Using these for walking. Deducted one star since the laces and top of shoes creak. They sound CHEAP. Irritating, but they are generally comfortable.

As an elder fellow with balance problems, I am no longer any kind of runner, so I walk for exercise. This is my second pair of the Walker 2 Black. Same size as the old pair, but the cushioning seems to be a bit thicker, making them a bit harder to put on, but comfortable. Lace holes are tighter than the old ones, a bit more of a nuisance lacing up, and possibly causing the laces to wear out sooner. Traction is good, like the old ones; but also like the old ones, grains of sand/dirt become trapped in the tread-slots, which is a small nuisance picking those grains out later. Tread wear has been good. Key point is that the fit/support and cushioning are good for walking.

Im using these shoes for work. Indoor walking about 20,000 steps a day. Still very comfortable. Holding up pretty good.

This is a comfortable shoe with a nice fit and good support. After wearing the shoe for several hours a day for a week, I wore them on our trip to Athens and climbed the steps leading up to the Acropolis (lots of steps). Ended up wearing them pretty much all day including out to dinner that evening. My only problem with them is that they squeak! The squeak with every step - thankfully not loudly, but enough to be noticed.

I would give these sneakers a 5 star rating but they don't last long enough to deserve one. The toe protector part of the shoe always starts to separate around a month into regular use of these shoes. This happens to every pair that I've bought in the past few years and I buy about 4 pairs a year. I do not drag my feet or scrape the toe protector. I am an Army veteran and I walk properly. The pair that I bought around a month ago is already starting to show that it's happening again. I walk around 7 miles per day. The glue that is used in these shoes needs to be improved.

They squeak. Youll never sneak up on anyone again if youre wearing these shoes.

Nice walking leather shoes. Heavier than expected. Need a bit of used for "adjusting". The support does not feel as good as the Adrenaline GTS.

I love the fit and look of these shoes. My orthotics fit in perfectly and these work great on my travel trips. I'm on my second pair. My one complaint is that the sole where it connects to the front of the shoe comes unglued way before anything else on the shoe wears out. Seems such a waste to replace them but they look bad once that happens.

You sent the wrong size. I need to return these. You did not send a return label so how undo I return them?

They are built to last, are comfortable, and are recommended by any medical professional I ask. Im a repeat purchaser.

About to travel out of the country and wanting to take only the shoes I would wear, I looked for the right shoe starting with the Brooks website. I found these 'walking' shoes, which are really a running shoe with a leather front upper and all black rather than the bright colors on 'running' shoes. They also have a wear layer on the sole that is designed for walking rather than running. This is all good stuff. I wore the shoes for two weeks traveling on the other side of the ocean. We did a lot of walking and climbing stairs averaging about 15000 steps a day including days when we were on airplanes and trains. These may now be my daily use shoes. The flaw: The shoe is advertised as 'maximum support'. It is actually lacking in support. I fixed the problem by taking some insoles out of an old pair of Keens and had the support I was used to. The insoles that come with these Brooks are too flat.

Well built and solid, but also a bit to warm. Good fit. Would prefer something other than black or white in a narrow width. A nice dark grey would be nice or some sort of brown. I feel like I work at the post office with this solid black.

Shoes are great for colder weather. Great support. Unfortunately, the tread is very fine and picks up many small grains of sand. They are perfect for hard surfaces.

Great walking shoe, I've had several pairs over the years. I buy them for the winter months to help keep my feet warm. My only complaint of them is they can be noisy, the material they are made of kind of "squeaks" when you walk but other than that it's a solid shoe.

Great walking shoe. Perfect fit. 4 stars because they squeak.
