I would have rated these shoes a 5. The only problem I have with them is that they have an annoying squeak when walking.

I like these shoes, but they do have a flaw.
This is a walking shoe. All of my running/workout shoes are Brooks because they fit my foot. About to travel out of the country and wanting to take only the shoes I would wear, I looked for the right shoe starting with the Brooks website. I found these 'walking' shoes, which are really a running shoe with a leather front upper and all black rather than the bright colors on 'running' shoes. They also have a wear layer on the sole that is designed for walking rather than running. This is all good stuff. I wore the shoes for two weeks traveling on the other side of the ocean. We did a lot of walking and climbing stairs averaging about 15000 steps a day including days when we were on airplanes and trains.
These may now be my daily use shoes.
The flaw: The shoe is advertised as 'maximum support'. It is actually lacking in support. I fixed the problem by taking some insoles out of an old pair of Keens and had the support I was used to. The insoles that come with these Brooks are too flat.

Well built and solid, but also a bit to warm. Good fit. Would prefer something other than black or white in a narrow width. A nice dark grey would be nice or some sort of brown. I feel like I work at the post office with this solid black.

Shoes are great for colder weather. Great support. Unfortunately, the tread is very fine and picks up many small grains of sand. They are perfect for hard surfaces.

I got these again because I knew what to expect. I really don't think shoes are great thing to buy online. That's just me.

Great walking shoe, I've had several pairs over the years. I buy them for the winter months to help keep my feet warm. My only complaint of them is they can be noisy, the material they are made of kind of "squeaks" when you walk but other than that it's a solid shoe.

The 1 & 2 Star reviewes are legit. Tight fitting and stiff. Not worth attempting to break them in. If you have any kind of foot conditions, I wouldnt recommend these. I will be returning them soon. I have bought and recommend the Glycerin GTS 21s. Much better comfort.

This is my fourth pair of the Brooks brand and my favorite for more formal activities. Like the comfort and style. Thanks.

This is my first time. I have been very happy to date. I was ecstatic because at Christmas, I got them and the original was to small. Made the call to customer service and they got me a return label. Said once we see it is on the way from tracking, we will send your out. Could take 3-5 days.
I was floored and shocked because I got them 18 hours after they got my email giving them the tracking number. I was very impressed.

Needed new shoes for work, however should've read the reviews. These are not recommended for restaurant work, they're somewhat slip resistant but not enough to keep you from sliding. Over all felt great, nice and comfy, just can't use them for what I bought them for.

These make great work shoes. Fairly grippy so i won't slip, plus they have some basic certification that keeps management off my back (wouldn't want to settle for Shoes For Crews, those things are terrible). Tough, durable outsole, good support, good padding. I like the way they fit around my ankles too. They're not waterproof, but the soft leather is pretty water resistant and if you really wanted to you might be able to seal them up more against water. They're fairly plain-looking, but that's what I'm going for at work. Only gripe is that they run a bit small for me. I always wear a size 9 with Brooks, but my first pair of these didn't have quite enough room in the toe. Second and all future pairs are 9.5 and that works better. Weird thing is, the slant at the front of the outsole combined with the smaller size of the first pair made them feel... i dunno.. faster? Got more of a 'nimbly tipping forward into my stride' feel that I really liked, but they were bending my big toes inward a bit after six months of use. Nothing too b ad or permanent, but it became irritating. 9.5 feels comfortable and casual, but secure and supported for work, and that's great. So yeah, try sizing up.

Very comfortable and seems like they will hold up well. Wear them as a deliver driver and my feet do not hurt at all at the end of the day.

I love them, their stability and fit. Right now they seem a bit stiff compared to the stability running shoes I have been using before for walking. But I highly recommend to those who walk on paths and trails a solid walking shoe like these Addiction Walker 2s.
