I am so excited about these pants. I needed something for summer travel that would be durable, comfortable, light, not take up a ton of space in my bag, and versatile in terms of temperature. These are it! They look neat and stylish, are very comfortable, not hot at all, and will be great from walking around all day to going out to eat at night. Super happy with them. I got the black (not sure I like the steel grey or I would order those too) and might by another pair so I can take two with me.

I bought these to go deep sea fishing, I prefer long pants to the shorts since the Gulf gets HOT in the summer. I found these pants to be simply lovely. Light, flexible, and practical. I loved the wide elastic waist, it doesn't look dated and fits so comfortable. I liked them so much I've been wearing them to the ball fields, and just about everywhere else. The drawn ankle keeps them stylish too! I'll be purchasing another color. Wish these were offered in more of the lighter colors too.

These are my new favorite pants. I bought them in preparation for a trip through Europe and I think they are going to work perfectly. They are light weight, very breathable, and perfectly stretchy without stretching out and looking baggy. I purchased the light grey in store and look forward to adding more colors to my collection. I wear an 8 or 10 in pants normally and the medium fit perfectly.

Although the fit is tighter than I'd like (Legs narrow not waist) the pants are cute and comfortable. They're super light and definitely repel water. On hot days they're great for walks. I wish they had a pocket to hold my iPhone tho. That's my only complaint.

I initially ordered the XS but found it a bit too snug. I returned and ordered the S which is more comfortable and functional.

I was looking for a pant that I could wear either to work or when I'm traveling that was versatile, comfortable, and had sun protection. This has it all, including the adjustable ankle. I got two pairs in black and pond. The pond is a little darker olive than it appears on the site which works for me. The black seems to run a hair smaller than the pond. I have a 32" waist and 39" hips and while these fit me, I think I may have done better with a large. However, in a large the butt may not look as good. I plan to lose weight so I wore these over Spanx and they fit fine now, and will best fit once I drop a few. If I was to improve them I would have an adjustable drawstring in the waist so that I can wear them at one weight or another as I tend to yo-yo. They make my butt look great but the waist is a bit tight.

These pants are well-made and comfortable. The tie at the bottom is a fun touch. These pants are just a little tight in the calf on me, and I don't have big calves. It could be that the pants are supposed to be longer so they don't fit exactly like they should as my legs are long for my size. Though they are a little wide in the hips, they look and wear well enough for me to keep them. I'm 5'6", 120 lbs with a lean boyish body type and long legs and arms (usually wear a 33" inseam). I purchased a size small.

Normally wear an XS - too tight, everything was visible! order larger size. The colors are beautiful, although the light grey is a bit too light.

These are my favorite hiking pants (I love the length, pockets!, and general style) but mine fell apart after 10 months (the stitching around the waste band completely fell apart and they were ruined). So great pants but poor quality.

Only worn once since purchase on a hot, humid day. It was comfortable. The material is very thin so I hope it wears well. There are ankle ties which are also thin. I bought a light gray and wish it were slightly darker for dirt.

I have an older pair of anytime outdoor ankle pants that I've had for a couple of years. These are comparable in comfort (I actually prefer the elastic waist instead of the old snap, zipper and drawstring) and just as nice of quality. The old ones don't have the ties at the bottom of the leg. However, these run quite a bit smaller. I have 2's (the smallest available) in the old style, and they are quite loose and a bit big on me. I ordered these in an XS and they are very snug. Fit like a legging. Still great pants though!!

I where a 10 in Columbia pants and they fit slighty loose but an 8 is too snug. I ordered these in a medium which should be an 8 to 10 equivalent. They have a lot of stretch but seem very small almost to the point I think they are a small. The ankles are adjustable but snug. I saw these at a local store but they didn't have the color i wanted, the medium was bigger.

True to size. Colors are as shown. Material is soft, pants are well made. The wierd thing these are not ankle pants for me -they are calf pants because I am 5'9" tall (134 lbs) so I took off a star for the poor description. I got the size medium. I guess they would be ankle pants is you are 5'. They are nice as they are not very snug on thhe calfs. They looks nice on. Can be dressed up or down. I wish Columbia made these in a tall so I can have ankle pants.

Fit and size were fine,but the cropped legs were awkward looking. I ordered another style instead.

I wanted to like these, especially "nocturnal" color, and would likely be OK for a thin frame ordering a size up. For me, however, the fabric was a too thin and clingy, which made them inappropriate to wear in public. Like the ubiquitous skin-tight yoga pants, but with ruching.

I ordered a size large in the silvery/grey color & I really wanted to love them but unfortunately this color puts a spot light on any cellulite/bumps n’ lumps you may have. They have great stretch, are lightweight & are really comfortable. The synched/tie detail in the leg is super cute & they hit the shins at a flattering length. I’m a 12/14 & the size chart is accurate so the large was a good fit but there was so much extra bagging around the lower abdomen/upper thigh area for me. These are going back.

These pants would have been great if they weren't too short to be regular pants and too long to be culottes or capris. Great comfort and craftsmanship, impractical design.

I am debating whether or not to return these. I looked at the fit and size guide before I ordered and realize that "active" would be more snug than other styles but these fit like "performance". I realize I am a plump little thing, but here's the thing: the tag reads "leg: skinny" which I know enough not to order. Me + skinny leg = uh-uh. So why isn't "leg: skinny" anywhere in the description? Sshould have paid more attention to the review that compared them to leggings.

I purchased these pants a month ago and they are already garbage. Low quality and terrible sizing. Columbia products are not the same anymore. Very very disappointed.
