Love these shoes. So disappointed they tore up so fast. I had the shoes less than two weeks and only wore them to do daily activities, nothing too intense on the shoe. The rubber on the bottom of the shoe has almost completely torn off on both shoes. Very disappointed in these and frustrated I spent so much money on something like this.

In the store, these were the most comfortable, light-weight shoes I had ever worn. I loved them. On my first run, which was about five miles, these shoes were amazing. Recently, I sprained my ankle so these shoes seemed to be perfect during my recovery. However, these shoes quickly gave me horrible blood blisters along the insides of my foot, near my arch. I was sad because I loved the shoe, so I kept running in them hoping that my feet would adjust and the blisters would go away. I used everything from bandaids, to cotton balls, to duck tape, my nothing helped my blisters. I refused to believe the shoes didn't fit my feet because I loved them so much. After running a little over 100 miles in the shoes and still suffering with blisters, I decided it was time to change shoes. I bought a pair from another leading running shoe brand and my blisters have since healed. Essentially, great shoe and give it a shot, but if you get blisters, return them IMMEDIATELY.

Was excited about these shoes based on all the glowing reviews. I have a painful foot due to too much impact on the ball of my foot and too many miles at a time on hard surfaces. The shoes don’t feel like they fit my foot correctly, it’s not really a size issue but a fit issue. They weren’t too tight, they just didn’t feel like they provided the right shape in the right places for my feet. As a few other people noted, they rub on the inside of the foot just above the arch. It’s almost like the toe box doesn’t accommodate the natural shape of a foot. I wore them in the house to get a better feel of how they would work, but I don’t think I’d get very far outside before they’d really start hurting my feet. Wanted to love these, but they don’t work for my feet.

I have purchased and loved previous versions of Hoka Cliftons. I use them for long distance runs, usually between 20-25 miles/week on soft, dirt surfaces. The Clifton 5's were great. I ordered Clifton 6 in the same size as my previous shoes, and I was sadly disappointed. The toe box is much too wide and high. My foot slips around, and the extra movement in the shoe hurt my ankles and knees. Please do not assume that all runners have wide feet that need roomier toe boxes. Purchasing Clifton 6's was a complete waste of my limited funds. I'm thoroughly disappointed.

I use the shoes for cross training. I have narrow feet and high arches. The shoes slide around on my feet and do not give me good arch support. Hence I get blisters. I have only worn them inside, I have attempted to return them, but at the time your return mode on the website was not working. I think I am past the return time limit.

It’s too neutral for me. I got blisters after one day on the road with these. The good news - Zappos has unmatched customer service. I would give them all 5’s. This sneaker, not so much.

I was so surprised to see so many good reviews for this shoe. I had the Clifton 5, which I really loved. I wore a size 8.5 in the 5, and heard this version was *a tiny amount* longer, which was true, but a good fit for me. However, it is aggressively narrower. I wore the regular previously, but this one was so narrow it left huge blisters on the bottom of my foot at the arch several centimeters into the middle. So upsetting because this was one of my favorite shoes. Truly uncomfortable. Also I don't know if it's something I'm doing, but I could never get the tongue to sit normally, it always fell to the side. Two stars are there because the thick cushioning I love is still there.

I’m not a runner but a walker. This shoe actually caused pain in the back of both legs. I’m guessing it’s the way I walk. I returned them.

I ordered the Black Clifton 6 to replace a pair of Clifton 5 knit. I am so disappointed in this shoe. The arch support is almost non existent in my opinion. I don't feel the wonderful cushioning that the Clifton 5 had as well. My orthopedic surgeon recommended the Clifton 5 and it was a godsend to me. It was the only athletic shoe I have ever worn that I did not have to use an orthodic insert in. The best features of the Clifton 5 are missing from this shoe. The Clifton 6 is now no better than the average shoe I can pick up anywhere for much less.

I've worn Clifton's for the past several years. I recently bought two pairs and each pair have caused serious and reoccurring blisters. The toe box is very narrow and I normally wear a normal width shoe. I spent hundreds of dollars for new shoes I'll never be able to wear again. Very disappointed. I decided to try the Bondi and I absolutely love them.

This was probably my 6th pair of Clifton's. I converted to Hoka Clifton after being a devoted Mizuno Waverider fan as I needed the extra cushioning and stability. I have always bought a size 9.5 running shoe (Mizuno and Hoka). However, I bought my most recent pair of Clifton 6 in a size 9.5 and they were HUGE! I'm talking about they felt like I had put on a pair of funny clown shoes they were so big. So I returned them for a size 9.0. BTW, very pleased with Hoka's return policy. The size 9.0 Clifton 6 feel ok, but still seem too wide.

