By far the best shoes out there. Since they stop making theses shoes I have looked for a replacement shoe without any luck :( Bring back the king!!!

Please, please, please bring the King MTs back! These were the best pair of running shoes that I have ever worn. I have often had issues with the soles and upper mesh wearing abnormally fast in the Lone Peaks and Mont Blancs... The King MTs were the most durable!

I've finally worn out the 2 pairs of King MTs I bought before they were discontinued. I love them, especially the Velcro strap please bring them back!!

Grippy, secure, and FAST. Perfect for charging hard over loose, rocky terrain (predominant here in the SW). Both the vibram sole and upper have proven very durable. Really disappointed they discontinued this model, as I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. If you're listening, Altra, and you have a size 12.5 sitting in a warehouse somewhere, please get in touch!

Perfect trail shoe. Shoes like these were the real Altra. Please make them again and don't change anything.

Best trail shoe ever.... If you are going to discontinue a shoe make it the superior. That shoe is terrible.

I love this shoe! I use it for technical runs and hikes as well as a little canyoneering. The grip is amazing and I have a lot of control with my feet in them. They drain and dry quickly after a river ford or a swim through a slot canyon. I don't know what I'm going to replace them with once they wear out. Please bring them back!

This was your best trail shoe ever by a long shot. The lower stack height, aggressive lug pattern, and drains in the sole were great innovations and made it a high performer. I wish I could find more pairs of this. I bought as many as I could. Please bring it back and stop chasing Hoka with your massive stack height cushy shoes. They are terrible for our feet! Bring back styles like these which are light, responsive, allow us to feel the ground and let our feet do what they are designed to do. The high stack height shoes are the opposite of what is healthy or natural for our feet. They create a negative foot drop instead of zero as the foam wears out. By the recommended life of a shoe the cushier high stack Hoka copycat styles are -2mm or more for most people. Get back to what made your brand great with styles like this one.

These were awesome and the lone peaks just don't fit the same. Please revive them!

It's devastating that I can't buy another pair of these after I wear out my current pair. The strap is my favorite feature and there's nothing else available. These shoes actually got me into trail running in the first place.

This is the best trail running shoe hands down that I have ever worn. I have run a dozen spartan races with these shoes and wish they were still available. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK!!!

My previous pair are just starting to wear out. Please bring these back. I tried using Lone Peak 6, but their grip seems woefully inferior for the desert, often slipping on thin layers of loose gravel or granite rock, where the King MT is, well... The King! The minimalist design, the large lugs, the foot strap. All amazing. Not sure who is making the calls, but this is a shoe I will sorely miss and I am sad I will have to go elsewhere for my new shoes.

These are, without a doubt, the best trail shoes the running world has seen!! The only thing I would change is to remove the drainage vents in the sole.... They do work very well, but not all runs include river crossings and it is annoying to get wet feet from a spot of damp moss. Awesome grip, the medial strap is amazing, vibram soles tough as nails, uppers are light and strong. I've run hundreds and hundreds of miles in these shoes and they are finally giving up the ghost. Must buy!

This was the perfect shoe for High Route hiking. It's like a stiffer, stickier Lone Peak that just excels on talus and slab. I'll be devastated if it doesn't make a return!

The King MT was the official Spartan shoe a few years back and IMHO, there is no better shoe for Spartan races! It is also a great shoe if you I have sensitive feet. Due to Mortan's neuroma, I cannot wear most running shoes. Altra's foot shape fits my feet perfectly. I find a lot of Altra's shoes are too lose. However, the King MT is just ideal for my feet and my goals. The grip, the front strap, the light weight, one way surface on the heal, comfort, breathability, durability... I love this shoe! Please don't get discontinue it! I have purchased every shoe I could find in my size. If discontinued, I really hope you replace it with something similar. This shoe was across the board the best shoe I have ever worn!

Fast, grippy and handle mud well something my other altras struggle with. Then they discontinued them. Altra is by far my favorite shoes, I have owned over 50 pair, but there is a big need for a comfy shoe with grip and performance and now it's gone.

This is the second pair of King MTs I've had (owned a pair of 1.0s). I use them primarily for trail running, but also for the occasional hike when boots are overkill. I love them, both for the amazing traction and stability. I'm also a big fan of the low stack height and light weight.

Great thing is these shoes fit very comfortably from the first wearing. Sizing is true. The only way for it not to be true would be to put heavy winter style socks on. Would and will buy more if they continue to be offered. WV

I love this shoe, so much toe room and super comfortable to wear, didn't even have to break them in.

I have used Altra's for running for years ever since my first Torin 2s but almost exclusively for road running. I was looking for a shoe for disc golf, which in many places is like hiking, is sometimes wet, but is preferably athletic and light. A day of disc golf might involve 7-8 miles of walking or more. I was using boots but man my feet got tired. Having never really used hiking shoes before I didn't know what to expect when I ordered these. Turns out they are pretty sweet! They are light, have a good grip, stay in place on my feet after they are tied, and feel good on my feet. The toe box is wide and just what I would expect from an Altra shoe. I was not expecting the drains in the bottom, and that was a bit of surprise the first puddle I stepped in. To be fair, the water drained right back out which was cool. A new experience for me. The velcro strap that goes over the laces is nice for keeping the laces tied and the shoes on my feet but can be a pain when they are untied as the laces stick to the hook side. I just have to remember to take the strap all the way out and fold it on itself so the lace fabric doesn't get torn up every time. Not a big deal. Also, the style is not great but that is not something that is important to me. Overall, these are great shoes for walking long miles in the woods or just around. I will be back for more.
