My biggest complaints are that the mid-shoe width does not accommodate my feet. Also, the ad states that the upper is all leather. The lower portion of the upper appears to me to be synthetic and not leather. Only wore them inside the house so can't comment on thermal performance or traction in winter conditions.

Perfect fit. Nice and light yet warm. Would buy again. So thankful for a size 14 that is not wide.

I purchased the boots 3 weeks ago. I was on the "fence" about whether to return the product after my initial trial-fitting because the width was a bit tight even though I bumped my sizing up a 1/2 size. During my 3rd fitting attempt using a different sock, the plastic lacing eyelet popped off the boot while I was cinching-up the laces. Merrell is my go-to company for quality and comfort in hiking shoes and boots, but my overall impression is that Merrell's design/construction quality has dropped off at this price point.

Fit is nice, walking is comfortable with ample toe room. However, even with thick wool socks, feet get cold if temps dip below 25F, even when walking. I dont have problems with circulation, and would have expected 200gm thinsulate and reflective layer to keep my feet toastier. Glad I didnt pay full price for these. Suppose to be 10F today, so its gonna be a short venture out with these disappointing boots.

I've got other Merrel shoes and boots which fit perfectly. These boots however are approximately 1/2 size too large. I have to wear very thick socks to be comfortable in them. Width and length are both large. The style and colour is great, but the lower rating is due to the size issue I experienced.

Bought this version 2 years ago have only worn a few seasons. If you're looking for a comfortable boot this is it. They are absolutely not waterproof at all. As I walked i could feel my toes getting wet first then all the way up to the top of my foot. After owning several pairs of Merrell boots maybe it's time to change. Maybe the Made in China has something to do with it.

Poorly built. The top lacing pieces fell off the boots on first time lacing them up. Very poorly made.
Customer service was fantastic in replacing them though. So that's a + for them.

Similar to other users, the eyelet came off on my third time ever wearing these. Ridiculous! I'm very disappointed in these.
I did like how light these were, the comfort was pretty good too, slightly narrow fitting I found

Firstly, it's not waterproof, which is main reason I bought this shoe.
The clips for the shoelace also being taken off after 1 time use (all 6 of them). They are so cheaply made. You will find other people share the same issue. I like the design though.

I am super bummed about these boots. I've owned numerous pairs of Merrell in the past and have always loved them and their quality. These are no good. The first time putting them on and cinching the laces, the top eyelet popped right off. It's plastic with a metal backing it "plugs" into. Tried to put it back together but it keeps popping out. Terribly cheap. It happened on both boots. The rest of the boot seems well made but they are useless with such junky eyelets. Now I have to go through the hassle on of sending them back. Sorry Merrell but you really let me down on these.

I personally would not buy these boots. I love the outside of them but I wore them and they are the most uncomfortable pair of boots I've ever worn. I thought walking in them and breaking them in would do the trick? Absolutely not. My feet actually hurt me bad after wearing these for a few days. Going to contact customer service to see if they'd take them back or swap them out. I give these a 1/10. Thanks
