I am a size 14 (sometimes 12) and I bought an XL in the Nocturnal color - nice color - I always seek darker shades in athletic wear because they are more flattering. I also like the style and fit. It's somewhat loose in the waist but I can work with that as long as it not too clingy or tight in the hips/thighs area where I carry most of my weight. Since I am medium height, the length is hits right above the ankle, as shown on the model. We will see how it holds up in the wash. Oh, also, the material is not restrictive and that may be to your liking or not.

these pants could not have been less flattering. kudos to the model for making them look good. an awkward fit in real life

Super cute style. Not like the usual baggy hiking pant. I wear these when it rains or to amusement parks. Most water beads off and dries super quick.

I would give these a 5 star if the waist was not such a tight elastic. I usually always wear a small and the legs fit me perfectly, but the waist is too tight. Going up to a medium fixed the uncomfortable waistline but the legs are too big. I have a friend who is a 0-2 and bought the xsmall and had the same problem. So if you’re in between sizes I recommend sizing up. The legs are stretchy and forgiving. Just wish the waistband was too.

Love, love this pants! I only wish that I had purchased one more. Please make more of this in more colors such as grey, brown, tan, as well as black and navy. These pants are the definitive staples to any basic wardrobe.

I can only say that these are perfect for me. They are light weight and extremely comfortable to wear all day. They also fit me perfectly and are very nice looking. I get compliments. Couldn't be any more pleased with this purchase and I got them in two other colors too.

Love these pants! Super comfortable. I was looking for something to protect from the sun when kayaking but they're so comfy I ordered a second pair. I ordered an XL so I can wear my bathing suit underneath and they iwork well.

I wasn't sure about these and as soon as they came in I tried them on and they're so comfortable. They fit like leggings but with a little different look.

The pants run true to size and have a draw string at the bottom which is nice when you're short like I am. The pockets come in handy for my phone and the fabric seems like very good quality. They are nice and comfortable for hiking.

I love these pants so much that I bought a pair and after wearing them 3 times the following week, I ordered another pair! They are so comfortable, flattering, and versatile. I can wear them to lounge around the house, go on a hike, ride a bike, play with my kids, and look put together. It is rare to find an item of clothing that can do it all. Excellent for traveling as they are so versatile and dry quickly. On a size note: I am 5'5" and these hit about 2-3 inches above my ankle, which is very flattering and hit right at my natural waist. I bought a size small which is what the size chart suggested for my measurements and they fit perfectly.

I have been a Saturday Trail Stretch Pant and Anytime Outdoor fan for years. Tried these and LOVE the fact that there are no back pockets. Front pockets are nice and deep. Already ordered more! I'm not exercising as much as usual so gained a bit of weight. Was wearing size 14 Saturday Trail pants, but have gained weight lately not being as active right now. Ordered these in XL and L. The XL Fits perfect with ample room around waist. The L fits but is more like a legging right now. Keeping both sizes.

I am 5'4" and 170. I read the previous reviews and thought the pants would be too small in the waist so I ordered a large and regret that decision. The waist is so large on me that they are sliding down. This color is larger than the black! I will have to run a cord to actually help adjust the waist to cinch it more. They are super comfy and I love the look. I am purchasing two other pair in size medium. I have issues finding pants that fit my thighs (fuller) and small waist. If that's you, consider ordering your NORMAL size and DO NOT order up.

I am almost 3 months postpartum with my second child and while I am a ways away from my former waistline, these pants are fantastic! They are casual, but look nicer than most joggers and are more comfortable than leggings. The elastic waistband is key for my current figure and I expect to get tons of use out of these!

Great for every day either as leggings XL or under a dress instead of tights L, they are great. I do notice a little bunching around the knees if worn frequently. But overall excellent and stylish!

I have 4 pairs if these pants!!!!! They literally are the most comfortable and dare I say cutest bottoms I own. They are my new go to instead of sweats. The other great thing about them is they are great for 3 seasons of the year. Please don't ever stop making these.

This is my second pair. Love the look and feel of these pants. Comfortable like leggings but, more professional looking. Fabric is cool and stretches well.

Perfect fit! I’m really y’all (6’1’’) and these hit me mid calf in a size large. I don’t super care about the strings on the sides but they do look really cute. Pocket just deep enough for my phone if I’m just in the house. Super comfortable with some room in the hips. I loved them so much I ordered another pair.

These are wonderful! They are super comfortable, great as ankle pants or even a tad longer at normal length for me at 5'4", as well as convertible to Capri length. They are water repellent and sun shielding, so great for the great outdoors whether engaged in physical activity like hiking or having a water gun fight with the grandkids. While they are labeled mid rise, with the wide stretchy waistband, I can wear them at my waist which I much prefer and find most comfortable. Need another pair!

I have every Anytime Casual style from the shorts to pants and capris. Comfortable like sweatpants, but look a whole lot better! I usually roll my pants up a few turns, so thought this style made sense. The calf part where it scrunches is a bit tight. I have muscular legs and they are tight without being restrictive. Given the chance I would loosen the fit below the knee a bit, but am still happy to wear them. I have found that this Anytime Casual style fits more true to size, while the others run a tad big. It's best to air dry these after washing as they will shrink. I did this to my other Anytime Casual styles to tighten them up, but did not need to on these.

This is an amazing pair of pants. Fits well and is a great fabric with great movement. Can be worn to work or on a hike. Durable and ready to go anywhere! Another great product from Columbia.

I absolutely love these pants. They fit so well and the waist is great. They are cute with the little ruched detail. I liked them so much I bought another pair in a different color. Will purchase again

Nice product and advice to buy

These pants have been awesome for me so far! Great pants to bike into work in, and look nice enough to wear all day long. They breathe really well and the stretch is quite comfortable for long plane rides. I like the adjustable feature of the bottom as well, so I can actually have "ankle-length" pants for my short legs. My only (minor) complaint is that the fit was a touch tighter than I was hoping for, maybe its the size I got. Fit is closer to a legging than a pant, in my opinion. But, they are stretchy so doesn't feel too tight, just not quite as loose as I expected.
