In shoes, I usually wear an 8.5M. In boots, for some reason I usually wear a 9W. However these Walking Cradles are roomy enough that a 9M fits perfectly. I also tried an 8.5M but couldn't get my foot into it. I have another pair of Walking Cradles that are nearly identical to these Esmes. They've been my go-to everyday Fall/Winter footwear (I use a waterproofing spray on them every year) and I've had them long enough that I don't even remember buying them. But finally the toes are getting scraped up enough that it's become really noticeable. So I was so happy to find these Walking Cloud Esmes! The fit and width are just about perfect. I often have a problem with my big toes feeling squished on the side or top, but these Esmes have a roomy boxy toe, without the heel being wide enough to slide around. I have to point out that the top opening is a bit small for us plus size women but I nonetheless was able to comfortably wear a pair of winter socks without it feeling too tight (or feeling too big with thin socks on). There's a comfy, cushy insole, but not really much support. My old Walking Cradles had almost no cushioning but I just popped an orthotic insole in them. I don't know if I'll need an insole with these Esmes though. I'm still debating whether I should buy a 2nd pair "just in case".

Can leather boots be baggy? These were so large and floppy over the instep, I could literally “pinch an inch” of excess material between my fingers. I’m a 12.5 ww and ordered a 13, so I could add my custom orthotics. I still had enough room to become a bootlegger.

This is a very nice little boot. Super soft, buttery leather. Lightweight. Good simple design, True, it is unstructured, so no support per se, but incredibly comfortable anyway. I was happy to find a 10 1/2, since I usually wear this size, and so few shoemakers offer this, but this time I traded it in for a size 10, which fits like a glove. Because the leather is so soft, it will probably loosen a bit over time.Great price too. Wish there were other colors.

These shoes fit better than any I've ever owned. My feet don't slide in my shoes anymore. Walking Cradles, such an appropriate name.

I normally wear sz 8 W, so ordered 8 1/2 WW sz larger than normal so I could wear with socks. They were at least one size too big, so I returned them and ordered a 7 1/2 WW. Cute style, hope my new purchase works

I used to wear 7s but found that in most brands I now need the 7.5. These are generously cut and plenty of room for a pair of thicker winter socks. Comfortable from the start. No break-in required. Love that there is a little arch support. The flatter shoe puts less strain on my bad knee and is just what I needed. I also find flatter boots are safer and more stable on slippery surfaces.

Oh how I wanted to keep this boot. Soft, soft leather and cute too. I was hoping that the lower length of the boot would work for me, but sadly it didn't. I should preface this by admitting that I have the world's hardest foot to fit. Boots are next to impossible. I have super wide, Fred Flintstone feet with a high in-step and ridiculously large ankles. Plus, my feet and ankles swell as the day progresses. I actually got the left boot on my foot and it felt great, but I barely got the zipper the whole way up and it was way too tight. I couldn't even get the right one one my foot. Back they go! Most of my shoes are Easy Spirit and I take an 8 WW. They always fit. We've now moved from California to a place with ice and snow. The search for cold weather shoes continues!

These are cute little booties. They run a bit wide. I ordered a WW width to allow for room for large bunions. They are wide enough that I can wear a medium thick sock. I can never do that! The leather is soft so will stretch but if too loose I can go for a thicker sock. I wore them all day out of the box. I can never do that either! So if you have a high volume foot, this boot is for you. Length was true to size.

These boots were just what I was looking for! I usually wear an 8-1/2 W and that is what I ordered. They felt just a little bit big and wide, but that gave me enough room to wear with warm socks (and toe warmers for a football game!) At my age, I can’t wear a high heel, but these boots had just enough heel to make them stylish without making them hard to walk in. I also liked the slouched look. I would rate them A+.

I usually take a 6.5W, but I order a 7 W in this because I plan to wear heavier socks with it. It feels great with my warm, wool socks! Even though the leather has a draped look, I felt very supported in this shoe. It has nice arch support. Plenty of room for my toes in the W. The leather is very soft and pretty. I'm looking forward to wearing it with leggings, but it looks good with narrow-legged slacks, too.

The fit and comfort of these booties was incredible. However....the heels started to disintegrate the minute I put them on. I couldn’t figure out where the big long black scuff marks came from on my kitchen floor and now I know. Would not buy again.

These are absolutely great shoes and VERY comfortable. I wear a size 9 narrow, and the fit is perfect! Thank you Zappos for carrying such a great selection of narrow shoes!

I love this boot, soft leather, perfect for orthotics, perfect for bunion comfort. I wear a 7.5 WW and in this boot it's a perfect fit for my orthotic. The only reason I am returning this pair it is because someone wore them for a long while and they flattened the insole cushion, which is the best part of the comfort inside the shoe. Thank you Zappos for sending me a another pair which I am going to keep. I recommend this boot...

I am soooo happy! I have wide feet and it is hard to find booties to fit. The sift roomy leather on the top of the book makes them very comfortable. My socks dlip a bit when walking a lot, but it is more the type if sock than shoe. I am very pleased and plan on ordering more from this shoe line.

Felt comfortable at first, but after walking on them the tops hit against my shin and in back. I wouldn't be able to wear them for any length of time. Good looking.

I had to wait until the weather was perfect for these but WOW these were some of the most comfortable booties I have ever worn right out of the box. Love them.

I felt like this shoe was very comfortable, fit well, true to size. However, I liked a different brand shoe, similar style, a bit better. Sent these back, but these seem like a comfortable, practical shoe.

These are comfortable and looked good...until they began flaking, and it's not like I wear them every day. They weren't super-expensive, but neither were they exactly cheap, and I was surprised that they already look kind of crummy.

I love these boots! I have narrow feet ( mostly narrow heels, later in my life) and I have an extremely difficult time finding comfortable shoes that don't slip off my heels. I haven't worn boots since they did away with narrow sizes in most brands. I chose these boots because I bought a pair of dress shoes that were walking cradles and loved them as they were so comfortable, so thought I'd give the low boots a chance. When I went to order them, I had the option of choosing a narrow width. I was delighted to have that option and gave them a try. I've only had them a couple of weeks but they fit perfectly, the heels don't slip and I wear them every chance I get. They are very comfortable and I highly recommend them! I'm going back to see what else this brand has to offer.

I ordered a wide width first because of my bunions and they were too wide. Exchanged for medium width and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable and stylish.

Love this bootie! So comfortable, well made, perfect fit and great style! I normally wear an XX wide but my foot drowned in that width. The extra wide was perfect as is the rounded toe. Be aware that this brand runs extra wide so size down in width!!! I’ve had a broken foot and broken ankle and issues with swelling. The extra wide is plenty wide for my problem feet. Love everything about this boot!

These are a very nice pair of boots and the leather looks to be good quality. I typically wear a 7 but will exchange them for 6 1/2.
