Have you ever thought to yourself, how can I take a light hiking shoe with Vibrum soles and dozens of lines and grooves and then make sure you can slip and fall while walking on a stone patio? Don't answer because Dansko already figured that out. Have you ever wondered how you can make a shoe so stiff that it cuts into your foot when you wear it for 2 hours on hardwood floors? Don't, Dansko already figured that out for you. Have you thought, hm, how can I make a shoe that puts extra pressure on your toes the way high heels do, no need to wonder, Dansko figured that out for you as well. I'm a professional landscaper, I've worn light hiking/walking shoes to work for 20 years, it works for me. I walk on uneven terrain, on soil, root, rocks, but also concrete and stone. Keen, Timberland, Ariat, Ahnu, Columbia, Merryl. I worse these cursed Danskos for 2 hours a day in the house for a 3 day period (painful but I figured I was breaking them in) and then wore them for work for 2 days. I fell down more than once, I haven't fallen down from simply walking in my entire career. I slipped several times, who makes a walking/hiking shoe that makes you slip? Both of my knees and my lower back hurt from these. I feel like Dansko said hey let's make the worst shoe possible then just coast on the hype we've created about our brand being good for people who are on their feet all day. They aren't and their clogs suck too. I'm 50 years old and I've never regretted a purchase this much in my life.

I ordered these because I have always worn Dansko clogs to work as a nurse. I am 60 years old and as I get older, I have struggled with plantar fasciitis, especially putting on different shoes. During the summer months I do alot of walking and hiking, so this summer when I put my Keen hiking shoes on (that I have had for years), my feet immediately began to hurt. I decided to see if Dansko had any sneakers and they did to my surprise. So, I ordered these and started wearing them to prepare for my trip to Switzerland in July. At first they felt very stiff and I was concerned about a rub at the top of my ankle due to the rigidity. But within a couple days, they became more supple and I absolutely love them. I have worn them every day outdoors while doing yard work and gardening all day, and I have not had any more foot problems. I will take them with me to Switzerland and rely on them for hiking.

Very cute! Makes your feet look smaller than they are. Moderate arch support, but I could slip my orthotics in with no problem. Definitely a firm shoe, though, so if you are seeking athletic-shoe comfort, this is not for you. Unfortunately, the unpadded stiff tongue and the actual shape of it cut into the top of my foot with every step. Loosening up the ties didn’t help, and I was wearing socks, so this shoe needed to be returned.

It's hard for me to evaluate the shoe alone, because I wear custom orthotics, but this shoe has been a dream. The stabilizing sole is perfect, and despite not being a wide width, which I generally need, the orthotics work great. I would love to find a more business-appropriate dansko shoe with this footbed - it's a dream!

These shoes were cute, cushy, and had good arch support but unfortunately did not work for me. I have a narrow, slender foot and the tongue of the shoe dig into the top of my foot with every step. There was no way to adjust this either- was just how the tongue is sewn onto the shoe. Had to return. They are a bit heavy and clunky as well- definitely had a stiff, semi rocker sole like most Dansko shoes.

I really liked this shoe, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for - and for the price, I can't rationalize keeping them. The materials and workmanship were great; I'm not sure the arch support is as aggressive as in the Paisley but it's certainly adequate. I wear an 8 Med shoe and the 39 is the appropriate size. The heel fit wider than the Paisley but the mesh material meant that the shoe felt less stiff. The toe width is great if your toes don't want to be squeezed. I dinged the review for comfort by one star since the heel is a bit too wide in my opinion. I have one foot shorter than the other and hate to feel my socks get sucked into my shoes. Overall I'd recommend these for at least a try since they seemed well made.

Great fit. Incredibly comfortable. Tons of support. Nice heel pad. I have been trying to find a shoe like this for ages. I have multiple foot problems. Never thought of Dansko! I bought this for winter walking--I live in a very cold climate. Kudos to Dansko for a great shoe.

Fit and size were excellent. I’m hard to please and love these shoes. I have problems with my feet. These shoes provide both stability and comfort. My orthotics fit on top of the cushioned insert. Laces accommodate my high instep. Highly recommend!

Waterproof sneakers are hard to find for a good price. These are so comfy. I can’t wait to try them on my summer walks. These are way more comfy than my Keens.

