So glad to be back in Brooks Addiction. Best support shoe ever. Nice round high toe box. Soft leather. Feels like an old friend from day one.

I'm a mail carrier and walk many, many miles. I had the original addiction walkers last year and they were so comfortable. It also took the soles a long time to wear out. I tried to find the originals again but had no luck, so I went with these. I don't think they look as good as other ones, but you can't really make black leather tennis shoes look great. The fit is the same and they're still comfortable. I don't think they're durable enough though. After wearing them for only a couple weeks, the front of the shoe where the sole meets the leather is already peeling back a little bit. The originals I had for months and never did that. I'm questioning how long these are going to last in the long run. I'm huge Brooks fan so going with another brand is out of the question. I just hope they don't let the quality get too low.

It is comfortable to work with 8 to 12 hours shifts. I would let other customers know. For me it is worth the money.

I am a full time CNA at an assisted living facility. I am on my feet and running around 8-12hrs a day.. I wear a size 11 d, big wide feet. It has been super difficult in finding shoes that last or are comfortable. I bought the addiction walkers in white leather and am in love! I love the comfort and support! It's truly amazing! However, within the first month the front toe part came undone m. I keep wearing them but its just highly annoying. For the price of the shoe they should last longer than a month before falling apart. I am going to buy another and hope they don't fall apart.

They're very comfortable. They tend to get a little scuffed, however. I only wore them a few times and I see tears in the rubber.

I wear barefoot shoes and I thought maybe these would work. They are light*** but there is too much padding and distance from the ground to work as barefoot shoes. I ordered a wide which helps but the toe box is too narrow for my feet. If your not concerned about the barefoot lifestyle and your okay with a narrow toe box then these are the shoes for you.

As a senior citizen, I needed to exercise and decided on walking. A physical therapist recommended Brooks gym shoes (these are my summer walking shoes) and I found them to be extremely comfortable and I like the bounce it provides which propels me to walk for longer periods. I decided to purchase the walking shoes since they were made of leather and I could use them during winter. They are very comfortable with solid support around the ankles and thick soles provide cushion for bottom of my feet especially when walking on pavement. The color selection is extremely limited and that is a disappointment; reason for 4 stars. Why not gray, tan or navy blue?? I?m still getting used to the weight of the shoe which is slightly heavy for me with my small size 5 feet and being under 100 lbs.

It?s a 5 star in comfort but a 3 in looks. The new style has some ribbed leather around the top that looks very cheap.

The shoes are true to size and width, with moderate arch support, and not too heavy, ie. a bit more light weight than earlier Addiction Walkers - which i have had. i like the lighter weight.

The fit of these shoes, which I've been buying for years, is still good. They have room for my orthotics when I take the Brooks liners out. The one shortcoming which stopped me from giving it five stars is the the shoelaces--they're too short, and the rounder shape doesn't stay tied as well as the flatter cotton style. This has been a problem for a number of years, but it seems to be getting worse. I sometimes need to tie double knots to keep them from coming untied, and it's a real challenge to do that successfully. I have to buy another pair of laces that are longer, and for the price I'm paying for these shoes, which I still love, I don't think I should have to buy different laces.

I love the shoe itself, just not the color options. I'm an operating room nurse, so I'm on my feet, power-walking or standing, most of the day. Needed something comfy and with good arch support that was relatively fluid impervious, and these shoes fit the bill beautifully. Brooks are the only sneakers I've worn, both in and out of work, for the last 4 years!

I've never had to order wider than a D width before - but that didn't feel right with my last pair of Brooks. So this time I ordered the extra wide E and they feel much better.

This shoe is very comfortable. I thought it might be a little squishier since some of the running shoes have a nice cushion. I feel very supported. I have a job where I am on my feet for 8 hours a day and my old shoes were not doing the job. I don't get the same fatigue with these shoes.

I really like these shoes for everyday all day wear. They are very sturdy/supportive. These are not good for power walking/exercise because they are too heavy and not flexible enough.

This was the first time I've purchased a walking shoe, though I have been a Brooks fan for a number of years. While the leather is very nice, the support is strong enough to be slightly uncomfortable. This could be unique to me, so if you have used walking shoes before, the shoe is worth the price if only due to the construction and quality of the leather.

Nice looking shoe. I use mine for walking. It could have a tad more support, but I like its look. A bit pricey for what you get.

I keep trying these shoes because the original Addiction Walker worked well for me. They had good support, and I liked the overall fit and comfort of the shoe with very good support. I received prescription orthotics and at the same time the Addiction Walker 2 came out. I wore 10.5 AA in the original Addiction Walker, but ordered 10.5 Medium to accommodate the orthotics. The shoes fit well, but after a couple of hours my toes felt cramped. I kept checking to see if they were too short, but that really wasn't it. Nevertheless, I order an 11 Medium as others said they ran small. My feet were swimming. So just recently I ordered the 11 Narrow, and the shoes fit well, but my heel kept slipping a lot as I wore them two mornings around the house. The fit is just weird. I had to keep my first mistake, the 11 Medium, as I wore them outside, but these are going back. I will return to my New Balance 928v3, which aren't perfect, and my heels slip a little, but are overall a better fit and have better support. If Brooks redesigns again, I may return to them. For now, though, the Addiction Walker 2 just doesn't work out.
I'd also recommend:

They did not fit my orthotics and the squeaking was unbearable. I am going to try them without and see if I have pain.

I really like Addiction 2 brook shoes, they support my legs n back. The new ones not as supported. The sides and soles needs more structure and coushion. They don't last as long.

They seemed a hair shorter than the Addiction Walker, so had to return the 9s and get 9.5s. The heel is now a bit loose, but not so much I won't keep them, because I still believe they are the best walking shoes I can get. The laces are anchored on the tongue now, not sure why, so the laces don't slide as easily making the shoes are a bit harder to get into. But maybe I just don't have the hang of it yet. However, the lace holes are flat to help keep the laces from twisting. The shoes look great on, and feel wonderful on my feet and like a dream when walking.

I love these shoes and wear them every day so I can walk but the new design are a bit more narrow and lower than the old design. I can get my arch supports in them and on my feet. I ordered the V strap but the lace ups are OK. The Vs are easier to get on though.
