This fleece keeps me warm during the cold but not too hot. I love that this jacket can be worn every day and very stylish

I use it for hiking in mild and cold weather. I also use it as a jacket when working on outdoor house projects. It fits great and looks good. I have no complaints.

When you hate the cold, this is the best fleece jacket to buy.

The short version: Regarding size, I'm 5'11" 180 with 42 chest, the size guide says I should be a large. I ordered the L and it was good but fit like a coat, with room to wear something underneath and sleeves were a little long. I wanted it to fit like it was tailored with just a shirt underneath. The M just arrived, and it fits perfect, everywhere! I'm very happy. I wanted this to work out because it's so soft and warm and has some style. It's not cut like a box. Nice job NF. Longer version: I first ordered a pagagonia retro fleece in both L and M. They both did not fit well and had a strange shape especially if it wasn't zipped. The thing that was the deal breaker and something that this North face fleece did so much better are the seams. TNF seams are nice and flat. The Patagonia fleece had seams that stick up on the inside and the worst part was it had some plastic sewn in to the seam that poked out and was soooo itchy!!

I tried to find the reviews with different guy sizes and come to my own conclusion. Im 5'9" 225lbs. I ordered an XXL....was like a blanket on me. I guess Ill order an XL. Seems nice though.

It's perfect! It's warm, light material and very easy to wash.

I already own the 1/4 zip version of this jacket, so the medium size and fit were the same.

My North Face gear is my favorite to wear. The only problem I have is that sometimes if I"m not doing something special I thing about not wearing them because I want to them for ever. My favorite cool weather gear. Steve

I like wearing this jacket while running errands, it is a perfect casual wear jacket!

Love this zip up. It's lightweight and comfortable. I can wear it to work or on a hike the next day. It goes great over a flannel or button up but is soft on the inside so you can wear it over just a tshirt. Definitely and everyday wear for me.

Replacing an old NF basic black fleece. Surprised to find there is no such thing anymore...This sweater knit is very nice. A bit more tailored look. Fuzzy/warm lining. My only concern is if will be susceptible to picks and snags...that knit looks a lot more vulnerable than old-fashioned fleece. Only time will tell.
