My third pair! Used for dance only (Jazzercise, Zumba etc). I bruised my toes walking in a pair on vacation on hilly surfaces but ok walking on flat even surface like the airport. I usually order a size 9 but my last 2 pair were 9 1/2 to allow for a thicker insert due to arthritis in my big toes.

Surprisingly comfortable! Cushion under the ball of the foot and in the heel. I'm keeping a smaller size.

I am an athletic person now almost 72 years of age who loves to participate in gym classes like barbell weight lifting, yoga flow, Pilates flow work and cycling. It is important that my gym shoe be supportive and well-cushioned for the weight lifting classes. Decades ago, I had bunion surgery on both feet, so it matters to me that I have lots of room for the front of my foot. New Balance (NB) 9.5 WW normally fits me very well. The only reason I got this shoe was that I could not resist the beautiful colors. I have the pink/mauve one and it is very attractive. There is a bit more arch support than my NB cross-training shoe has. The soles inside have high and low spots, which massage the bottom of the foot. Since I have had these shoes just one week, I cannot comment on wear and tear over time. I never use good gym or cycling shoes out on the streets and sidewalks, so I expect these to last. It is refreshing to have an exercise shoe for a person with extra wide feet that is really attractive. It is cute!

I'm an active 70 year old and these are the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever owned! Great right out of the box; no break-in period needed. Totally agree with the product description that the sole design "provides great shock and impact protection". First pair of Ryka's and they won't be my last!

It was a bit small when I ordered a size 9, so I went up 1/2 size and love these. The shoe is perfect. Thanks so much for your kindness in regard to returns. I've always found it difficult to find shoes that fit, and Zappos went the "extra mile" to help me-both on a customer service tel call and in our emails back and forth. All this to say that I recommend Zappos to everyone I know.

Fit & comfort was great, but not for someone with a high arch. Shoe cuts in too much underneath the arch, so not enough arch support. Resulted in wobbly walk.

Best and most wide in forefoot for walking comfort that i have tried! Finally a shoe that fits!!

I bought these for walking around Italy. They were truly SO comfortable, even after hours on my feet.

I really like the way these fit my feet. They are wide enough and very comfortable. I don't like the way the laces tighten but it isn't something that would keep me from buying them again.

These fit well for narrow footed/narrow heeled people! These sneakers accommodate orthotics. Love Rykas WITH TIES! Their slip ons are a different story...
