Sizing: 6'1", 170 lbs, size M fit perfectly, no extra room on sleeve length. If taller or broader, get a L. Warmth: I lived in Boston, then DC, now LA, and took a trip to Alaska. I haven't lived in Boston for eight years, so my last real winter coat was a little ragged. I bought this parka specifically for Alaska and it performed adequately. It is not the warmest, puffiest coat of all time, but for the price, it was great. It is 650 down, so "technically" very warm, and when properly layered helped me survive standing around in -10*F weather waiting for the Northern lights. To be clear, I layered a thermal undershirt, T shirt, sweater, sweatshirt, and finally this parka. It's a great wind-resistant outer layer for super-cold weather, and a solid easy outer layer for mid-range temps. Style: The fur on the hood is not a thin ring, but rather protrudes away from your face a bit. At least it's detachable.

I bought this for my fianc who has only lived in hot climates for his entire life. We went to an outdoor soccer game up in the cold north and this was a lifesaver! Great length for him (he's almost 6'1) and oh so warm. He wore a long-sleeve sweater under too and it fit like a glove.

This parka is comfortable and the tan color looks as advertised. Haven't worn it in challenging weather outside yet, only indoors when the heat is off. Had to tailor the cuffs down a couple inches, but was expected, of Columbia sizing. Also helped to pin down the far edges of hoodie lining, kept slipping.

Purchased this for my early morning trail hikes in my area of North Texas. It may surprise many to hear that temperatures do regularly drop below freezing in the winter in many parts of TX, but I digress. I can now go for my morning hikes in the cold, and windy conditions we get often. A bonus that this is waterproof. Went hiking in 20F this morning, and I was toasty in this jacket. We're expecting 12F tomorrow, and I'll layer up, and head out with confidence in this jacket. As for fit, this jacket runs large. Usually, I wear size L, but I ordered size M for this jacket, and it fits perfectly, leaving plenty of room for layering. I'm 5'11, athletic build, 197lbs.

We live in the DC Metro area, where we get some really cold days in January/February (teens and twenties as the highs), which is why I bought this coat; it's replacing my ski jacket from years past which has seen better days (different manufacturer). Anyway, this coat is so warm, I can literally just wear a t-shirt underneath when it's in the 20s and be comfortable. I can only imagine how warm it would be if I were wearing actual layers. My only issue is that the zipper is a little challenging to get started, but otherwise, it's a great coat.

Bought this coat for commuting back and forth to work on the train and bus in cold Chicago winters. It is great. Keeps we warm and dry. Have not had any zipper issues.

Great coat! However, comparing it to my last Columbia coat, I'm slightly disappointed that it's not as heavy. BUT the coat is very well made and still warm and worth purchasing...

I am very pleased overall with this parka. The fit is very good and it is very warm. This parka has an excellent number and placement of pockets which was something I was looking for. I like the feature that all pocket either snap shut or zip.The color is a little greener than it appears in the picture making it a true olive green, another something I was looking for. The only negative I have found with the parka is the front zipper. It would be a great improvement to have a heavy duty larger zipper, This one is difficult to start when the fit is fairly snug due to size of zipper and difficulty seeing the end of it. Mine flew open from the bottom once when I sat down in it, I intend to get a larger, heavy duty zipper installed on mine and that will make it a truly awesome parka.

This coat is stylish, warm, and very functional. The pockets and cuffs are well thought out and made from high-quality materials. While I have only used this coat for a few months, I fully expect to be able to use it for years to come.

I purchased this coat for my husband. We live in Minnesota and the winters can be brutal at times! He said it is warm and the nicest coat he has ever owned.

Although the jacket is great, the shipping had a lot to be desired. I ordered it on the 15th and was told I would have it by the 24th. It arrived on the 28th. A little late for our trip up North. Very disappointing!!

The jacket does the work at a reasonable price, keeping us warm at pretty low temperatures and windy days. It also is comfortable and has enough place to keep things which are used for daily carry. the cap is quite good and it adjusts with the jacket being worn. overall a good product.

Overall extremely happy with this coat. Very warm, looks and fits great. The little details go a long way and show the attention to detail shown on this coat. Pockets are very soft, leather tabs add an elevated element of style, and the fabric feels like it will stand up in the long run.

I looked at Patagonia, North Face and Canada Goose - all similar in quality but Columbia was the best for the price
