These shoes are comfortable right out of the box. I usually wear Brooks Ariel for motion control, but these feel just the same. I like that they're all white so I can wear them with just about anything when I go on a cruise later this Spring.
I'd also recommend:

Actually I am not a runner but a very active 78 year old with a badly injured foot. Comfort and 'support are imperative to me and my podiatrist approved and was very complimentary of this shoe. I am able to wear orthotics inside them. This makes probably my 12th pair over the years and I never wear anything else. If you have foot trouble and don't want to wear ugly shoes this is the answer for you.

Brooks army "go to"sneakers especially when I have to walk long distance on cobblestones or uneven surfaces. The support for all day is the best. This pair after reading other reviews was advised to order 1/2 size up. I am glad I did as the fit is perfect from the moment they were worn. Highly recommend these sneakers for your walking pleasure.

Comfort right out of the box! It's SO hard to find an all-leather shoe with a wide toe box . Thank you, Brooks!! This is my second pair of Addiction Walker 2's; my other pair is white.

I am in my early 20s and have flat arches, wide feet, and bunions (one removed, other one is painful and to be removed soon). I am active and walk daily for exercise. When I first put on these shoes, it was immediate relief! I ordered these in my normal size and in extra-wide width. I am in disbelief at how comfortable and supportive these are! I am pretty particular about my footwear and like a soft but not "cushy" footbed. These are the perfect combination of firm yet comfortable. So far I have only worn them at the gym for incline walking on the treadmill, but there has amazingly been no break-in period. I was somewhat concerned about how these shoes would look aesthetically (since I'm in my 20s and am not really going for the orthopedic shoe look yet), but considering that they are extra wide width in white, they look like a more streamlined version of your typical trendy "chunky" shoe. Would highly recommend these for anyone with foot pain looking for a supportive walking shoe!

I am a senior who does a lot of walking and also has foot issues and this shoe is great for me. There's enough room within to replace the insole with my custom orthotic and still have plenty of room in the toe box. The structure is firm and my feet and well stabilized and comfortable. My only gripe is that your sizing stops at a womens 12. In later years my foot size has changed from a 10 AA to a 12 B and if that doesn't stop then what do I do for shoes. I know I can try a men's size but the width and heel are larger. Please consider increasing the size selection.

I’ve ordered these sneakers from Zappos for many, many years. They were recommended to me by my podiatrist and I love them! They are supportive, comfortable and well worth the cost.

I love them!! Great support. Had a very serious diabetic foot injury and this shoe gives me to support I need to prevent a re-occurrence. I wish these were available in cool colors. I need a D width and most aren't available in the cool colors.

I really like these shoes. The comfort is definitely there after being on my feet 12 hrs. Easy to clean as well. It's a 10/10 for me. I would recommend these for health care workers and students in clinical. I would recommend you size up at least half a size.

I have these in both black and white. They are heavy, run small, but feel amazing on my feet. I like the chunky look and these fit the bill. They are super comfortable to walk in, but they do not breathe well. I would not recommend these for the summer due to the heat they retain, but they are great for colder climates. The laces and cloth portion of the white ones get stained easily by jeans, so keep that in mind. I'm on my second pair of the white ones because I wear them pretty much daily and they're not that easy to clean. Definitely plan on buying a third pair.

Love them! Already a friend wants to order a pair when she saw mine. I've been wanting an all white walker that didn't look too orthopedic and still is still very supportive. Win win!

Comfortable and very supportive shoe for walking. Good arch for pronation and good fit around the ankle. My 3rd pair!

In the past, I've always purchased Addiction Walker 1 and loved these sneakers. I wish they were still available. The Addiction Walker 2 has a nice cushion insole that gives a nice arch support and heal comfort. I have to remove the inserts to use my orthotics so I lose the nice cushion but the sole offers foot protection. I've walked 4 times for about 10 miles and I feel the leather is a little stiff but will eventually break in and get softer.

I usually wear a 10.5N and have ordered this shoe in an 11N in the past. This time around the 11 and 11.5 were both too short. I needed a size 12!

I have plantar fasciitis and Brooks is one of the shoes my podiatrist told me to wear. They are comfortable, the only drawback for me is that I would like to have more arch support. I have changed insoles with my protalus insoles. The shoes run small. I normally wear 8.5 and had to go to 9.5.

I absolutely love these shoes. I have had problems all my life finding shoes that fit properly snd are comfortable until I was referred to Brooks by my Orthopedic surgeon. I had to buy a new pair since my old ones were looking pretty bad, but they're still good for yard and garden work. I am a Brooks customer for life.

The only shoes that work for my poor 78 years old feet. Podiatrist recommended these for my over pronation. Not the most fashionable , but what I need everyday all day

Mass General Hospital PT recommended this sneaker for me back in 1998. Have worn these ever since. Only way I can walk without pain!
