Stylish, comfortable even on concrete, this shoe has it all if you like to walk long distances for fitness.

I like these shoes, but they do have a flaw. This is a walking shoe. All of my running/workout shoes are Brooks because they fit my foot. About to travel out of the country and wanting to take only the shoes I would wear, I looked for the right shoe starting with the Brooks website. I found these walking shoes, which are really a running shoe with a leather front upper and all black rather than the bright colors on running shoes. They also have a wear layer on the sole that is designed for walking rather than running. This is all good stuff. I wore the shoes for two weeks traveling on the other side of the ocean. We did a lot of walking and climbing stairs averaging about 15000 steps a day including days when we were on airplanes and trains. These may now be my daily use shoes. The flaw: The shoe is advertised as maximum support. It is actually lacking in support. I fixed the problem by taking some insoles out of an old pair of Keens and had the support I was used to. The insoles that come with these Brooks are too flat.

I'm not a runner. I'm an 85-year-old guy with disabilities, who needs comfortable, supportive shoes to walk around in. Years ago, I bought Brook's shoes both for walking and to wear when I worked out at the gym. I still have two pairs of my very old Brooks shoes, but one has soles that've become so hard that the shoes are unsafe to wear. The Addiction Walkers that I bought recently are their replacement. The high quality, comfort, and support that were characteristic of my old Brooks shoes, when new, are more than duplicated in my new Addiction Walkers. I'm very satisfied with my new shoes from Brooks.

Very comfortable, with palpable support. I bought these to replace a pair that I had that was a half-size smaller. I had since taken to using custom orthotics so I needed more room, and these served perfectly. I don't run, but I walk two to three miles a day in these, and, as far as I'm concerned, they're perfect!

Great walking shoe, I've had several pairs over the years. I buy them for the winter months to help keep my feet warm. My only complaint of them is they can be noisy, the material they are made of kind of "squeaks" when you walk but other than that it's a solid shoe.

A good, sturdy walking shoe. Fits my narrow heels better than others. Good enough looking to be worn with casual work clothes. Seems well made. I like the extra lace loop that secures the lace to the tongue.

Very comfortable and extremely supportive. Accommodates my orthotics making this walking shoe perfect for everyday long walks.

I'm very glad I bought these. I got them to wear as a casual shoe, and I've done 10,000+ steps in them a number of times and they've been comfortable all day. I bought the same size, 12.5 D, as my Brooks Beast '20 which I wear for running.

I've worn many shoes, and you would not think the Brooks Addiction Walker 2 would be as comfortable as the shoes that have a lot of cushion, but to my surprise they are more comfortable and supportive. I had a lot of pain from neuropathy, back, feet, and knee problems. This shoe resolved this problem. Great job Brooks. Thanks.

The 1 & 2 Star reviewes are legit. Tight fitting and stiff. Not worth attempting to break them in. If you have any kind of foot conditions, I wouldnt recommend these. I will be returning them soon. I have bought and recommend the Glycerin GTS 21s. Much better comfort.
