I am very happy with these shoes. They fit nice and look nice. Usually, shoes pinch my little toe on my right foot, but these do not. They were comfortable as soon as I put them on. I have worn other brands of shoes and Merrells do not pinch my little toe. That's not to say there are not other good brands. The most comfortable shoes I have are Merrell Bare Access, but they don't make them anymore. It seems shoe companies come out with new models every year, when in fact they should keep some models that people like. We are going to Norway next March and these Forestbound Mids should do very well.

My feet are pretty touchy and these boots felt great. Good solid support all over including arches and ankles. They offer good solid secure footing and are satisfying to wear.

Shoes are very comfortable and warm. I highly recommend any one.You won’t be disappointed.

Some hiking boots are too high and rub my ankles. These are lower and padded at the ankle so are very comfortable. Perfect fit for my 9.5.

These shoes are pretty awesome. I wanted a black leather boot like Doc Martens or similar, but ordered these as well on a whim. Before I even tried the second shoe on I knew they were keepers! They are true to size. They're extremely comfortable, and give me the "black boot" look I was hoping for with comfort "to boot" (pun intended). I highly recommend these shoes for everyday wear, and I'm sure they will make excellent hikers. I returned the other boots and I'm just excited that I didn't have to send a pair back to Zappos.

Light , good support. Very comfortable right out of the box. I usually need a 15 wide but these are 14M and are perfect.

Insole is terrible. The insole is supposed to confirm to the shape of your feet, instead it won't stay in place and conformed to the shape of my heel. Tongue needs a lot more cushioning. It goes completely flat very quickly until your laces are nearly hanging on the floor to snuggly tighten the boot. The support, cushioning, and look are great. But the insole is useless.

I been using Merrell boot and shoes since '98, I have always been satisfied with the foot wear and the Merrell Forestbound did not disappoint. Thank you for the excellent service, very fast delivery and free shippng. you have a new customer.

Good outdoor boot.

I bought these because my winter boots are a little too short, hard to get on, and the traction on icy slopes is iffy. These came today, two days early, yay. I put them on, they fit perfectly with plenty of room and good heel support. I tried them out while shoveling my driveway which is on a slope and I didn’t slip once. Very pleased with this purchase, hope they last throughout the winter and beyond.

Bought these as a gift for my son-in-law. I bought his first pair of Merrell’s over 15 years ago. His comment “If these last as long as the last pair of Merrell’s, I will retire before needing another pair. Love them!” Great selection, quality construction and consistent, reliable sizing - size 15 - for great fit.
