These are very high quality slippers but they don't fit that great compared to the low cut slipper which fit amazing. For some odd reason the high cut made for warmth that goes around the ankles messed with the structure and they don't fit right especially when walking. I had to return these but I have 3 pair of the low top ones and love them.

The rigid exoshell makes the slipper clunky and not comfortable. The liner is soft

The old Manawan was sooooo much better. These don't slip on and off nearly as easily and they are so snug that feet get clammy. Quality is excellent but the design not so much. Please bring back the original Manawan.

New manawan 2 slippers, can no longer slip in and out of them like the original manawans. Terrible new design, will not buy again until original manawan brought back.

I have purchased the original for many years and love them. I still have 3 old pairs around the house because I can't throw them away. This new version is very disappointing. First of all, I can't get them on without a great struggle. The "hole" is too small and there is very little to grab onto to pull them on.I'm going to have to get a shoehorn (seriously). Slippers are supposed to "slip", aren't they? Getting them off is no breeze, either. Also they are not as comfortable. I don't know whether it's the lining or the tight opening but my feet feel like they can't breathe. Why did you ruin a good thing?

I LOVED the original Manawan slipper. Have purchased 3 pairs in the last 5 years or so - and have worn them pretty much every day. So I decided to get a new pair and see that the Manawan 2 is now your "updated" version of the Manawan. I decided to go with the same size and just received the pair today. The design is similar but not as rugged looking. The worst part is they are too small (probably needed a 12 of the Manawan 2 vs. an 11 of the original Manawan). The shoe is harder to put on too but maybe the smaller size is the issue here. I just really liked the original version and don't know why you made the change. Like I said, the new design looks too formal and stodgy - I liked the original look better. So......I gave the Manawan 2 to my father - his feet are smaller so they fit him. Still, they were hard for him to put on. And for me? Well, I have spent the last 30 minutes looking everywhere for an Original Manawan in a size 11 in either Bark or Black - but they are not to be found anywhere. I did find an original Manawan in my size but in Marsh color. Bought it. It was the only original 11 I could find. just wish I stocked up before you made the change. I really liked the original Manawan and hope you bring it back. After all, who really liked New Coke?

If you plan to wear these without socks, you know, like slippers, then I hope you have a shoe horn. These are EXTREMELY hard to put on, since there is no pull tab. They fit perfectly once they are on, though. They're also very uncomfortable without socks for a couple of reasons. First, the Sorel label under the heel feels very weird compared to the fleece lined insole around it. But far worse than that, the edges of the insole are hard and sharp, and not covered by fleece. That alone makes it completely unwearable without socks. It feels like there is a plastic butterknife grating against your foot. Since it is molded, the edges aren't just flat, but turned upwards, directly towards you foot.

I bought a pair of Manawan II slippers about 1.5 years ago strictly for house slippers. I don't wear them daily as I have another different pair of slippers. Although very comfortable, the soles did not last. The back of the heels completely wore out and have come apart. won't bother to call customer service as it appears from other posts that the company doesn't back their product after the 1 year warrantee.

I owned the original Manawan slippers, which were very good slippers, except that the soles wore out too soon. The slippers are in good shape except for the soles. These "new" Manawan II slippers are pathetic and should not even include the Manawan name. The opening is significantly more narrow than the original Manawan. I used to wear a pair of no-show socks in them so that I did not go barefoot in them. However, these II edition slippers barely allow you to get your bare foot inside, even with a bigger size slipper than the original. Since I tried them on and "used" them walking inside my home, they are no longer new and this company simply says "you can return them if they are new and unused." Obviously, this company has lost another customer due to their _____. Goodbye!

Returned them. I loved my original Matawan slippers. Had them for years. Wanted to buy another pair, but only Matawan 2's now. Not nearly as easy to get on and off, and less comfortable. Disappointed.

After only wearing these shoes in the house, the sole of these slippers turned sticky almost overnight. I contacted customer service who said that they have heard of this from other customers. Since I was out of the one year warranty window, they said sorry that they could not be of any help. They suggested washing it, putting on baking powder, but those things only made the oozing stickiness of the sole worse. The residue from the deteriorating rubber is super sticky and doesn't even wash off my hands with soap. I googled and it's the rubber molecularly deteriorating. It's really disappointing when a company doesn't stand behind their product and a known defect

When are these coming out in smaller sizes??? I'm a women's size 7.5 and love these slippers but the currently offered sizes won't fit me and the "women's" shoes aren't my style. Didn't realize we had to gender our slippers Sorel.... it's time to talk about Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion over there.

Why did you place a sorel tag in the foot bead of the slipper?? It itches and is annoying! They were returned and we don't look to this brand again.

I've had many pairs of the Manawan I. I wanted another but found it had been redesigned. This new design sucks. There is no longer slits in the front or back so you have to smash/stretch the fabric to get your foot in. Also, it now requires you use a hand to pull it up over your heal. So lame. Not only that but the insole is of such crap QC that the sides are bent up in the pair I received so it feels like I'm walking around on a piece of rubber on the left side. Who designed these? Did you really stand around the prototype table thinking "wow, we really have a winner here". Or was the goal purely lowering cost but charging the consumer more? I don't get it.
