I bought these for work. My uniform is all black. The soles are true black and the canvas is more of a forest green. I wish they looked the same as an older pair of all black vans I have.

They are not as advertised. Definitely not slip resistant. I slide more in these shoes than I do wearing my DC shoes to work.. and DC doesn't make slip resistant shoes!

I bought 3 pairs of shoes because I love them , the other 2 are ok but this one Ii use them for work because they are supposed to be non slip , I already had a pair like this and it works but this new pair that I got it's really bad , they slip and try to contact customer service but the only thing that they said was that I can return them I don't understand how customer service work here , I mean I really want the shoes but they didn't apologize or nothing . It is so sad

The shoes aren't black, more like grayish green.

These shoes are said to be slip resistant. They are comfortable but definitely not meant to work in restaurants.

I slipped all through work. Had to hold the walls and bar rails to keep me from falling. Very disappointed :( can't return once worn either.

I love the shoes.. if I were just buying them as sneakers. Please read the reviews and listen, if you need slip resistant, these are NOT. not in the slightest. They are a slight green tinge like the other reviews say, which isn't a big problem for me. But don't advertise these as slip resistant when they are clearly not. I can't return them either as I wore them to work. Oh well.

Not buying this shoes again. They look like an old pair of shoes right out of the box.

Color faded pretty immediately from a grayish black to a weird shade of green. Soles detaching from canvas after about 20 wears.

I used to buy the knock off nonslip vans for work, they would last me about 6 months. I'm a barista so the floors are wet and sticky from all the syrup and milk spilled. Finally invested in the vans brand nonslip and was bummed they aren't very slip resistant. I would've been fine with that, but they also got a hole in the canvas within 3 weeks of wearing them. Bummed out I love the style and cushioned insole, but not worth the price.

I have a pair of the Old School made for the makers high tops, and I like them. Purchased these and they're both too narrow and WAY too long. They're a full half inch longer than my old regular Authentics. Returned them.

Wore these for one day and slipped well over a dozen times at work. I think I slipped significantly more in these than in normal vans.

The vans are not black but dark green. It's upsetting to wait them and get something else that you didn't order

If you wanna waste money for shoes that hurt and fall apart after a few weeks go ahead! Won't be doing that again. If you aren't working in them than I guess buy them but they aren't safe for restaurant floors that are slippery! I'll stick to my crocs

These shoes have been my signature work shoe for 7+ years. Up until this most recent pair, I've had no issues. But now my newest pair I've been slipping on the smallest puddle in my restaurant. I'm very sad that these aren't the same shoe.

For reference I have been wearing Vans as my day to day shoe for 15+ years and Vans Made for the Makers as my professional kitchen shoe for 6+ years. About a month ago I bought my 3rd pair of Made for the Makers (so a lifespan of roughly 3 years per pair with 50-60 hour work weeks on average) and there is a very noticeable difference. The upper shoe seems pretty much identical when it comes to durability, comfort and break in time but the sole is absolutely not non slip. Since purchasing I have worn my old pair on the same kitchen floors and the difference is night and day. I'd even be willing to bet that your standard pair of Vans are more slip resistant than these. If others received the same quality of shoe I did there's bound to be some serious injuries occuring, cannot recommend less.

I've bought a different style of non slip Vans for a few years now which were very comfortable. This time I decided to try this style in the same size as the other pair. Very painful and tight fitting. I had to leave work early because I couldn't work with my feet hurting so bad. I will be exchanging these for the other style that I've been wearing. Also the color says black but in person they are a faded greenish grey color

I bought these to wear to work. My company has a very strick black shoes only dress code, but these shoes are absolutely green not black. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for true black shoes.

It took 6 months for me to break them in to where I don't get blisters, but just after that the shoes started falling apart. They're cheaply made.

Shoes look a dark green color not even black to begin with. Ultra Cush wore out quickly. Most importantly, not enough grip for wet/ greasy floors.

Honestly these are the worst slip resistant shoes I have ever bought. I work in a restaurant and im slipping everywhere. They aren't safe to use if your job requires sip resistant shoes. Waste of money

I tried this shoe for a second time hoping it would last longer than the first pair but they did not. If this shoe is intended for people that do work it should have a longer life span.
