I was looking for a black leather shoe with good arch support. I previously had the addiction walker with velcro closure, but thought the lace version would allow for more flexible adjustment to provide the best arch support. I find I would buy the velcro closure in future, as the adjustment for support is about the same, which is why I only rated 4 rather than 5 stars. I recommend this product for excellent support.

Have been wearing Brooks "Addiction" for decades. These are quite good, but the seam is a bit higher up on top of the toe front, and it has taken some time for the black pair to get "stretched" enough that my toes aren't too tight. I inserted (and have always inserted) orthotics under the bottom pad. Haven't started wearing the white ones yet, but hope they will feel less tight.

I like the fit and the support it gives my foot. The stitching that attached the tongue to the shoe tends to irritate my foot at times. Good walking shoe for me, most days.

Glad you have a few choices in narrow AA. I'd like to see the tan choice return.

I have he'll Spurs and work seven hour days on my feet these shoes work so well for my needs. The only down fall is the price. I'd like to replace them every3 months just to insure the best comfort but can't afford that.

I have ordered the same shoes for 4 or 5. Years. I liked the previous Addiction Walker better. I have to wear these shoes most of the time and the smooth leather looked better to me than the ridges.

Don't know exactly why, but prefer the fit and feel of the original Addiction Walker to the Addiction walker 2...my foot doesn't feel quite the same level of support and the heel seems to slip a bit. In all fairness I have only worn them twice for walking since purchase, but noticed right off the bat.

I would have purchased this shoe if the shoestrings weren't difficult to adjust and tie.

The shoe is perfect. It keeps my left ankle from rolling out even though it has a severed nerve from when I broke it. And I can use my custom orthotics inside. The only problem is the non-skid sole, which tends to pick up tiny rocks and snow melting crystals in its grooves and then drop them onto the hardwood floor indoors. So I have two identical pairs, one to wear inside and the other to wear outside.

Comfortable shoe I work in food and don't think these shoes are slip resistant.

I?m not a runner, just work 9-10 hours a day on cement floors, lots of walking. I wanted a more sturdy shoe so I went with the leather one this time instead of the canvas ones. These shoes fit well, cushion well, just getting used to the stiffness around my ankles. I like them .

Currently a nursing student and starting to develop some plantar fasciitis. I needed some new all white leather shoes that were comfy and some arch support. Overall they are comfy but they are a little heavy/clunky. Definitely go up 1/2 a size as they run small and I learned that the hard way. I would purchase again

I have worn this style for over 14 years, mostly for walking, and just every day wear. Obviously a good shoe for me!!I I had to get the updated 'Addiction 2' this time. I was a little disappointed with the new sole, as the sidewalk has been wet some mornings, and I felt the shoe slip. I am 69 and really don't need a fall, so I am hoping they will be OK next time it has rained ( living in Oregon this is common!). They are comfortable and I usually can get over a year of use out of them easily, as the all leather holds up well. I can easily wear them all day.

Love the fit and comfort. Helps my planter fasciitis, also. The reason I give 4 stars is the fact they only come in black and white, really now, us gals like pretty shoes and a choice of colors and design.

Fits just like the addiction walker I have ordered for years, but I had to take 1 star because the sole is not the same and it is slippery. Got to watch walking on wet surfaces

I purchased these shoes for many years until the last 3. I recently decided to give them another try after not being able to find another brand shoe that fit my needs. I was surprised that my recent Brooks purchase showed a definite upgrade in the shoe tongue area. My new pair has a better design and the tongue stays in place.