I love the Dansko paisley shoe and as they wore out I like the idea of the d-rings for easier quick on and off lacing. I like the Peggy, love the stone almost blue/green/grey color and they fit wel (much like the paisleyl. Only thing I don't like about them are the d-rings. The d-rings are not snugly set into the leather and twist as I tie the laces, especially at the top where the bow ties. It makes the lacing hard to control, as some d-rings tuen with the movement of the foot. The shoes are still great, but I bought them for the ease of lacing and because they slip and turn they dont perform as I'd hoped. I'll go back to the paisley next time I replace these.

This shoes are quite stiff and uncomfortable. Presumably, they'd soften up, but I can't risk it. In addition, for me, the seam in front rubbed. I ordered two colors of Peggy and one Paisley. I returned both Peggys, and kept the Paisley…my 3rd pair of Paisley in as many years…dependably comfortable.

I bought these elsewhere and returned them before ordering the Dansko Paisley from Zappos. I like this style of Danscko shoe for travel, but these fit differently and had to be returned. The boot of the shoe comes up very high (unlike, e.g., Paisley, Chantal, etc.) and is very stiff causing the top of the shoes, near the laces, to stick into your leg and rub.

I should have paid attention to the reviewers who said the tongue was too stiff and digs into your ankle. That's exactly the problem with these shoes.I love the material, the vibram soles, the waterproof uppers, the look. But that tongue was really uncomfortable! Sorry to send them back.

I really should have listened to other reviewers. I'm either a 37 or 38 in Dansko, depending on the style, so I bought both sizes. My foot measures out at a "C" width, so I can usually wear Medium-width Danskos, but in this style, the 37 was a tad narrow, so much so that I couldn't imagine being on my feet all day in them. The 38 felt much better in the width, but the tongue of the shoe was too long and too rigid, and really irritated the front of my ankle. I wore them around the house for an hour and could not wait to take them off! My feet were relieved. :( These shoes come up higher on the foot/around the ankle than other makes (i.e. Keen), so any extra material can have a big impact! I loved the style and look (kinda between a hiking shoe and an athletic shoe), and wanted sooo badly for these to work, but I had to send them back.

I have a p-t job where I stand for long periods of time... I wore these for the 1st time yesterday and I am pleased to report I was not 'complaining' my feet or legs hurt after 4 straight hours of standing... and even 3 1/2 hours later, my feet felt good. Previously, I was wearing a Drew clog -like shoe. They were comfortable, but made my feet look huge (I take a 42.) The Peggy Dansko looked good and were worth the $. I will admit that after 7 hours, I felt a little irritation where I tied the laces.... but I believe it'll be better each time I wear them. (Another reviewer made the same comment.)

Not the "cutest" shoe but definitely the most comfortable!

I can't say enough good things about these shoes. Maybe this is enough: they're the only shoes I've worn that leave me pain-free after a long day on my feet! The Dansko Paisley is a close second for me, but the Peggy is even better and better looking as well.

Sadly, as others noted, the stiff tongue was way too uncomfortable against the top of my foot/ankle. Returning them. ?

These shoes hurt me up around my ankle rubbed up against my skin very uncomfortable

Both shoes rub top of feet right above little toe. I have tried wearing them several times thinking they need breaking in. Last try they made a very sore spot on my foot. They just are not comfortable on my feet. Love the shoes and wish they were comfortable but for me they are not

I own two pair of these, and they are terrific! I am on my feet at work for over 9 hours a day, and they have been comfortable every time wear them. One thing that really bothers me is the durability of the toes. All other aspects of this shoe is fantastic, but I have found that I need to buy new shoes. I simply can not wear either of them any more because it looks quite unprofessional to wear shoes in this condition. Dansko, please change the toes of these shoes. I love them, but can't wear them any more. I have owned these for over a year, and they have held up entirely well other than the toes.

This is probably my 5th pair of Dansko shoes. I haven't been disappointed yet! Great fit and comfort. Great for all day wear, especially weekends for me with lots of errands to run.

Fit and size good. Room for orthodox. Stiff but I’m hopeful they will soften

Fit was good with a good bit of room in toe box. Unfortunately, I had to send them back because they looked too masculine. I wanted one pair waterproof shoes to take on a short trip and they just would not work with my wardrobe.
