Great looking shoes! But, they are too wide for my foot, particularly the heel width.

Always comfortable, always a standby for me, along with some of the other great Brooks shoes! My feet have plenty of room but still feel supported and protected.

As someone who suffers from plantar fasciitis and overpronation because of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, it's a struggle to find good walking shoes that I can wear for long distances without my symptoms flaring up. Even though they do start out a little stiff and need breaking in, I noticed a huge difference right away and the level of support is unlike anything I've ever had in a pair of shoes. I have pretty flat feet so I ordered a wide, but even then they don't seem too bulky. These have become my every day shoes and I plan to order another pair to rotate between so they last longer. I hardly ever leave reviews for products I've purchased, but felt compelled to so that hopefully other folks with PF and hEDS can find them too.

I've worn this same style since it came out. I first found out about Brooks shoes after I had two foot surgeries from my doctor I was a custodian for 25 years and these held up fantastic to the chemicals. The soles never broke down from the chemicals. Good arch support and made to last. Definitely a keeper.

Ordered two different pairs of Brooks shoes in the same size; neither fit. This pair was too short and the toe box was extremely wide for a shoe that was supposed to be narrow. The other pair was too long. I'm disappointed, as I have worn Brooks shoes for years and have always been happy with them.

As a special education teacher, the addiction walker 2 (white) are the PERFECT every day, every outfit, shoe! My back and feet have not hurt since changing to this specific shoe. I do have two running shoes with Brooks, but found these one are the best for comfort. I can keep up with my kids and stand for hours on end. I'm buying another pair in white as a back-up. Since this is the first pair I've ever had last an entire year (usually 4-5 months), I'm not sure when they'll give out. Gotta have my next ones ready! They're still going strong after 10 months of teaching, so I'm going to see how long I can go! Love these and definitely recommend if you have a bad back, ankles, or painful feet.

Not enough support. I've used Brooks forever, but these just don't feel good.

These have a good amount of cushion in the heel which make each step soft and airy.

I really love this shoes, good support, stable for 20,000 steps a day. I dont need extra insoles to make it more comfortable. But i have to return it because it is very slippery.

I bought the addiction walker 2 for nursing school. I haven't wore them to Cliniclas yet but I wear them everyday to class and I absolutely love them. I wish I would have gotten them in wide bc they are more in the narrow side but I found that loosening the shoe laces and breaking them in helped widen it up. These are true to size in my opinion and I absolutely love them!

The fit was perfect. But the shoe slipped on the tile floor as soon as I walked on it... so it is definitely not a certified slip resistant shoe IMO.

I've worn the Addiction Walker for probably 8-10 years. I have always worn them with medical orthotics (at $500 a pair) prescribed by my foot orthopedist for the severe arthritis in all the bones at the top of my feet. Like many people, I don't think the version 2 is as comfortable or effective as the original. Others I know have told me the same thing for these as well as other brands (e.g., New Balance) -- the subsequent versions are just plain inferior. For one thing, the toe box is less rounded. For the pairs I bought and kept this year (I had already kept a pair of them them in black 6 months ago and just started wearing the white), I went up a size from an 8.5 to 9.0 and from a D to a EE in width. To determine the best size and width I had ordered 4 different pairs, returning 3 and keeping only the 9.0 EE. These will have to do. I'm hoping they don't stretch out too quickly.

The fit was great, the look was great, the squeak in the left shoe -awful. I tried it on carpet and hard wood floors and it squeaked where ever I walked.

I have been buying this specific sneaker for years. I loved the comfort and support. The latest purchase doesn't feel the same as the previous ones. It's not as comfortable. I'm hoping the sneakers will become more pliable with wear.

The fit was fine but the left shoe had a squeak in it. It squeezed on carpeted floors and hard floors. They were comfy but can’t handle the squeak.

I usually wear size 8.5, but need a 9 in this shoe. It’s very nice for walking. Looks great, cleans up easy. I love that I can get it in wide.

I have worn Brooks Addiction Walkers for many years. The new pair recently purchased are a disappointment. They felt snug, but I thought it was because they were new. Actually, they are too tight and causing problems with my feet - can’t wear them. Not pleased.

I have flat feet and always order shoes that provide stability, otherwise I experience back pain. Throughout the year, I usually wore Brooks Adrenaline GTS21 and GTS32 models. Recently, I came across the Addiction Walker 2 model while searching for something that doesn't look like a sports shoe and is preferably somewhat waterproof. I chose the white ones. The first few days they were a bit stiffer than I'm used to. After a week, it's already better. As for the size, it is the same as with other Brooks shoes. These shoes will be most suitable for dry weather. I do not recommend them for rainy days - at least not the white color because the seams quickly get dirty and darken. What worries me about these shoes and also surprises me is that they are very slippery on wet surfaces. It seems to me that they are very dangerous on smooth wet concrete, which I also experienced recently when I fell. I have never experienced anything similar with the Adrenaline model, which I really wear in any weather. Although the sole says "slip resistant," this is not true on wet surfaces. So be aware of this fact. As for the width, the medium "D" is just right for me. I have narrow feet. It is the same width that I wear on the Adrenaline models. The shoes provide very good stability, somewhat greater than the Adrenaline model. I am considering buying black ones for rainy autumn and winter days, but given that they are very slippery, this might be a big problem. I hope they do something about it. The pattern on the soles looks quite different from those for running. Maybe if they kept the sole as it is on the others and the shoes didn't slip, it would be a winning combination. I hope they will last a long time in terms of wear, as the shoes are not cheap at all. Time will tell.

A really tight fit, the right side toe seam smashes and grinds on my tailor's bunion. Better for standing than walking in.

they run a little too narrow and I have narrow feet. they also squeak with every step which is most annoying not only for me but for those within earshot. They do have good support and I have worn them outside so cannot return them. going forward I would not buy them again.
