Very warm, resistant to winds, and good quality materials. The parka is on the heavier side and the zipper can be a bit tricky at first but overall it's a great jacket.

This jacket is very warm and appropriate for cold weather. It looks and feels nice as well. It is not too heavy given its volume.

I live in Chicago and it is great for the wintertime. Keeps me warm and still stylish. I am 5'8" 170lbs and a medium fits me perfectly.

Good parka. The buttons on the faux fur need to be larger, or the stitching around the holes needs to be improved. Overall, the parka was well made and warm I have been using it above the Arctic circle, keeping me warm with some good layers underneath.

I bought for my husband. I ordered an xl , the size he usually wears. It is a bit big but not enough to return it. It won't be worn until this Fall so can't speak to warmth. It appears to be well made. I bought it as outer wear big enough to layer under it. I believe it will be what we were looking for.

Great coat with one small problem. The buttons for the hood were too small for the button hole. I needed to replace them in order for the hood to stay attached.

I bought this parka in the early Fall before it gets cold daily here in Oregon. I LOVE IT. Oregon gets TONS of rain and a little snow on average. Last week we had the mother of all winter storms, an ice storm. This parka kept me nice and warm in temperatures down into the teens. It also kept me dry, which is very important. The only thing I don't like about it is the faux fur. Which you can take off and I do. It gets too drippy wet in heavy rain and with it off the hood doesn't come as far down on my forehead as I would like. I think Columbia should ditch the faux fur all together. But aside from that it is virtually the perfect Winter weather parka for staying warm and dry.

If you’re an outdoor adventurer this coat may be PERFECT, but it didn’t suit my husband’s needs which is why I’ve given it less than 5 stars. I can see where other buyers could rate it higher though. He found the coat actually weighed quite a bit more than he expected, being an elderly gentleman, and the exterior was a stiffer fabric than he anticipated. He also had trouble managing the many studs and flaps and zippers, though other buyers may not. He didn’t like the feel of plastic-like interior lining. Having said all that the coat seems to be well made and looked nice. My husband is 5’7”, weighs 142 pounds, and ordered the small which was a good fit.

I live in North Dakota and have had the opportunity to wear this parka in -20 weather and also in -15 with 35 mph winds weather. It performed quite nicely. I like the outer fabric. It is soft even when cold. It doesn't get stiff. What I don't like about the parka: It needs a two way zipper, It needs a waist cinch that pulls in from the outer layer (that way if you wear bib overall snow pants you can adjust), it needs larger sleeves and cuffs, and it needs to have the reflective lining on the sides too. Only the main body, front and rear, have it. Columbia makes two other heavy parkas. Maybe they have these features. I would definitely buy this again. I love it.

I bought this coat for my son after much looking. He loves it. The style, the fit and mostly the warmth. The only flaw is the left pocket zipper. After putting his wallet and keys inside the pocket he zipped it closed...and could not open it. We had to take it to the store and they cut them out! We ordered another coat. Same problem. We were able to get it open and he loves the coat so much he kept it. He just had to remember not to zip the left pocket all the way.

It's nice jacket that meets the most expectation except for the main zipper is too small and the hood could be attached with zipper instead of little buttons which could prevent air getting in from the open seams. Besides these two minor issues the jack is very functional, warm and fashionable.

This jacket is extremely warm, on par with some of best in the business. Two complains air get in the cuff and no double zipper. Almost perfect!

This coat is great. I usually wear large clothing and ordered an XL coat. Happy I ordered XL because I can wear layers under it. Very warm coat and it is a good length. The bottom zipper is kind of a pain. I've worn the coat twice and both times I've struggled to zip the main zipper because it is low and small. Other than the zipper, it is a great product. Looking forward to having it for Chicago winter.

I had read reviews about the bad zipper but I bought it on sale so no problem there. But really the zipper must be larger and higher quality for a parka that is long. It comes out easily. It seems suitable for the winter conditions at the moment if you are careful with the zipper.

I brought the product based on the website suggests. However, it seems a bit big for me. Overall it is good.

High-quality construction and great style. Fits nicely and has a great length. Adequately warm on a 30-degree day.

The coat is very nice and seems to be very warm. It looks good and it arrived fast. The issue is with the zipper. It is so hard to latch the zipper and pull it up because of the bulk of the coat. It's not going to work out and we're searching for a shorter coat.

I loved the look of this coat and it's warm when it has a functioning zipper. For such an expensive coat, the zipper is very poor quality. I have light jackets from inexpensive stores that have heavier gauge zippers. The last parka I owned lasted for for 20 years, and even when the coat was worn, the zipper still functioned. A coat should last at least 4 months! This was my first purchase and I am Very Disappointed!

Bought TWO of this for my son because is a nice looking jacket and BOTH had defective zippers. DO not buy because then even if under warranty or able to return you need to waist time and money (because the return is on the customer) to sent the item back to Columbia!!

Hi! If you want to compete with the big boys get better zippers. I had to pull this jacket over my head Because the zipper was stuck. You can do great stuff. The jacket is fine but the zipper stinks. Even if you raise your price because you're spending more on zippers is okay and so much better than getting a bad zipper. So I'm gong to trade this one in for a different style. People will say they hate the jacket because of a bad zipper. Richard
