If warmth is a primary concern, this is the jacket for you. Even on cold, windy days little more than a T shirt or base layer is needed to keep your core comfortable on the lift with this jacket. In fact its almost too warm and you might be soaked in sweat by the time you get to the lodge for your aprs ski. When this happens, the lining on the sleeves can be a bit slow to dry and it might be a bit uncomfortable when you head back outside. Still, its a solid product and the numerous pockets, high collar, and insulted hood provides a high degree of functionality. I would recommend it.

Amazing jacket. Light and warm. Good fit. I'm 6foot and 180 lbs, and the medium fits me perfectly. I even use it around town sometimes.

I bought this jacket for my husband after having loved my own LIFALOFT jacket! It is a must have for skiing in the North East (freezing). The jacket is light weight but well insulated and warm. The fit is slim and sleek. It looks great on the slopes. Would highly recommend the LIFALOFT jacket!

Fits true to size and warm. Skiing hard down the steeps I appreciated the ventilation zippers. Zip off hood that also fits well over a helmet also a great feature. Liked the smart device pocket but recommend product designers reinforce the pocket so that the weight of the smart device doesnt pull the jacket out of form.

Very warm, like the taper down inside the sleeves to keep snow out, detachable hoodie. Just an overall great value.

Great jacket, very well thought out design with all the features I was looking for. The phone pocket works as intended and keeps the battery charged. Color choices were spot on. As a Colorado local, this is my go to coat for just about everyday on the lifts. The Helly website made finding the best jacket easy. Great coat!

I used to have alpha 3, which I really like. I recently also got alpha lifaloft for the purpose of getting a warmer jacket. I didn't actually do an apple-to-apple comparison whether lifaloft is warmer; some reviews say so. But I like it. It's very light. With smartwool and down layering, this one can help me get through -30 celsius cold temperature in Banff Alberta in the holiday season in Dec 2022.

Jacket fits true to size, its extremely warm, love the pockets and vent system!

I love this jacket! I skied for several hours in sub zero temps and I was comfortable all night. I will call this true to size. I am 511, weigh 140 with an athletic build and I am a women who normally buys mens cloths due to my broad shoulders, long arms and long legs. I could have worn size small, however it didnt give me any added room for any unforeseen added holiday pounds. The medium is a bit roomy for me due to my unusual build which I cannot hold against anyone. The return process was flawless and I plan to remain a long term Helly Hansen customer.

Very comfortable

Best winter jacket I've ever owned. If anything, I get too warm in it. I've opened up the pits and it works walking in sub 40 degrees, but gets warm after that. This is my coat for when it's cold and windy. The fit is snug like a puffy would be, but a lot more weather proof. Super pumped to test it out in negative temperatures this week

Great ski jacket

Small & not warm enough for all day use.

This jacket is by far the most well-designed and functional, yet effulgent jacket I have ever owned and thus completely suits my sartorial needs. Feels great, looks great and fits as advertised. I am 5'11", 165 lbs with somewhat broad shoulders and the medium fits perfectly with or without a fleece layer beneath. Good length as well.