I wish I was writing a better review. These shoes initially felt great. They're super comfy, and I felt like I was flying on 7 mile runs. However, after about a month of wear, I started developing gnarly blood blisters on my feet. I got two really bad ones on the bottom of my big toes and one on the inside of my right arch. I'm super bummed because i would love them so much if it weren't for the blisters. I currently am struggling to walk because of the severity of the pain.

I bought these in Aug of 2019. I am a walker and enjoy long walks multiple times a week. I loved the underfoot cushioning. They worked for a while but did pinch/rub the outside of my left foot. Unfortunately a point came where they had rubbed two spots and other issues with pain and changing how I was walking were occurring. I tried pads etc but finally had to stop wearing them. The shoe runs big and I dropped a half size. The upper is VERY loose and sloppy which I did not like. I believe this is where the problem occurs - the upper lets your foot slide so much it runs repeatedly into the sidewall/hard plastic liner near the outer sole. At about $160 cost, I am very disappointed to only get this much use.

I became interested in the One One after reading positive reviews about the comfortable toe box. I opted for a half size smaller than I normally would in an athletic shoe. The shoes are cute, love the color selection, and although they fit well enough, there is nowhere near enough support for athletic purposes. My feet are headed toward blistering just from two 6 mile walks. I am headed back to my Asics gel nimbus.

I've never had this problem with running shoes before but I got a blister on the side of one of my feet - on the inside where a bunion would be, but I don't have bunions at all. Also, I noticed my toes starting to feel numb towards the end of my run. Maybe they run narrow...? I have always worn a medium width so that's what I ordered.

Long distance runner/triathlete. Fell in love (finally) with Clifton 5. The Clifton 1-3 were great for a while, but with no "roll" in the stride, the knees and hips eventually took too much pressure. The 4 was so stiff I was ready to give up. The 5 was absolute BEAUTY and perfection- with a slightly softer "roll" than the Clayton (my other "go to" shoe) I gobbled up every Clifton 5 I could find. The 6 sort of tries to go back to the 1-3 but the problem is it has lost both softness and roll. You had me at 5, folks. I do not recommend the Clifton 6. It has lost the softness of 1-3 and has no "motion" in the mid foot at all. Clomp, clomp, clomp.

I miss the Clifton 5! This is an entirely different shoe, or maybe my pair is a defect. The cushioning is weaker compared to the Clifton 5 and they run a half size too big. I'm a Hoka One promoter, but this shoe was a huge disappointment.

I have been wearing the Cliftons for years, the 3,4, and 5. I don't know what happened with the 6, it's completely different, not as much cushion or support. They are terrible and not nearly as comfortable. I'm going to try the Bondi's and hope they are better.

Wayyyyy too squishy. Why so squishy? I’ve been wearing Hoka’s for running for years. Now I am sad. The trail runners are less squishy thank goodness but they seem different too.

I was very disappointed in the Clifton 6. I have had 3 pair of Clifton 3's and loved them. This Clifton was less supportive, less cushioned in the ball of the foot and ran a bit narrow. I loved the color of the black/gold. I do Jazzercise and found that the Clifton 6 caused me much foot pain during my class to the point I could not concentrate on my moves. They are going back and I will continue with my Clifton 3's as they are perfect.

I work retail, so I'm on my feet 40+ hours per week. I have plantar fasciitis. I thought I'd found my salvation with the Hoka Clifton 5s. Then they were changed to the Clifton 6. They're still cushiony, but the instep is so wide I have to cinch up my laces so my arch contacts the arch support. It's almost like there's no support. After two weeks of wear I have corns. I need to find new shoes all over again. So disappointed.

I've worn every Clifton since Clifton 1. They were recommended for a high arch. I've run exclusively in these without any problem. Purchased the Clifton 6 without reading up on the changes. When I received them I immediately felt a difference in the arch and cushioning. I went to the Hoka website and then I found that they had lowered the arch. I ran in them anyway having confidence in the Clifton from all the years I've used them. Unfortunately I've developed Patellar Tendonitis. I'm hoping the next Clifton goes back to what it was in the past.

The left shoe had more cushioning (?) than the right; the arch was 'off' and uncomfortable... nothing obvious when looking inside shoe. Bought new Bondi's at the same time without the same discrepancy. Hoka appears to be losing quality with time (differences in Bondi too).
