Material and bottom section is too stiff for growing children’s feet.

I wrote a review back in July, almost 3 months later..... lost an eyelet/loop on the left shoe (see photos)!! It seems Merrell-Kids' Moab aren't as well made as the adults pairs somehow, or this was one of those bad luck thing. I have many pairs of light hiking boots/mid-high boots.... never lost an eyelet/loop before. Hmm.... Guess I'll have to take these boots to a shoe repair and see what they can do about the missing eyelet/loop. Zappos was generous enough to give me full refund, and didn't want me to send them back either, suggested I threw them away.... hate to do that when the rest of the shoes are still quite new and in good condition. I better go and dig out the adult pair I bought then.....
