I haven't bought myself a new winter coat in 5 years. The last north face coat I bought was great so I was nervous to buy a different type. I need something warm but lightweight for winter. If you are doubting buying this coat, DON'T. It is a perfect coat and I am more than pleased. It fits true to size.

This was the first time I purchased this coat for myself. I can't believe I waited so long. My daughter loves the ones I bought for her but I never felt I was worth the coat. That is no longer true. I just love how it makes me feel and how warm and comfortable it is. I feel special!! I can't say enough good things about this coat, except this won't be the last time I purchase one. I love it!!

I had the Metropolis Parka I and LOVED it. I accidentally got too close to a fire and had to buy a new one (Metropolis Parka III). It keeps me super warm while being super light. I have the Arctic Parka I also. The Metropolis Parka is great because it is comfortable and easy to move in. I am 5'8 130 and wear a size Small. This is great for cold weather. The coat is a lot longer in the back which I love because I can walk without being restricted and it cover down to about the back of my knees. Highly recommend this coat. If you need something waterproof I would suggest the Arctic Parka I/II. Love The North Face coats.

I purchased this coat in grey over 10 yrs ago, still going strong; keeps me warm and dry and it's so light weight. Decided to order one in black, looking forward to wearing it through the cold winter ahead.

I live in Connecticut and I'm from Michigan so the winters can get pretty rough. I bought this because of its length and warmth and it's really great! I'm mostly surprised by how light weight it is while also being warm.

This is a fashionable coat with a great fit.

I was looking for a jacket to replace my very well- worn Transit coat, but was hoping to find something a little longer for cold days. This jacket is perfect! Lightweight and warm, but long enough to provide more coverage. The front comes a little above my knees and the back drops down (will cover high boots). Haven't had a chance to test it out on super cold days yet, but I'm sure it will deliver. Got the off- white and couldn't be happier. Not too boxy; but room for a heavy sweater.

I haven't had a chance to wear this out yet since it's not quite winter in Philadelphia but I can already tell it's going to do the trick for those cold windy days!

Medium gray color is not too light gray. Medium size is true to size and not too tight.

I love the warmth of this coat and the way it fits! I love the length. My boots are tall so the coat comes just above my boots.

I used the online customer chat on The North Face website to decide on this jacket and confirm the sizing. It arrived in the mail quickly and fit just as described! I'm 5'7" 145 and a medium fit loose enough for layers to snuggle perfectly underneath!

Love this coat and live in it. It’s my second Metropolis and rind a little smaller but it’s more flattering fit. Would give 5 stars but side pocket zipper broke a month in.

Liked the fit, ordered small and had plenty of room in arm area if wearing a sweater as comparison to the NF Gotham parka also in small which I had to return as it felt a little restrictive. I'm 5'2" 137# and have small to average shoulders, wear 34D. Unfortunately, will probably return this jacket as I am not crazy about that much length in the back, also the Hawthorne Kaki but it was too yellow looking on me, appeared more of a gold color and cool colors flatter me more. But this jacket was very lightweight for the warmth I feel you would get with it.

I love the jacket I just wish they made it for petites. I'm only 5'0 and it looks long on me.

I love the fit on my body. I’m 5’4, 162Ibs. The only complaint I have is that the arms are not very long compared to my other North Face jackets. Kind of a bummer when reaching for things and moving my arms.
