I'm a skier and love how lightweight these base layers are, but warm! So very comfortable and the color choices are great. Absolutely recommend!

My climate is moderate mostly but I was going north for some eagle watching in February. When I saw my first nest, I could not stay out of the car long because of the biting wind off the water. After checking into my cabin and adding my Thermal Merino Base Layer Bottom that fit true to size, I was able to stand the windy cold as long as I wanted. I was toasty warm and very comfortable. They have washed well and held up.

I have been buying my husband and sons Smartwool socks for years and they rave about them. I recently purchased the base layers for myself and instantly realized why they love Smartwool socks so much. The comfort is incomparable to other fabrics. I'm sold. Love these base layers. I'm a new fan.

These are great! My second pair, very cozy and soft, and when I put them on, I usually end up wearing them for several days, including as pajamas, because I don't want to take them off!

Great base layer for freezing cold temperatures in the city. Would have liked the waist to sit 1" or 2" higher to cover my lower back too. Feels nice on the skin, not itchy or scratchy.

I had never worn Merino wool base layers before, and they are amazing! I feel neither hot nor cold, and they are incredibly comfortable. The sizing is exactly as described, and I couldn't be happier.

Great weight for resort skiing with non-insulated pants and the wool feels great against skin. I'd love a 100% wool version with a lighter weight for more active use (ski touring)

I used the matching top and bottom to go snow hiking in Korea- I only needed this one layer under pants and a jacket and was warm even in heavy wind!

These are so comfortable. I had never had a wool base layer before, and I was worried about it being itchy. It isn't and it's super comfortable because it's tight to my skin without additional compression.

I have the 150 base layer and now the 250. Both are greatthe 150 I wear under jeans in anything from 30 to 50 degree weather, and these 250 I can wear alone around my house or also under pants for when it is extra cold! I've had my other pair for years, I just try to use moth protectant once or twice on these items each year to protect them.

I've purchased this to use while on long hitches doing data collection in the backcountry! The material is great because I go 8 days without showering. They keep me warm and don't smell terrible.

Smartwool leggings haven't always fit me well in the past, but these are LOVELY. Comfortable, not itchy, flattering, and of course riding on the power of wool to be quite warm and temperature/moisture regulating with minimal bulk.

Purchased to take on our trip to Iceland, along with the matching base layer top. Did not disappoint! Super cozy, comfy, didn't stretch out or bag - was perfect under snow gear, just to lounge in, and even under skinny jeans! Will absolutely be ordering more!

Skiing in heavy powder. Perfect layer. Fabric is soft and not itchy. Waistband doesn't slouch down. Not tight on the calves.
