I started out with the minx shorty lll in a size 9 which is usually my size, way too tight in toe box, so I ordered those in a 9 1/2 and also the Ice Maiden in both a 9 and 9 1/2 , the 9 fit, but I felt the 9 1/2 would be better with heavier socks and I could also add a arch support over the insole which comes with it. After trying so many pairs of boots, I decided I loved these and the price was right. I wore them to run errands today and the parking lots were icy and these boots were great. Seem like they will be warm, good for walking dogs, easy on/off. I hope I made a good choice and if not I didn't spend a fortune. The boots are cute, not heavy or bulky looking, even in 1/2 size larger.

Can you fall in love with a pair of snow boots? Yes, you can! I adore these Ice Maiden short boots. I have used them in rain and snow and my feet stayed perfectly dry. In fact, the first day I had them on, I was getting into an Uber and stepped in a deep puddle. I braced myself for that cold, soggy feeling. It never came! The boots really are waterproof. I have thick rag socks on and still have room in the boot. Are these the sexiest boots in the world? No, but having dry happy feet and not skidding on the ice means more to me than looking cute on a gross snowy day in New York. If you walk a lot and need a good warm boot that hits above the ankle, these are the boots for you.

My shoe size is probably technically a size 11.5, so I bought both size 11 and 12 in this boot to see which fit better. There isn't a ton of arch support in these boots and the placement of where the arch was is ultimately the reason I chose a different style of boot over this pair. If the boot is available in your exact size, you'll probably be ok. Since the half-size wasn't available for me, they just didn't work out. They are a good looking, warm boot and seemed to be of good quality. I wish they came in an 11.5 :(

My daughter loves these boots. Brought taller one like these last year and she complained about the shoe strings and bulky of the boots. But these ... she worn them everyday since she got them. Shorter less complicated and comfortable.

They fit perfectly with enough room for socks. I'm very happy with the quality and price. Can't wait for snow!

The shoe fits find but the boots is NOT waterproof..And it states waterproof but my feet got wet....

Good fit with Shorties. I also got the taller Ice Maidens II to try, also a good fit (in one size larger than the Shorties). I will keep and return the Shorties since I only need one pair of boots for super cold or snowy days. Need tall enough for up to a foot of snow, plus insulation for cold days whether there is snow or not, and for cold rainy days. Looks nice enough to wear to town or out, water and snow proof, and comfortable for walking - I have to walk one half mile to work and back each day, and they are perfect for that. I would certainly keep the Shorty if it weren't for deciding to keep the Ice Maiden II instead. I got one size larger than my normal size in Ice Maiden II, since boots often need one size up. Ice Maiden II will work great with thicker wool socks. Shorty in my normal size would be perfect (were I keeping them) with thinner high-tech fiber sports socks.

This is my 3rd pair of Columbia Ice Maiden boots, the others are the taller slip-ons, and I love them all! I got the shorter ones for days when there is a little less snow (no climbing through snow drifts!), but I still wanted warmth and a good grip for slippery spots. As with my other Columbia boots, these fill the bill. Plus they are a little easier to pack when I travel. Love them, will be getting more in other colors. (My husband doesn't get that, but oh well...)

I liked the shape of this boot and where it hit on my leg. At 5'2", I don't always like where boots cut my leg, depends on their style and shaft length. These desperately need the comfortable insole found in other Columbia boots like Minx and Heavenly. Not sure why these got such a flat insole though if you're planning on replacing with your own, I suppose it's a moot point. The insole included makes the boot way too spacious, even with my thick wool socks. I ordered a size 8 and am a 7.5-8 (38.5EU). When I tried it with the thicker insole of the other Columbia models, it felt perfectly comfortable. Called Columbia to ask if they sell the thicker insole a la carte (they don't) so heads up. The boot itself feels a bit stiff, especially after trying on the other two models mentioned, but for a winter boot at this price point, it seems sturdy enough and useful for snow/ice walking. However, I went with the Heavenly model in the end, couldn't ignore how comfortable it was.

I will keep them, however, if you are looking for good support or cushy comfort these are not that! The sole is hard and there is no support period. The color is supposedly gray and it is not, it is dark brown. But, it is wide enough when all other boots are tight on me, so I will keep them...but that is the only reason I'm not returning them.

The size 8 was good for my size 7.5 feet, because I wanted to wear heavy socks. But there was absolutely no arch support, and the size didn't work if I added my orthotics (which did not fit well into this boot.) So I am returning these.

These boots are really warm. I have cold feet and they actually feel toasty. The boot has no arch support but my orthotics fit without a problem and make them very comfortable. If you live in the north you all ready know that Columbia is a brand you can teuat

These fit me perfectly, which I was a little surprised. They are comfortable and warm and don't slip on ice, which is what I was looking for. I live in New York State, with cold winters.

This is a very nice boot. I like the look of it. I might say it runs wider than some boots. I compared it to another Columbia boot and the other won out the Keetley Shorty. Thank you Columbia for making good solid products we can depend on.

I love your company - its policies, shipping, returns, ordering, products, etc. The boots are fantastic. I love the look, feel and fit. I normally wear a 9&1/2 but ordered a 10. Was thinking about an exchange for a 10&1/2 but tried them on with a thick sock and the fit was fine. Should probably be ordered 1/2 to 1 size larger but I'm sticking with what I ordered. Looking forward to many more purchases with your company. Thanks.

This boot needs a wider toe box to accommodate enough room for wool socks or regular socks. I have a narrow foot but this rubbed my pinky toe against the boot side. Otherwise it would have been a great boot in regards to warmth, design, and quality!

I wear an 8.5 wide and hoped that a 9 regular would work, but the boot felt a little too tight. Worse than the slight tightness, however, was how inflexible the sole is. The boot felt pretty uncomfortable overall and I couldn't see myself walking for any distance in them for my upcoming trip to Iceland.

The material was stiff and uncomfortable. The boots were not warm at all. Not worth the money!!
