Shoes are great. Zappos service was even better: I was initially sent the wrong size. When I called to request an exchange, I learned they no longer had my size. The representative offered to send me the newer model, cover the price difference and overnighted them. Plus made the exchange very easy. This is textbook customer service recovery and I'm now a loyal customer!

Love the Clifton 6! Super comfortable. Took them out of the box today and ran 6 miles (flats, hills, trails). No problems at all. I bought the pink/orange. I had been running in the Clifton 5, then the knit version of the 5. These are the best of the bunch imho! I bought a 9.5 in the C6. The knit version (C5) I needed to size down to a 9. I have achilles tendonitis in both heels. As soon as I started running in Clifton 5's, the pain literally disappeared. Hip pain was eradicated as well. Such great running shoes for me!

The Clifton 5 was my 1st pair of Hoka's and I loved them. I purchased a 6.5 Wide and they fit perfect. Some people said they ran narrow and I guess if you have a really wide foot the Clifton 5 would probably run a little narrow. I was excited to try the new Clifton 6, but they run much bigger in length and width compared to the 5 (you can see in my photo where my toe ends.). I also did not feel that they provided as much support as the 5 did. I probably could have played around with sizing, but decided to return and stick with my original Clifton 5.

My daughter and I wear the same size shoes, so I buy for her and try them on to make sure they'll fit her. I run and she doesn't, so there are a couple of different views offered here. Right out of the box, these are suuuper comfortable! Definitely an easy ride. I wear a 7.5M in Merrell and Altra, and an 8.0M in most other brands. I bought a 7.5M in these and they are a perfect fit. I normally wear Birkenstocks and barefoot, minimalist shoes that are more foot-shaped so that I have plenty of room for my toes. I had an extensive bunion correction surgery about 1.5 yrs ago and I'm not even going to try to cram my foot into a shoe that's going to reverse everything I got fixed. I normally wear zero drop, barefoot/minimalist running shoes for extra toe width, but these Hokas had plenty of room for my toes. As for cushion, there is cushion aplenty. So much so that I would not be comfortable wearing them for running. As mentioned, I normally wear barefoot running shoes, which by design don't have a lot of cushion, so please take that into consideration. For my daughter's usage -- marching band practice, walking at school, stocking/facing at a grocery store (on her feet for her whole shift) -- these are perfect.

Beware that these Hoka Clifton run a little big. Zappos customer service was amazing in helping me find the right size. I have owned several Hoka shoes all in size 9. I went down to a size 8.5 and they fit perfect. Very comfy and happy with these. I have attached a picture showing the difference between the size 9 & 8.5.

My favority HOKA yet. I have the Gaviota, Bondi 6, and now Clifton 6. I couldn't ask for any changes. I wear 11 W in womens. The midfoot is wide enough and pleanty of cushioning. Looks like a "normal" shoe. LOVE, need more colors in wide

I really wanted these shoes to work me because I have heard great things about Hoka One One. I love the black color and the cushioning. They are actually super comfortable to walk in, but after five runs of varying distances & speeds, I knew I couldn’t use them for running. I’m intrigued by their unique design. However, for me it just felt like I was running in sand. They absorb so much shock that I felt like a lot of my forward momentum was being absorbed instead of propelling me forward. It made my gait different, I used different muscle groups, and it felt like I was using up more energy to run - the outcome was slower speeds and more fatigue! I don’t fault the shoes for this; they are a great shoe for a lot of people, but just aren’t a good fit for me. My husband has the same pair and loves them!

I'm struggling with this review because I REALLY wish I could love this shoe. It checks ALL of the boxes that me and my difficult feet normally look for in an athletic shoe: well made with breathable fabric, a sufficiently wide toe box, no heel slippage, great arch support, supportive yet squishy sole. The only problem, and the reason I'll be returning these shoes, is the rigid "edge" that runs all around the shoe. In the arch area, the edge comes in so far and up so high that I had to take the shoes off after only 30 minutes. I was left with a painful, raised red line where that edge had dug into my arches. It was immediately apparent that I would have gotten blisters by wearing them any longer. I waited for the redness to dissipate and two days later I tried again in hopes I could convince myself that I could build up a tolerance. I didn't make it down the hall before taking these shoes back off.

I normally wear a 7 in women's running shoes. For some reason with Hoka, they seem to run a half to full-size too large. For example, I wear a size 6 with the Cavu's. For these shoes, I ordered a size 6.5 and they fit perfect with some room to spare for swelling! I highly recommend these shoes!

I had to return my first order because they felt a too big. I ordered a half size smaller and it was perfect. I’ve been wearing Cliftons for a few years now and the 6 is by far the most plush model so far. These are super comfortable and supportive. I’m ordering a few pair.

Fit perfect. Hokas are great for people with joint challenges as they provide excellent cushion & support. I'm a former runner, so I need a wide toe box. The Clifton 6 is one of my favs.

This is my third pair of Hoka's. I had foot surgery in February and once I was allowed to wear shoes my son suggested Hoka's. He had heard they are very comfortable. Since he is in the "sneaker game" I took his advice and I'm glad I did. They were immediately comfortable and still are. I needed to size up and a wide footbed and these shoes fit the bill on both. Would recommend for comfort after surgery and probably beyond.

