I usually have issues with depth of a cap. This one is perfect! Very comfortable, light. It is good for chilly weather.

In keeping with the great products I have used by Arc'teryx over the years this wool hat hits the mark. The color is exactly as pictured, the fit excellent (I have a Big head and bought a large), and as I hoped it really warms the head. Love this product.

Runs big. Real big. Whoever buys a L-XL will need to have an enormous head.

Finally, a hat that fits my giant melon. This hat fits like an XXL and thanks to preceding reviews stating that I purchased it. Sure enough, it fits perfectly.

The fit is amazing! I bought a L/XL because I'm normally a 7 5/8 fitted kind of guy. Lightweight wool and the depth of the hat isn't shallow at all! Perfect for a chilly morning hike or Trail run! A+

Bought 2 of these hats. They fit great for me. Many hats are too shallow for my liking, this one isn't. The wool breathes great & I enjoyed ski touring in it. The wool construction along with a treatment of hat saver sweat & water repellent spray kept any sweat stains from forming despite it being wet to the touch after 3000 vertical of touring

With all of the trucker hats in the market right now I was happy to find this fitted hat. It's lite weight comfortable and fits well. There is enough stretch in the hat, that I can wear it when I have shorter hair or longer hair.

Purchased this hat in black 2 months ago, love the look and feel of the wool which isn't itchy on your head. This is one of the best fitting hat's I've owned. Wanted to purchase a second one in Heather grey but it's sold out so I'll be waiting for new stock!

I was looking for a between season hat to wear for walking and hiking. Something a bit less than a wool pull on hat but more than a cap. This is perfect. Some people complained that the small/medium size was too large, but I like that it goes over the top of my ears and keeps them warm. A great fall/spring hat as far as I'm concerned

The look and sizing are great. I wear a size 7 5/8 in fitted hats and the L/XL works for me. Not tight as some flex fit hats can be. The Dracaena Heather color is awesome. Not having seen the 100% wool version of this hat, I think this wool blend version is good. Light weight but it seems to be durable. Very happy with my purchase!

I'm a complete Flexfit fan, I hate those sweaty trucks and snapbacks so finding this cap was a welcome relief after a long time of looking in a market of dwindling opportunities for full caps.
I previously had a equally reputable prehistoric mammal branded mountain company cap that had an amazing fit, an awesome cap and it disintegrated after faultless years of use.
Its taken 4 years to replace that cap. I'm not exaggerating either, worn a few fill ins but I've been keeping an eye out for that whole time and finally found this ideal cap to take its place. Most other companies have altogether abandoned making Flexfit caps in preference for the generic snapbacks. So grateful to Arcteryx for keeping the good stuff coming.
The material is lush and smooth, just as the ingredients say, its not just 29% wool but also 19% silk, then the standard poly and acrylics etc.
Its fits like a glove, especially after steaming the brim, freezing it into shape and operating a little on its internal plastic 'bones' in the front 2 panels. I do this to remove the lateral stiffness so the sides can form better on the head, always makes a better fit and less rigid on my forehead.
As for sizing this is classic American overkill, in a nice way. So I'm a 59-60cm head, I reliably know this as I am a professional horse rider and skiier, head size is important. I would under this sizing suggestion fall perfectly under the L-XL, however it was excessively large and didn't even grip the side of my head. Brother and I assumed it was more for the XXL-XXXL sizing. Other reviews seem to confirm this too.
I returned it with their awesome UPS return service and got a S/M, which fits pretty perfectly.
Attached are pics and a clip of the minor operation and fit.
Hope this helps all of you fellow perfectionist hat pursuers ;-)

I love this hat. I received it as a gift and I love it so, so much. I have the regular bird cap and it just missed the mark for me. The elastic band on the regular version was abrasive; however, this entire hat is soft and pleasant when it touches the skin. Warm, soft, and comfy. I love it. Looks sharp too. If I had to keep one piece of Arc'teryx gear it would be this (hands-down) closely followed by my Fortrez hoody. I haven't used it in hot weather yet so I'm not sure if it will be surprisingly cool or if it will cook me. I guess we'll see.
