They helped me not fall off to my death! Really good traction. Wish there were more color options though.

Didn't have regular width in my size so I got the wide and glad I did because they might have Been snug other than that great product overall love my boots very comfortable

My 6 year old loves his new boots I have to rip them off his feet at the end of a hike. We broke these in for a proper forest hike in Charco el Moron in Cidra Puerto Rico! My son had so much traction and so did I. (I have the same model in an adult size)

Good boots-bought for a 10 year old girl to use primarily on backcountry hiking trails. Put about 50 miles on them so far and seem to hold up well. Fit fine (we bought online after measuring our daughter's feet according to the instructions on the Merrell website), but appear to run a little smaller than expected. Love that Merrell offers wide boots for kids.

I have had a pair of these for several years and just can't seem to wear them out. I wish I had bought the waterproof version but that was an oversight on my part.

I wear a size 8 in womens but purchased these boots in the boys 7 wide, I bought the gray and periwinkle. The sizing was perfect and sooo comfy. I'm extremely satisfied.

My son absolutely LOVEs these shoes! It is the beginning of fall now but he wants to wear them every day to go to school. His normal shoe size is 12, but I bought 13 so he can grow into it. He says it fits just fine and does not have a single complaint about them. Way to go Merrell!

Love these hiking boots! They keep my feet warm and are so comfortable even if on feet a long time. This is my second pair: my first pair were hand me downs and I knew then that these were the boots to buy.

Well, more like mommy's but our girls are impressed, as am I. These are serious hiking boots that can't be found in our usual go-to brick and mortar outdoor store. The true test though will be whether it survives our upcoming trip into the Grand Canyon. Our youngest daughter absolutely needs ankle support and I wish Merrell would produce full height hiking boots for scrawny young kids. Not sure what is meant by the product description: "An easy-on alternative closure...." All we have are the usual laces on these boots.

Great hiking boots, could be my perfect hiking boot with a few changes. My family of 3 have worn Merrell hiking boots and winter boots for years. The Moab 2 are lightweight, keep your feet dry and warm and give you great traction. The only reason for docking a star is the foot bed. With this last pair, I have noticed that my toes feel so smashed in the upper part of the boot, both in width and length. I've worn an 8.5 since I was 16 but I may have to size up for my next pair. I don't want my hiking boots to run large and feel floppy but these just feel uncomfortable after a a mile or two. I find myself thinking about taking them off which definitely ruins the purpose of my hike. I will possibly try a wide, but again, I don't want anything to big to cause tripping. Merrell are great boots, this doesn't make me want to switch brands, but I may have to switch styles to look for a better fit.

These shoes keep your feet warm and dry in the snow. Now, when it comes to actual water, keeping your feet dry doesn't last very long. So, durability is great! Waterproofing doesn't last long.

We love this hiking boot. It is waterproof and protects my son on long hikes! He used them right away and didn't require any break in period.

Was comfortable and offered good protection for my 8 year old son on short to medium-short hikes. Waterproofing is acceptable, and lacing system is holding up so far. Goid choice for the money.

I ordered this boot because I'm a woman who needs a wide width, and Merrell makes this boot in a small enough men's size for me. I tried many other brands, and they did not run small enough and wide enough (7.5W). I bought them for hiking and wanted a waterproof boot. So far have been pleased with Merrell's. The test will come when I use them for a long hiking trip later this month.

We always have a hard time finding hiking boots for my son. These fit him perfectly and are comfortable- they are perfect!

The sole is a bit too stiff for my daughter especially compared to the first pair of chameleon hikers she had from merrel last summer that she out grew and I can't find the style any more. The speed laces also seem cheap the have got snagged and bent three times already in less than a month i hope they don't break off from being bent back into shape
