I?ve been wearing aAddiction Walker for 15+ years. Previous purchase not happy with. The material is no longer leather it?s plastic and squeaks when I walk. This was the only sneaker that accommodated my foot issues. Now I?m tasked at finding a new sneaker. Customer service at Dick?s in Woodbridge NJ needs improving. Especially when the customer is a senior citizen. The addiction walker kept my feet stable and in motion. Running shoe was recommended by my podiatrist for flat feet.

Several reviews do not like this shoe, but I love it for the secure fit. Had to order 1/2 size up and got a wide to help with my arthritic feet, neuroma, and tailor bunion. Cushioning is excellent. Enough room for a thin 3/4 orthotic. I overpronate and these help keep my feet level. Agree that the leather has a weird feel to it, but is ok. May be too warm for summer but that leaves 3 other seasons for a comfortable , solid walking shoe.
I'd also recommend:
Saucony, New Balance Merrell, Keen

They seem to have motion control and are stiff but perfect for my purpose.

I have small feet (5 wide) and I need good shoe stability. My podiatrist recommended the Brooks Addiction Walker. This has been my favorite, most comfortable shoe for over a decade! I like the spacious toe box and the straighter shoe last. This is a well-made, good-quality shoe, and is worth the price.

This shoe is the Addiction Walker - not Runner. My Dr prescribed this shoe for me. This shoe gives me stability and makes it possible for me to walk with ease now that I am elderly.

I had been wearing a popular walking shoe for the past six years until I tried this Brooks walking shoe. I loved the padded tongue and padded back heal. With my last brand I had to wear a special heel cup because I was having pain issue on the bottom of my right heel. Since switching to Brooks I was able to get rid of the extra heel cup and have no more pain. Brooks is my go-to brand for good quality comfortable walking shoes.

I really like these white sneakers! They are leather so they hold up nice and are easy to wipe clean. I use them for casual/street wear, and have been enjoying that they keep me comfortable with the nice cushion while still being cute/on-trend.

My favorite shoe (in white) for work and play. Looks great and feels great. Accommodates thick orthotics.

Leather seeks as I walk. Hopefully that will not last as the shoe is worn more often.

The shoes are heavy, not flexible when you are walking and uncomfortable. I do not recommend these shoes.

I'm used to Ghost 14 and this is firmer than that. It's not bad, just not as cushioned as I thought it would be. Still good support for me as I'm recovering from a torn Achilles.

Always buy Brooks, but this particular sneaker squeaks as I walk. (My first leather type of Brooks, =rest were mesh type top) Thought it needed breaking in, but after wearing & walking in it for a few days, I'm giving up & returning the shoe, so disappointed. Still recommend Brooks, but maybe not the leather version.

When I tried them on it felt like they were made for my feet. They're very well-made. The only issue I have is that throughout the day my feet swell a little and there is NO give to these shoes so they become tight on my feet. I just loosen up the laces and go about my day. I'm no runner but I do a lot of walking and they're very comfortable. I highly recommend these shoes to diabetics and people with disabilities.

So disappointed. The soles do not have a very good grip. Felt myself slipping on damp surfaces. Plus they squeak. Good leather should not be squeaking when you walk. Wore the original Addictions for years and loved them. Will not be buying another pair of this version. Only good thing was the support. But that is not enough to negate the other issues.
