I've been an avid buyer being that I have wide feet. In my last purchases, some being 410, 412, 481 and my favorite 990 ,all had your brand visibly shown, where on the 669 model its discreetly displayed which I like. It gives the footwear an an upscale look, something more than an athletic workout image.

I hike 35 miles per week on mountain trails. I wear 14 xw. These shoes are very comfortable but are half size small in fit. 14.5 would have been better. The insole lining is also very slick. Foot slides forward going down hills. Good for walking, not running. Lastly, heel tread is boxy, not contoured well for a running stride. New balance has better trail runners

I really like the 4E or Wide shoes for my feet. I do NOT like the Horizontal pull-on loop on back and will cut them OFF. It is a catch and trip hazard when hiking in woody area. The vertical pull-on loop on other models is great.

As mentioned before, the fabric on the inner top heel tears quickly. However, I have brought them to local shoe repair where a real leather patch was sewn into place and now they are unbeatable. They are light, adapts to my foot very well and releases vapor very well. Definitely worth the price.
NB! The search is not working properly I choose size and with, it seems the shoes were filtered but when you get in the item the filtered shoe is not available. As this one 10,5 in 4E.

When I ordered these 16 months ago they were my third pair of New Balance 669's, and intended to go on the shelf until my second pair was getting worn out. Yesterday I went to start wearing them, only to notice for the first time those silly enormous loops on the back. I'm a dorky guy, but that goes far beyond what I am willing to tolerate. My other pairs of 669's were MW669CB and MW669BR. Neither had any sort of strap. This pair is MW669LC2. The pictures show the strap, so I guess it is my fault for not looking closer that these 669's were not so very different from my two earlier pair (though I wonder if the pictures showed the strap at that time). Anyway it is far to late to return them, so I guess I have to see how carefully I can cut off those straps.

Very little arch support. I need a wide toe box but normal heel width. The whole shoe from front to back is wide so too loose in the heel for me.

I like the NB walking shoes because they are very comfortable. My only issue is the nylon top starts to tear in about 6 months after daily wear.

these seem quite a bit smaller than other shoes in this size..I could not “fit” my orthotics into the footbed.

I wear New Balance shoes all the time but this is my first experience with the hiking variety. They are light weight and fairly comfortable. I've been walking in side as I am not sure yet if I will keep them. I do wear an arch-support that isn't as well-positioned in them as I would like. I'm still working on that. One downside is that this particular pair is not waterproof. I haven't decided yet if that matters. Thanks

I am a female with wide feet so I buy men's shoes. I currently love my new balance work shoe, so thought I try a different NB shoe for walking. Well, I hope they stretch because they are snug.

right shoe was shorter than left, causing right toe to bump against toe of shoe.

I used to get 4D width in my New Balance shoes over the years and they fit much better due to the greater width. These are more like 2D.

Skip these and get the 608's. I wear these at the office because if I wear business dress shoes my plantar's fascitis flairs. These fit weird, they felt a little tight at the tip of the toes but wider than normal across the wide part at the base of your toes. My feet would pop out of these and I really couldn't stand long in them without my heels bothering me. They are also quite heavy. I have underpronation and when I walk in these shoes they would cause cramps in my feet an id have to "roll" on the outer edge of my foot to make it go away, similar to cracking your knuckles or elbow.

Ordered extra wide. Said it was extra wide on box. Tag on shoe said wide, but shoe bottom not wide. Very tight. Looked really nice wish they fit
No problem returning

they look ok but the comfort / arch feel and comfort is sub-par. Been wearing NB for over 30+ years - not like the good old days.

Obviously New Balance puts profits before quality. Absolutely worthless as a walking shoe unless you count going to get the mail.

I was hopeful that the WW size would work for my very wide (not fat) feet. Didn't work, but wow they would have been comfy. I have to return them.
I'd also recommend:
Propet - the only brand I can find where wide width really means wide, not fat.

I Was skeptical after first 30 mn walk at slower pace. Felt more like boots. Logged only 5 1/2 miles walking and 2 separate 25 minute weight workouts .
They tightened my calves . Not good with torn Achilles history from 15 years ago.
Decided to try these due to Brooks inventory issues .
I’m definitely returning to Brooks now the inventory
looks better in 4E.
Seriously, if you have wide feet, history of orthopedic issues with feet such as fracture or damage to adjoining tissues, avoid lower cost NBs.

The sole of this shoe, MW669LK2 is too thin didn't provide support even with good orthotics. Previously used New Balance running shoes for over 30 years, thicker in needed areas.
I'd also recommend:
Mostly American made.
