Not bad. Not the shoe I wanted because everything else has been out of stock for months. Get the shoe ( the Beast) I'd like in stock so I can get that one instead.

You have softened the tongue which makes it difficult for me. I'm a senior with lots of arthritis. So I have converted my past addictions to slip ons by using elastic laces. The softer tongue collapses into the shoe when I try to put them on. If I loosen the laces to make it easier, my food slips inside the shoe when I walk. I'm thinking I will return them.

So far they are ok. Everyone was building Brooks up to me. They aren't as comfortable as everyone let on. I walk 5 to 10 miles a day. I usually buy New Balance and they last me a year. Well see how long these last.

I bought this shoe based on a pair of running shoes by brooks that very comfortable. I'm only walking in them. And it read that it was slip resistance . Comfortable? Yes. Slip resistance? NO. I work in a restaurant and am always looking for a comfortable slip resistance shoe. This isn't it. I will wear for walking the dog

I have had numerous Addiction Walkers in the past. I usually get them every 6 months. However the last two and especially the last pair aren't even close to what they used to be. Not near as comfortable and the cheaper upper leather squeaks terrible when you walk. I'm a mail courier and my clients have even made a comment. " We hear you coming a mile away ." Please return to the old version with real leather uppers instead of plastic.

The sole is more slippery than the old Addiction Walker. The loop on the tongue is too close to the end of the tongue so it is difficult to lace and unlace. The loop should be back down the tongue like on the Addiction Walker. The upper is made of something that does not allow the laces toward the toe to stay snug before finishing the lacing. The upper feels cheap and seems less strong than the Addiction Walker. I wear a size 13A shoe (buy a 13B because nobody makes a 13A) so I have 2 choices for athletic walking shoe, Brooks Addiction Walker 2 or New Balance. Due to Brooks not having the size I buy I was forced to buy a New Balance model. The New Balance sole is even more slippery and I fell as a result. Both the Addiction Walker and Addiction Walker 2 have better standard arch support than New Balance. Both are more comfortable than New Balance. The Addiction Walker was a 5 star shoe. The Addiction Walker 2 is only 3 stars but is the best choice I have. Flat shoe laces can cut into the eyelets and I have literally have cut through an eyelet before I learned not to use flat laces. I think round laces are better and would like to see them in future shoes. I walk 4 miles, 5 to 7 days a week, completing the walk in 1 hour in all but icy conditions. I have been doing this in Brooks Addiction Walker and Adiction Walker 2 for over 10 years.

My legs are too weak to run, but I can walk. Addiction Walker is better than other shoes inside, but when I walk my dog I need more of a boot or a hightop shoe.

My husband has worn this style for 15 years as it has looked nice enough for more dressy occasions AND it was a rare brand to accommodate his 12.5 feet. He wore this style 7 days a week! This shoe looks cheap, the sizing is off and it squeaks! SO disappointing.

The Addition Walker II does not have the support that the Original Addition Walker had. I am not real steady on my feet and the Original was much better.

Just purchased another pair of the Addiction Walker 2 shoe. I've read the comments and completely agree. While a good shoe, they pale in comparison to the original Addiction Walker - which I've worn for over 10 years. The new design comes apart at the toe, the insoles are not as comfortable and the whole shoe doesn't last as long. Still, the Addiction Walker 2 is the best currently available.

These shoes are quite well built compared with other walkers (but, also, cost two, three, four times as much). The main issue is the sizing. I own 6 or 7 different types of walking shoes, all in the same size, and they all fit differently but work for me - each has its purpose. The Addiction Walker 2 is the only fit that doesn't work at all. It's not just that it runs small, though these do run very small, it simply doesn't feel good on the foot. I'm not sure how much better a half or full size up would feel. If the sizing issues many reviewers bring up could be addressed and the build was kept at the same high quality, this shoe would be untouchable. As it stands now, it's easily the worst in class strictly due to the sizing issue.

This edition of this old standby is not as good as the older models. It doesn't look as good and, in fact, it looks cheaper. Still, it's a decent shoe for the money. But, can you guys do something about the way too long shoe strings?

There's plenty of room for my orthotics and the toe box is generous. I also like that it comes in a narrow size. The fit is great. BUT I had to stop wearing them because my feet hurt so much. I believe the reason is that the sole is so stiff that it's making my flat feet take a lot of stress. I'm still giving it three stars because they might work better for those of you blessed with "normal" feet.

Tried these for on the job standing and 8-12 hours daily (no not Amazon warehouse). And they just felt weird and awkward.

I've gotten these shoes before and I really liked them because they're supportive and last a while. But I bought another pair and I haven't even had them for two weeks and the rubber tip at the toe of the shoe is already coming off. That being said. They are still comfortable and supportive

Compared to the Adiction Walker I have worn for several years (about a dozen pairs): Lacing pattern has changed with one less lace above the tongue holder making the laces harder to tighten. Shoe feels softer, more geezerlike. When I selected the Addiction Walker as my preferred shoe several years ago it was due to the firmer support. AW II feels softer and a bit more difficult to walk longer distances 3-5 miles. I don't think the change was an improvement.

The front tips on my shoes have already started to peel off. The insoles are okay but not great I had to change them out to others. I walk a lot for work and these honestly hurt my feet at first but I've adjusted and they are okay.

I have had addiction walkers for a long time. I was upset to see a change of the tread design. I kept the shoes because they fit but I have doubts on the longevity of the sole. I also use them to walk on slippery areas so the new tread looks like it won't work for me. Only time will tell.

Fit and size was just OK....maybe a little loose.. Not quite the shoe that Addiction 1 seemed to be....The upturn of the sole onto the toe needs to be tapered so the tip is not blunt.....I stumped my toe and it loosened the sole tip from shoe...Had to have it glued back...

The soles are discolored the inside on one the outside on the other, I think it's from the packaging paper. The bottoms are different from my old ones, I prefer old style!
