The width of this shoe is absolutely wonderful. My feet just have multiple problems. The shoe rubbed on one of my arches and I will have to return them. Definitely get this shoe if you love cushion and have very wide feet.

Would've loved the shoe, but it was low in the heel area for me and therefore, didn't provide me the stability I needed.

Since my first pair (sz. 7) were a little big, ordered half size down. The 6.5’s fit perfectly, though I think even more perfect would be a 6.5 wide, which wasn’t in stock at the time of my reordering. I opted to keep both pairs, though, because I love the shoe so much and am afraid they will discontinue them, as I had a hard time finding this brand/color anywhere else. I wear the size 7s as my “indoor pair” when I do my physical therapy (I’m currently recovering from knee surgery), and the size 6.5 pair to go out (and once I am fully recovered, plan to use them for walking/jogging outdoors). Even without ordering the wides, the shoe is still pretty comfortable and relatively roomy. Lots of room in the toe box, which is one of the key things I was looking for, as my physical therapist suspects I have Morton’s neuroma. I’m still hopeful to try the wide version at some point down the road so I can know my best fit for this brand, as I plan to keep buying them. The Hoka brand came up when I searched for shoes with a wide toe box. Love them and really appreciate the fast delivery and wonderful customer service Zappos provides. Thank you.

Have a narrow but not to narrow size foot, wear size medium width and 8.5 in Nike Air Max / Pegasus and the alike with nike runners. Nike running shoes is my normal brand and for years have fit me best. However, this Hoka One One Clifton 6 is too big inside, which would not have been a big deal because I normally put padded shoe-inserts in ...meaning, on top of the insoles that are already there. Doubling the inserts on most nike runners makes my shoes tight for a good period of time, but I just loosen the laces and deal with it for awhile. Anyway, the biggest reasons I don't like these hoka's is my 5 year blown out ~ old nike's have more cushion. In addition, the hoka's arch support is in a funny place, totally not inline with my arch. Also, the clifton 6 do run a quarter of size bigger than nike peagasus. Meaning, true to size but not really, because the shoes (hoka) are about 1/4+ increment bigger than nike peagasus. Hope this review helps someone.
I'd also recommend:
Nike Pegasus 26 or 28 too bad Nike don't leave good enough along, they don't make them anymore.

The length was perfect and true to street shoe size, but the width was more narrow than Brooks running shoes. Extremely cushioned!

Very nice shoe. Lots of cushion. I didn't care for the salmon color bottom. The arch did not hit correctly and was uncomfortable. I have a pari a Arahi 4's that I really like and they fit better. Returning them but would definitely recommend them - just didn't work for me.

I really liked these shoes but unfortunately my type of orthotics did not work with them. I have high arches but I was still suppinating and need more support.

I’m between an 8.5 and 9 in street shoes and anywhere between 9.5 to 10 for inning shoes. I decided to try these Clifton 6’s in 8.5 after reading reviews. At first, the fit seemed fine with some noticeable arch support. I was impressed with how lightweight and cushioned they felt on. Unfortunately, on my second time wearing them, the shoe started digging into my arches. I don’t normally wear wide widths, so I didn’t expect this issue. Zappos has the most amazing customer service and because of the 30 day run guarantee, I’m able to return these used shoes. I like the shoes enough to see if the size 9 will fit. We’ll see...

I should have paid attention to so many reviews that said to order 1/2 size smaller because these shoes are longer than the usual Cliftons. But I ordered size 10 anyway (my usual size for Cliftons) . I really tried to make them work-put in 2 insoles-but the left heel still slipped. I returned them for a 9 1/2 so I'm hoping they fit better. I love Hokas. Customer service was very helpful. I'm looking forward to receiving my new shoes.
I'd also recommend:
Mains but I like Bondis for walking on pavement, and older Cliftons were good.

This shoe is lightweight and very cushioned. The colors are nice. This was the first pair of Hokas I have ordered, and the Clifton was recommended by a friend for possible relief from plantar fasciitis. I will be returning them because they do not seem sturdy enough for the type of hiking that I do. I will try the Challenger ATR next.

I have wide feet and have never had such a wide shoe before. As a result, I realize that I could have ordered the 5.5 rather than 6 and it would have fit a little better/snugger. I am holding onto the shoes tho since my feet swell some when running.

Because I was told that this shoe runs a bit large, I ordered 1/2 size smaller. After wearing them for a couple of days, I have decided that I need my true size. They are very very comfy!

After reading more than one review regarding size, I selected a half size smaller than what I typically would in a running shoe. I can easily see why individuals recommended this. Although it is a half size smaller, the fit feels right for me.

This is about the third generation of Hoka Clifton's that I have been running and is probably overall my favorite to date. I have 3 pair that I rotate and have logged about 700 miles on them in the past year. The most noticeable thing right away was that this Clifton runs very big! I wear a women's size 7-7.5 shoe and usually get an 8 in running shoes (and previous Hokas) to accommodate my custom inserts). I had to go down to a size 7 and I'm not convinced that I wouldn't be better off with a size 6.5 as they loosen up with running. Other than the size issue, the toe box is a good shape for me (narrower foot) and cushioning is enough without being too overbearing. As a masters runner who has had a serious back surgery, I appreciate the cushioning for short-medium distance runs(3-10miles), I also sometimes lace up my Bondi's for the longer training runs (>10 miles). I have used the Clifton's in 9 half marathons and countless other road races and find them to be a nice balance between weight, efficiency and cusion.

I'm using these for walking and I'm still trying to decide if I love these or not. I don't have knee pain when walking, but my arch is killing me. I think my feet are starting to get used to them. I walked 5 miles the other day and while my feel ached, particularly my arch, I felt great. I may review again after a few more days of wearing. I really like the fit and the fact that my knees don't hurt is a big plus.

Felt it ran a little narrow, I will order the wide next time and size down by half a size. I wear a 9 medium but these felt narrow.

Luckily these have a wider fit to them because I am a wide and they only have medium width. I’m a 10 1/2 and the fit is perfect! The 11 were too big! Great shoe!

This is my second pair of Cliftons and I do love them. I feel like the new version is slightly different. It's taken me longer to break in. If I could find a Clifton 5 in my size I would buy that instead.

I was recommended by my podiatrist to use Hoka shoes for running. I am 45 yrs old with hallux ridigitis in right big toe. These shoes have allowed me to run more than without. I thought they would be too clunky but I do not even notice the shoes, they are lightweight. A bit on the wider side though I have narrow feet. I just wear thick socks

I love these shoes, had a pair a few years ago that fit better. This pair is a little big compared to my last pair even though it's the same size. Still light and comfortable.
