fit is snug in the midfoot. i have an average foot. comfortable out of the box and waterproof, these boots have seen alot of rain and walks in wet grass. my job requires alot of walking on uneven terrain i will look for a more comfortable composite toe boot after i where these out.

The boots are comfortable and very lightweight. The tongue of the boot is huge and it pops out and away from the boot so that straight legged pants don't work well with these boots, which is a shame because I bought them for work and all my pants are straight legged. The loop at the back of the boot also gets hung up on the hem of pants. if you're going to wear them with shorts they should be fine but I won't buy these again.

pros: slip resistant on wet floors. warm shoes. perfect fit. cons: not waterproof. a little uncomfortable when walking 30-45minutes. it hurts the middle part of my sole. too short laces.

I bought this as a work boot. I am an inventory specialist and am in a warehouse all day walking between 6 to 10 miles a day. I am required to use composite or steel toe shoes. This boot is exactly what I need. The only unfortunate part is that the inserts are cut poorly. And rubs in weird spots on my foot. If I take the inserts out it has to be the most comfortable boot I have ever known. I just have to get better inserts.

Found that this model was wide and sloppy on the foot. Added my own footbed insert to prevent my foot from sliding.

Ordered my usual size 9 & the boots were too large.Also ordered the Moab Vertex low Waterproof Comp Toe Work Boot, size 9, & they, too, were too large. A few months ago I ordered a pair of Merrell Thermo Freeze boot, size 9, & they fit perfectly.

The boot was never waterproof...the very first time I stepped in water above my ankle they leaked. Also, the soles are coming apart(tearing from walking on rock) and the stitching in the toe is coming apart. Maybe a good boot for plant work but not so in the oilfield. I am a supervisor so the boot hasn't been through strenuous usage. The boot is less than a year old and needs to be replaced. I bought this shoe a week ago for the oil resistant that it says that is there, sorry to say they ARE NOT! Very disappointed bc I wanted to like them and to know that they were gonna keep me safe at work

I knew there was a problem 15 minutes into my shift: left shoe was great, light, fit perfectly, but right foot kept caving in to the left. No matter how many times I adjusted the insole, it slid back into position and left my heel directly over the hard rubber edge of the sole over and over rather than sitting in the heel cup, all my weight uncomfortably on the inner edge of my foot. Left foot was perfectly centered, no discomfort or adjusting necessary. Not sure if this is quality assurance or the machine is out of whack, but I remember having this problem 1.5 years ago with the non-safety Moabs as well which resulted in returning and exchanging for different pairs 2 or 3 times. Not sure how this hasn't been solved yet. This is a problem I've only ever had with these shoes. I'm sending these back asap because I can barely walk in them let alone lift heavy things, but not sure I want the hassle of multiple returns again, especially at this price. Until I find a proper replacement, I'm returning to the bootleg men's Merrells (official sizes don't run small enough for me) I bought off Amazon 8 years ago.

I could never break these boots in. Went through 3 boxes of band aids and still - my feet were killing me wearing these boots. I gave them a chance but after 3 weeks they still hurt.

I bought these booths a few weeks ago. I work with horses and am on my feet all day. I have other Merrell shoes that are very comfortable, but these are not. I bought the same size as my other Merrell shoes and these are not the same - much wider even though I bought medium width. There is also a ton of pressure on the lateral side of my foot which is incredibly painful by the end of the day.

I've worn them for 3 weeks now, went through 3 boxes of band aids and they still hurt. I wear work shoes 9 hrs a day, 5 days a week. On my feet the entire time running around.
