Fit is great. I am still breaking them in so I will see afterwards how comfortable they are after a long hike.

I always put new insoles, not these. Wearing them straight from the box. Now if they had all blue, I'd get another pair.

Great fitting, looking and functional. Used for every day wear as well as hiking.

I use these shoes for walking. They fit well and are comfortable. I am delighted with my purchase.

The appearance of the shoe suggested good quality to me. I wear a 10.5 4E shoe. I currently wear the 990 v5 in this size. However, I wanted a brown shoe and made an online purchase of the 669 v2. I found the 669 v2 to feel a bit narrower than the 990. The outside measurement of the 990 v5 sole is slightly wider than the 669 v2, which may add to the overall comfort of the 990. Before returning the shoes, I checked with our factory store to see if they had the 993, assuming that staying in the 990 line I might find the same comfort. I called the factory store and they said they had those shoes, in my size. About a week later I drove the 60 miles to the store to find that the 990's and the 993's were taken off the shelf for some reason and were not available. So at this moment, I wear an old pair of 990's that need replacing and my go to store doesn't have the shoe line or sizes I need. I also haven't been able to find my size and color of the 669 v2 online.

Not as beefy as the leather shoes I was replace in, which seem to have disappeared. The tread is stickier on rock.

I wish they still made these in a variety of colors. I would buy 2 pair now. They are among the most comfortable shoes I have worn. I have 4E width feet and these are wonderful. I just got the X-Wide....I don't believe they are actually wide enough, but have broken in over the past year or so. I hope they begin making them again. I cannot find a pair that fits like these. New Balance has gone downhill since I have been wearing them (15-20 years) I was once able to count on the fit being great. Now I have to try them on and walk around for a few minutes to find a pair that fits close enough. All that said, these are great. Too bad everyone's feet are differently shaped I guess. They might be a nightmare for you, but if you are size 12 4E they should do the trick. For the past year or more they have apparently stopped making them in different colors. Now only brown and I don't want that color or the material I'm pretty sure they are made with. Other colors are made with different material. New Balance is going to loose business from me in the future. Get your stuff together NB! You once made excellent 4E shoes.

I used the fitting guide to measure the sole of the AFO. The shoe fits well, I just wish that NB had the option of a zip-around (like a "Tommy" shoe) so that the AFO could more easily go into the shoe.

Really nice sneaker for all around wearing quarring runs a little bit narrow.

Nice construction and features of these shoes. They are EE width, but they do seem to run small vs my 990's. Otherwise, solid shoe.

Shoelaces are too short and come undone easily. I replaced them with longer laces that are built so they stay tied

Perfect fit and comfortable. However, there needs to be one improvement. The shoe laces always come untied while walking. The laces are round and material is too smooth.

These are everyday wear and also good walking shoes which I walk daily. I do not like sport laces as I am unable to keep them tied. I put some regular laces in and those work well. The fabric part of the shoe over the toes is a bit prone to wear. I reinforced those points with a patch of soft leather on the inside of the toe. These are, perhaps, the only ones produced in a brown color. I will buy them again but wish there were more choices in brown.

The shoe I received was much narrower than expected. I returned for a refund, and I am pleased with the results of the return and refund.

The laces were too short and I had to buy new ones; however bigger laces were not available on New Balance website.

Seem to be stiffer than my last pair but as always, well constructed.
