I was looking for a sneaker with good support and good traction for work. But I didn't want bright colors, so when I saw NB sneakers in dark brown, and light weight, I immediately ordered them. They totally fit the bill and are true to size. Great room to wiggle your toes too.

I bought these shoes specifically for a planned 3 week trip to Ireland. I needed a shoe that would tolerate long hikes and climbs, often in muddy and rainy weather. These held up beautifully! I was wet and muddy to my knees several times and afterwards my shoes dried quickly and were ready for use again the next morning. The tread gave me solid footing on wet and often slick surfaces. I was expecting a lot from these shoes and they performed!

I just received these and they fit great. I ordered a half size larger because of the reviews, and because I will be wearing thicker socks. I think that the arch support is just right, not too high.I am looking forward to taking them out for a spin this weekend! thanks New Balance for providing a size chart that actually is spot on.

I opted for this shoe to replace the unfortunately discontinued New Balance gortex hiking shoe that was unparalleled. This shoe is comfy and good looking. I have a narrow foot so it feels a bit too roomy, nothing that thicker socks can't fix. I would not call it a hiking shoe although it has a sturdy sole. Walking shoe, yes.

I use them for easy trail walking. The round laces need to be double tied to stay fastened.

Walked 5 miles in a rugged trail, I had no pain or blisters, didn't have to break them in! That is a big plus for me. The toes are roomy & the heel has support to prevent slipping out. Size 6 is true to average size. Wish they offer more colors. Overall, I am very happy with them!

I bought these to walk the trails around my house. I like the darker color because of the red clay soil that I walk through at times. My only comment is that if you like to wear heavier socks when walking trails do yourself a favor and get a half size larger. My toes had little wiggle room and were a bit uncomfortable.

I have been wearing the NB walking shoes for years, most recently my favorite have been the 779s in 8 1/2 2e. I have had 3 or 4 pairs of these in the past 4 yrs or so and they have taken me all over the world in comfort with no return of my plantar fascitis! Unfortunately, I have been unable to find these in recent months, whether covid related, I don't know but I have been searching high and low and trying every other shoe trying to get a comparable fit at a comparable cost. Well this is the closest so far. Very comfortable, comes in wider width, however, just doesn't quite have enough arch support for me and my super high arches. If it weren't for that, they would be a keeper. So the search goes on and the costs go higher!

These are great hiking shoes. Comfortable from the start. Wider styles are hard to come by, so this was a great find. I just wish it was available in other colors. I do not like the dark brown, but comfort is key so that's what I went with.

Liked the shoe but ordered a 10 when I normally wear a 9 & it was too short.

After reading the reviews I ordered the shoes 1/2 size bigger and a wide. When I tried them on they were way to big , my foot slipped inside . Now I want to order a down size and they don't have it. It's really frustrating trying to order here when they never have your size .

I think these shoes will be great for the walking I do. I'm glad I ordered half a size larger than I usually take after reading other reviews; they do run small. But they are comfortable and just what I needed.

I ordered these since I walk trails a lot. However, they were a little too small. They were very cute and I may order again and go 1/2 size up. Instead I ordered the Fresh Foam 860v11.

I luv this hiking shoe. It gives great support and is stylish. However, I've ALWAYS ordered "Wide", the "Wide" in this shoe is small compared to other shoes I've purchased. I wish I had purchased the Extra Wide, but when I went back to the website, they were out. Hoping they get more in stock. For now, I'll try some stretching techniques and hope they work.

I love my New Balance. These fit well. I ordered a pair of navy blue ones a while back and they did not fit right. I even exchanged them for a half size larger, but they were still not comfortable. I'd never had a new balance shoe not fit. I finally just gave them away. But, this recent pair is good, and I like the brown color.
