Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

I usually wear an 8 but chose an 8.5 in this boot as I wanted to be able to wear a thicker sock. I'm 67 years old, live in northern MN and this is my winter to spring and fall to winter transition boot. Am sure I'll wear them hiking in the summer as well though. Bought them for walking my dog 4-6 miles a day. The fit is perfect for my more narrow foot. Not sure if these would work for a wide foot. Walked three miles the first day I wore them! Love the arch support. Laces stay tied. After day three of walking had slight rubbing on my left ankle. If I could make one change I'd add a little more cushion on the ball of the foot. I always check out Keen first for shoes as they are consistently my favorite shoe because of the wider toe box and support. Overall a great boot!

I normally wear toe shoes but learned quickly that those weren't going to work for backpacking, despite wearing them for years for every other activity (including trail running). The additional weight of my pack called for something more substantive on my feet but still light weight. After years of wearing ultralight shoes, many hiking boots felt like bricks on my feet. These were the perfect compromise! I tried on many pairs of boots at the store and these felt great right out of the box. I purchased these in the spring of 2018 and they are still going strong after hundreds of miles. These held up well in the varying terrain at Philmont and have kept their promise of being waterproof. On the rare occasion that I have managed to submerge my feet entirely they also dried quickly. I will definitely purchase again when it's time to replace them.

Wore these for several hours doing work outside and they were very comfortable and provided great stability. There was plenty of room in the toe box and I have a wide foot. I’m excited to go hiking in them soon!

Excellent boot, great quality and perfect fit. Third pair in the last 10 years, but first Keen purchase at Bean. Great addition to the footwear lineup!

I'm an 8 but the associate told me to order a 1/2 size up. Great advice! I have bought LLBean hikers for the last 21 years, but decided to try these. I'm very happy with them. The only issue was the black "netting" attached to the outside frayed and came off after one use. I exchanged and so far the second pair is fine. They are light, cool and comfy.

I got these boots just a couple of weeks before a 3-day 25 mile rugged backpacking hike. I wore them around a bit and took a few walks, but really, their breaking in happened on the trail. I found them comfortable and supportive - and although everyone else in my group got blisters, I didn't! I highly recommend these boots. As far as sizing, I ordered the size I need in athletic footwear, which is to say a full size bigger than my regular shoe size, and they were perfect.

I read all the reviews and this boot was highly recommended. I ordered and was not disappointed.
I was nervous the sizing wouldn't be great but I ordered my regular size and the boots fit perfectly, even with a heavy sock.
The ankle support is great and not overly restraining.
I highly recommend.

I wear a size 11 which is hard to find a shoe that I like and feel comfortable in. This shoe is comfortable and I like how they look. It feels true to size and gives great support to my ankles which I need. The shoes are great for hiking in. This is my 2nd pair of keen shoes which I highly recommended the brand.

Needed shoes/boots that were water proof with excellent traction - these are perfect. Walking on hills frequently covered in snow and/or ice - these keep my feet warm and dry and I feel totally safe and sure footed.

I was looking for a pair of comfortable, waterproof boots for hiking. I normally wear size 71/2 - 8, depending on the shoe/boot. I went to the local LLBean store to try them on, and a size 8 was perfect. With the wool socks that I wear, the sizing is perfect. I've tested them out in snow and slush and my feet stayed warm and dry.
I was concerned that the ankle area of the boot might rub, but no such issues at all. They were comfortable out of the box, and did not need any breaking in. Highly recommend!

Love Keen, but these seemed to be smaller than a 9.5. Had to take them back. They didn't have any more in stock.

These boots feel great right of the box! Good arch support and cushion for comfortable walking with ankle support. I have a hard time finding good footwear due to a damaged ankle but these fit and feel really good. Love these boots!!

I have been looking for a comfortable waterproof shoe that has good toe box room, good ankle support without digging in to my leg. It's been a challenge due to an ankle plate and screws on both sides of my ankle. That, along with 2 artificial knees which limit the rotation most people use to put their shoes on and never even notice they do that, it's been hard. I almost didn't try these on. I am so glad I did. I bought the same size I usually wear and they are perfect. With a larger ankle to deal with, they still fit great. I do only light hiking with non aggressive terrain so I can't speak to how they perform in that arena, but for me, this will be my day hiking shoe and my dog walking shoe in the snowy slushy winter. I am so happy to find these and a bonus is they don't look like orthopedic shoes. Hooray!

This is my 2nd pair. I wear them as an "everyday" often in the winter, and also when I'm going out on photo shoots in rural areas. I have a hard foot to fit and usually don't find such great comfort and function combined. I would recommend.

I love my Keens, I hiked the Salkantay trail in these and they saved my ankles from being twisted. They stayed dry though the many streams in Peru, the jungle and Galapagos. There are lots of loose rocks along the trail and because of the lack of oxygen I did a lot of stumbling I wore wool socks and had no blisters.

This was my second pair of hiking boots, so I knew what I needed that was missing in my old pair. I bought these in Freeport on my way in to hike Acadia NP in Maine. I put 270K steps on these in two weeks and they performed perfectly on slippery rocks, twisty trails, and rainy days. The tread saved me from falling several times. I would buy these again.

Glad I got a half-size up for a perfect fit. Sturdy, comfortable, easy to break in, and love the berry color laces and ribbon contrast. I share other reviewers' concern about the durability of the fabric shoelace loops, so plan to be gentle when tying, to avoid stretching them.

Im going to Hike Machu Picchu In September, so I have been breaking these hikers in. I walked though water and hiked trails with them, so far they feel good. I have a high arch and the top of my foot comes up more then most. I feel a little discomfort on the top of my foot, but I feel like this will get better with use. I have Keen sandals and love them for the arch support and that's why I choose these Hikers.