This is the 2nd pair of Hokas I needed to return because the size was too big. I even tried on 1/2 size smaller, and it was still too wide in the heel. I greatly appreciate the Zappos free shipping & return policy.

For those who have been frustrated with sizing on the Clifton, this version is no different and maybe worse? Be willing to try a size you don't think you wear. For me, I typically wear a 7.5 or 8 in all other running shoes, though went a half size down to a 7 in the Clifton 5 Knit and the Rincon. For this Clifton 6, I went down a full size to 6.5 (which I don't even wear in street shoes!) and they are still roomy enough that they'll be fine on very long runs when my feet need more room. I really don't know what Hoka is thinking! But I absolutely love the shoe for my high mileage training weeks and still think the sizing trouble is worth it.

Heed the reviews that say these run large! I originally order my normal size (9) but had to return for a half size smaller. They're super light and very springy/bouncy in the sole and heal. If I were able to run these might be a fun change from the Brooks I've worn for years. But I have a broken 5th metatarsal that won't heal (4+ mos) and my doc recommended Hoka as an everyday shoe for now because of the support they offer. I'm not wild about the style, but they're not too bad. Overall, I'm happy with them.

I wanted to like these so much! Everyone was saying how true to size they are and also true to width. I disagree. Normally a true 7.5 in medium width. That was way too long and not wide enough. I then ordered size 7 wide, it was the correct length, but felt sloppy in the arch/width. Even tried lacing tighter and it just didn't have enough support. I keep trying Hoka, hoping that a new style will work, but I am finally giving up.

The shoe overall felt great! I only had one problem and couldn't ignore it. Near the arch, the sole cuts in too narrow and rubs underneath the arch of my foot. So instead of creating a comfy feel, it irritates the inside of my arch. After 10 miles, I was ready to kick off the shoe. :S The rebound is great from the steps but I couldn't get over the sole.

I purchased the Clifton 5 shoe in a wide and loved it!! However, the Clifton 6 Wide is waaay tooo big for me! The C6 Wide felt like a half a size too big for me. I returned it for a 8M instead and it fit! The fit is a bit more narrow than I would like for it to be. Maybe I'll just need to get used to it. Other than that, I do like the C6. It still has wonderful cushion and arch support. My heel doesn't seem to fit as well in the 6 as in the C5, but the change isn't too bad. I am going to keep the shoe. It is a little hard to keep up with the changes. Would like to know beforehand what I am buying before doing so..

These are longer and more narrow than other Hokas that I have. I am a size 8 in most shoes, but usually order an 8.5 or 9 in running shoes...depending on brand. My other Hokas are 8.5 and are the perfect length and perfect width. I had to order an 8 in these. The 8 fit well, but more narrow than other Hokas. These are great cushioned shoes and I love the color (white/salmón). Make sure to go a half size down.

I have several pairs of Hoka one ones. In Clayton and Mach, I wear size 7, but in the Cliftons I wear 7.5 For the Clifton 6, I ordered both the 7 and 7.5; I kept the 7.5 and returned the 7. The 7.5 is just a little bit too long, while the size 7 was just a bit too small. I think a 7.25 would have been perfect if it existed! Nevertheless, the Clifton 6 in size 7.5 is fine with the proper sock and is very cushiony and comfortable. I appreciate that Zappos is very consumer friendly, and it is very convenient to order the two possible correct sizes and just keep the right one! The return is super easy and the money is very promptly returned to the credit card. Thank you, Zappos.

Love these shoes!! These are my first pair of Hoka’s and they’re crazy comfortable. I was a devoted Skechers fan but they tend to wear out pretty quickly (lose support), so decided to try these. These work great for my troubled feet- flat feet, wide feet, bunions, and I’m very picky about my shoes! LOVE these. They do run a full size larger, so Hoka 8.5 fit exactly like my 9.5 Skechers (picture). My only slight complaint is they aren’t a bright blue like the picture, more of a overall gray (picture). Still love them!
Thanks Zappos for the fast shipping and easy returns! Took me 3 tries to find the perfect shoe. ??

Ahhhh ... the cushion on these is just so comfy. They do run big ... I am usually 10.5 or 11 and had to return for a 10 in these, so size down at least half a size. Medium is plenty wide on me (I have narrow heels but like toe room). Not the most beautiful sneakers ever, but not bad and some fun colors. I have been having one foot issue after another (tendonitis in my achilles, arch, toes and extreme pain and swelling in the joint on the outer edge of my foot.) I used to wear shoes for overpronation but apparently the newer model was overcorrecting, causing lots of problem. I ran in these and wore them for hours on a dirt surface that's usually rough on feet, and they felt great.

I typically wear 7.5 sneakers. Returned because these Hoka One One Clifton 6 was cut too big. Ordered 7, too big, returned. Ordered 6.5 (a FULL SIZE smaller than what I normally wear) and they FINALLY FIT! Further, I typically wear normal width but had to order WIDE because these Hoka One One Clifton 6 was narrow. Anyway, this pair I got finally fit and they feel good.

Nicely cushioned support. Wish there was a bit more arch support. Usually size up 1/2 a size for running shoes, but chose my usual shoe size for these based upon reviews. They fit well. Should be able to walk for Miles’s and stand for days in these. I liked the styling of the Akasa better, but these work better with my feet and stride.
