Excellent and perfect out of the box. Best shoe ever; however, had to return due to hard toe discomfort. Needed a soft toe but not available in his size. Not a shoe problem but a toe problem. Wish this shoe was available in a soft toe. Was a gift to a big guy.

I live in a place with all four seasons. I was already an owner of the Merrill Moab mid Ventilator. I've had them for years and they fit my feet perfectly and are very comfortable. The Moab Vertex waterproof boots are much the same. They are just what I need to stay active when it's wet/raining/snowing. They fit perfectly and the work boot toe provides extra protection when I'm working outside. They may look like a sport boot but they are a tough work boot too. I'm glad I picked them up. If you need a dry, comfortable work/hiking boot, this is it.I plan to use these for years to come.

I always order Merrells a 1/2 size larger, the fit is perfect. I'm on my feet all day at work and I'm comfortable. I'll buy another pair for winter.

These boots are the most comfortable I've owned. Working all day on my feet on concrete is a breeze.

I received these boots in the mail yesterday and took them for a 3 hour test ride around the town and my first impressions are that these are possibly the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. The comp toe is strong and lightweight. I'm writing this at the end of my 8hr shift where I have to be on my feet at all times and I was never uncomfortable. 20/10 highly recommend.

Needed some comp toe work boots but hate the break in period of more traditional leather ones. Have worn and loved Merrell moabs for a while and know they they don't really need broken in. These boots are no different and are perfect for a construction site.

We live in the Arizona desert and having good footwear is essential because of the thorns and cacti. These boots are comfortable and sturdy. The only challenge was getting the size right and then finding a "wide" size. The inventory at Merrell varies weekly so it wasn't easy and we returned wrong sized product.

I bought this boot for my son who works in pool construction full time. They are holding up very well thus far and he reports they have been comfortable from the moment he started wearing them. He's also pleased with the weight of them as boots can get very heavy to be in all day. The comp toe and waterproofing are great features for his line of work. This is a really solid boot at a reasonable price.

These are very comfortable right out of the box, no extras needed. I got rid of 3 pairs of Keens because they just weren't comfortable, wish I'd bought the Merrell boots first. Expensive lesson but finally satisfied!

Lightweight, flexible and shock absorbing. Definitely a good boot if you are on your feet all day.

This shoe is incredibly comfortably! I walk all day on solid concrete. (Airport Ramps). The steps are soft and the shoe has good shock absorbtion. The traction is also excellent in oily patches. Warm and dry during wet Seattle winter days. My favorite Merrell, and I have worn many....

Fit and size are true to ad. I do not find the fit a bit "sloppy". Waterproofing is adequate for the heavy rain, though I have not tried them in puddles as yet. Price is a little high, but performance is good. I would expect nothing less from Merrill

I've worn the soft-toe version for years, for outdoor activities, and LOVE them. When I saw the same boot was offered with a safety-toe, I was skeptical but willing to try them. What does an outdoor company know about safety shoes? Apparently a lot. Typically safety shoes take a while to break-in and be comfortable, if at all. These felt like sneakers right out of the box. I did flex the soles a few times before putting them on, but that might not have been necessary. I'm on my feet all day during my 12-hour shifts - on concrete, in inclement weather, and on oily and muddy surfaces. These boots can handle it in comfort. I swear some days (prior to wearing these) I'd literally limp back to my truck because my feet hurt so bad by the end if the day. These are awesome and I will be getting these from now on for work!

So, my first pair of these (the regular Moab) was given to me by my dad. I thought they were a little nerdy looking, but so am I so I didn't sweat it too much. After 4 hours of doing some home improvement work, I said to myself, my feet feel great. I started wearing them more and more, and it turned into my everyday shoe outside of work. I fell in love with the comfort, the 4x4 off road capability, and eventually the look (they suit my style of jeans and flannels). Over the course of 2 months I had 8 run ins with other dudes who loved their Merrell's; and that's when I heard about the composite toe version. I didn't even make it home before I googled them! I saw they were the same exact style but a worker version with a composite toe! I was blown away. I ordered them within days, and there are some nights I try and wear them to bed, but my wife won't let me. If you are contemplating these boots for any level of work, please do yourself a favor and buy them. I hope you enjoyed my truthful [humorous] story. Get yourself a pair fellas.
