Great shoe. I just wish the laces weren?t so long. I usually have to trim off about a foot from each lace.

After reading other reviews I was concerned about the fit and quality. However, there was no problem in my (9 4E) case. The fit was perfect. I have neuromuscular problems in my legs and ankles and proper shoes are a big issue for me. I'm very pleased as well as relieved given the old Addiction Walker is no longer available. Subjectively speaking, I don't think these are going to hold up a swell as the earlier version, but I'll buy them again. I still wear my first pair of original Addiction Walkers bought three years ago by the way.

These are the 3rd pair I have purchased. As my feet have lost their arch an my feet have in need of more support these are the only shoes that keep me on my feet for 9 + hrs. My knees , hips an back feel soo good As a physical therapist assistant I recommend these to my patients. Ty Brooks

Before I purchased these online, I did so, because I wanted to be professionally sized. I went to one of your dealers here in town. I am very happy with the overall fit and craftsmanship. However, the pad of my right heal caused me a sharp pain while wearing them at work, standing on a rubber mat over concrete. My left shoe is fine. I work i an USDA grade food lab. After standing for hours, it can be very painful. When finished with work walking can improve the painful condition, but it is still with me even though reduced. How do I keep up with their appearance and condition? Do I use good quality shoe polish to dress them up if alcohol drips on them? Will it be possible to buy more shoe laces for these shoes? They are very nice quality and will wear out before the shoes. I would like to buy 4 pair for siz 11.5 d. Thank you, Stephen Williams

I had a pair for a number of years (ver 1.0) and they were my relief shoe after taking my work boots off. Always comfortable and never left me in pain the next morning. I was a bit skeptical when I read some of the online reviews of version 2.0 but now that I've had them for about a month...still great. For those with (or without) issues with other brands leaving your feet hurting...they've worked for me.

With the Addiction 2, Brooks has made my favorite shoes shorter, wider, less cushioned. It’s very disappointing for those of us who have hard-to-fit feet For this style to change so drastically for the worse. I tried a few different sizes and widths before I gave up, went on eBay and bought as many unused pairs in the old model as I could find.

The shoes seemed quite comfortable at first but they are falling apart at the toes. The rubber covering has come loose. I would like a refund or new pair of shoes. I've ordered from Zappos for many years and have always been pleased with the products. Please let me know what I need to do to return the shoes. Thank you!

Very comfortable shoe. I use them for work and after walking on concrete all day, they really improve the impact I feel on my joints. Don't stop making them!

Only walking shoe in size B!!! I've got B right foot and AAAA left foot! With my orthopedic inserts, these shoes are great!!! Been buying them for years, 11 years now. Comfy, walk all day, no pain. Learned about Brooks from a Nurse's husband! KEEP MAKING THEM!! * Make black and suede ones as strong as the white leather ones!!!

Very comfortable and supportive when walking. Does squeak though. Maybe this will go away with age.

A solid walking shoe that stands the test of time--that time usually being around 6 months after walking 3-5 miles a day in Arizona. Even in the Arizona summer heat, they are still somewhat comfortable--which is surprising given that it can reach temperatures of 100f in the summer mornings and how warm the shoes feel after a 3060-minute walking session. The wear and tear after 6 months of steady use almost seems minimal on the exterior but the inner cushion definitely doesn't absorb as much of the impact. Overall, I keep coming back every 6 months to get a new pair. Best walking shoes I've used thus far.

Very comfortable and provides good support. I am 68-years old and walk 6-10 miles per day, but do have some arthritis in my big toes, serious enough they want to do fusions, as well as idiopathic neuropathy that causes significant discomfort at times. I was able to up my walking from 2-4 miles per day to the aforementioned range since purchasing my first pair of Brooks. I have since ordered two more pairs. I have size 14 narrow feet, so happy to find a comfortable and supportive shoe to fit my feet. The ultimate benefit is through the increased walking and being more conscious of my food intake, I have lost 61 lbs., which has had remarkably positive impacts on my blood pressure, lab values (esp. cholesterol and triglycerides), back pain that has disappeared, and other more personal benefits.

I had been walking 4-5 miles in Ghost running shoes for a few years, but saw this shoe on the Brooks website and thought I'd give it a try. In my opinion, this is a shoe for casual/mall walkers. At about 2 miles out on the first walk in these shoes (on side walks and bike paths), I started getting blisters. These shoes don't breath like running shoes-- I'd say they felt more like bowling shoes. Wouldn't buy them again; returned them and bought a new pair of Ghost runners (what I should have done in the first place).

I have been wearing this model of shoe for years. The size 12 and 1/2 Merrill fits my feet like a glove. Very comfortable.

After a lot of research, I ended up getting these Addiction Walker 2’s. A lot of reviews were for and against this product and I have to say these shoes suck. Not comfortable. The description made me think these would be decent but not in the slightest. I heard that the first iteration was better and I’d say it probably is considering how bad this version is. Consider Brooks if it’s running shoes only.
I'd also recommend:

Nice, good looking and comfortable shoes, BUT they're not slip resistant. At least in the kitchen.
