They 100% are a grey off green color from the jump. Which isn't a travesty. But still. I have worked in bars for 15 years and these are a good work shoe for 3 days a week and if you're ok with shoes lasting about 2 months. They keep water off your feet pretty well initially. Even better with the spray. But after a couple months they just can't hang. The slip resistance is ok. Not outstanding. But it works in a normal wet bar environment. I've only noticed they get slippy on wet glossy floors. They look rad and aren't the classic lame nonslips. But still could be better in the performance dept. Vans if you want a real industry employee to help improve this shoe hit me up!

I love Vans and have been a customer for many years..I bought these shoes for work but they look green. I have been buying these shoes for a couple years and have never had this problem. I need to order another pair for work but am hesitant to repurchase if I'll receive the same green color shoes.

if using for work in a restaurant, it may not pass your uniform inspection

Kind of disappointed. They're more of a green than black which is what I need for my uniform for work

The shoes were the style I wanted but the black color was a little more of a lighter shade and they need better traction if you wear non slip shoes to work in a kitchen I'm satisfied but quality can improve

I bought these for work which requires me to wear all black shoes. They come off as a dark green upper and not solid black like regular authentics.

Not dark black, should be imo. Not the best slip resistant, but it works for me personally. Will buy again if necessary.

The shoes are comfy yes, and I use them for work since I'm a bartender the non slip is perfect but for some reason they look faded and almost like a green color. I'm pretty sure this isn't the color they were supposed to be.

I love vans and they are very comfortable but I ordered black on black on black and when I got them they are green . Not a big deal since they are for work but would have liked them to be black

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn at work. I have not used shoes other than vans in over 25 years (except for maybe running) and I love the fact there are vans made for my line of work. That said, they are most definitely NOT slip proof (especially compared to non-slip shoes/clogs for the kitchen). Yesterday I slipped and fell due to a very small patch of water on the kitchen floor, there was absolutely no grip from the shoe, and when I walk through slightly soiled surfaces I can feel the shoe slip undr my feet. I love the comfort these shoes provide but I dont really feel safe wearing them as unexpectedly they can fail at doing what is advertised. Please keep upgrading this product Vans, for the makers is a great option for us that work on our feet, but safety is a big concern. Perhaps partnering with a brand specialist in non*slip soles like Shoes for Crews or something? Thank you

I wear this for work. I'm on my feet 8 to 10 hours a day 6 days a week. It was comfortable for a month but I already wore down the supportive cushion inside.
Maybe I just work to much.

I'm a teacher and I've worn them in the classroom and found them to be super comfortable. I also worn them on long dog walks, and again, the performance is great! The color? While not a deep black to begin with, it is now a very light grey. The color has faded beyond what I would say is reasonable. So, "Yay!" for comfort. "Boo!" to the faded color.

I've been a bartender for years and got these for the summer season because I love the look and hoped the focus on support for working people would be enough. Granted, I am on my feet for 8-10 hours a shift in these but after only a week I can tell you they do not bear much extra support or comfort. Disappointed with them and the price point. I could have easily spent $50-60 on another pair of Vans and used inserts, as I now have to do with these. They're cute and light, tread is good and slip resistant but, they do not serve the purpose they claim to. Been a customer of Vans for years and that won't change but, would not recommend or buy these again.

I use these shoes for deliveries, the comfort feels great,
The anti slip- is alright, but I do not recommend it for restaurant environment since the anti slip is not that good.

I got these shoes the other day and they were a size 6 which is what I normally wear. I tried them on when I got the my excited to wear them for work but they were a whole size too big. I love vans but I would like a refund.

I bought these hoping for a decent pair of non-slip shoes. As the tag states they are slip resistant, they are not. And they also rub on my ankles in a weird way leaving blisters. My first day of work with them I slipped and fell, they don't do well with wet floors or fast food floors. Just be cautious of what you are buying. I feel like I wasted my money

I had bought the precious all leather version of these shoes and they were perfect and lasted a full year. I work 2 high volume industry jobs and barely have even 1 day off so these lasted incredibly long for me. However this new version is garbage. Less than 6 months they are already tearing along the side of the shoe. They are not black either. The canvas of the shoe is more of a dark dark green/grey color. So naturally it's sticks out like a sore thumb against the all black I wear to bartend.

I don't even work 30 hours a week and these have holes in them after 6 months. They were never waterproof but they definitely aren't now.

Looks green in certain lighting and blue in others. I wish it just looked black all of the time. Great grip, but makes a suction sound everywhere I go.

If you work in FOH, these might suffice, however, if you work in a kitchen, these are NOT non-slip. Fit great, look great, but the whole reason I spent nearly $100 is to not bust my rear walking down my line and that's exactly what is going to happen. Pretty sure my regular Converse are more non-slip. For this price it's an absolute disappointment; save your money and buy some Sketchers instead, they are cheaper, actually non-slip, and look almost identical.

Purchased these because I love vans and was very excited that they made a non slip shoe. But these are not made for the fast food industry. The very first mopped floor felt like a slip and slide. Honestly a very big let down. It definitely is a nice looking shoe but performance wise could be better.

Not true black, heel is already worn out and rubber is coming off canvas, holes in canvas, they bleach easy but that's my bad. Had to switch insoles too
