I bought these lightweight boots for work. I travel long distances on cave trails. Within 2 weeks, the rubber on outside of soles became torn and I ended up just pulling them off. Funny thing is, I also wear a pair of Ariat work boots every other day. I would look twice before buying these.

Worst pair of boots I've ever owned ! I'm a driver for Amazon, I had to stop wearing them , very uncomfortable !

although i cannot be a "verified buyer" i assure you i am...i did read reviews about how comfortable these are...wrong...i am on my feet 12.5 hours a day and these are one of the most hurtful shoes my feet have had to deal with...the other thing that boggles my thought process is the laces...constantly coming untied...as with my other merrel work shoes that are falling apart...i am done...if you are following my reviews i am certain you are wondering if i had such a horrible experience with the jungle moc's why did i buy these...well, my work paid for them and the gal assured me they were going to be comfortable...definitely not!

Fit was fine. However I bought these less than 6 months ago and they started leaking on me. both feet got soaked the other day when we had a bunch of rain in my area. Shoes should last longer than this.

Not water proof as advertised! Comfort is ok but didn't last bit 6 months! Not worth the coin!

Those wore out even quicker than my regular Moab 2s. Waterproofing and stitching is poor quality. If you are buying for hunting, fishing or exploration, don't bother. Company doesn't stand behind their products.

Most painful shoes I've ever had the displeasure if wearing. Nothing short of torture! The amount of pain is unbelievable, why would you sell these to people? How heartless can you be?

Let me start off by saying I wear MerrelI Moab 2s daily. I love that shoe, they are very comfortable and the Vibram soles are a pleasure to walk on (I am on my feet 8 - 10 Hours out of the day)! Now onto the review of the Moab Vertex; I purchased my first pair about a year ago and about three months in the soles were separating from the boot itself. I contacted Merrell and they sent a new pair. Pair #2; again the soles are separating from the boot, the soles themselves began to come apart (lugs began peeling away from the sole). It feels as if the soles are plastic and very cheaply made!!! I will continue to purchase and wear the Mab 2, but as for these I "DO NOT" recommend these boots...
