are now perfect. The leather is soft and the shaft is on the wider side and makes it easy to go over pant legs. I love the rich mahogany color. Overall I recommend the zipper over the pull on boots so I highly recommend these

While these are well-made gorgeous boots with an amazing color and feel to the leather, they run small and narrow. I normally wear a 10.5 so I ordered the 11 in these but it was a bit of a struggle to get my foot into them because the toe box is narrow. Once I got them on they were definitely smaller in length as well than other 11s fitting more like my actual 10.5. I ordered the extended calf which really isn’t that extended as it’s only 1” bigger than the standard style. They did fit perfectly until the last 1/2” of the zipper where the boot curves back in. There is no gusset at the top and the leather does not seem like it would stretch at all so if you are not well under the 15-3/4” calf these probably won’t fit you. Sadly this is why I’m returning them as I would need that extra space a gusset would provide.

The boot shaft was HUGE. I didn’t order the extended. These would have been perfect otherwise-beautiful leather, very comfortable
