I am a bit confused regarding the size of the shoe. I order an 11 narrow originally and it was too short, my big toe was touching the inside of the end of the shoe, The width was perfect, but I had to send them back I reorder a "11.5 narrow shoe size", Try them on, and this time the shoe width was too wide and still not enough space at between the end of my big toe and the end of the shoe. What is the right size if I wear an 11-size shoe?? Very disappointed.

I love this shoe. I am a senior with a damaged ankle that requires a brace be worn all the time. I must wear a shoe that fits the foot with the brace, a 4W in a men's 11 size. (Please keep making this 4W shoe.) It is comfortable while supportive, with a wide toe box. It works well on all types of surfaces and weather conditions.

Great pair of sturdy and comfortable shoes that are great for walking and nice enough to wear about any place.

My husband 6ft 10 inches and 250 lbs- this is a great shoe for him to wear for dress and causual and he wears hhis old pair of shoes on the farm. They have good support and are very comfortable for his wide foot . This is pair number 12 for him !

I walk about 30 miles a week, every week. These arrived May 18 and I started to use them full time right before the holiday. It's less than a month and they are done, totally depleted and junked, and the entire month was filled with support issues due to poor craftsmanship and/or design. I called Brooks and customer service stated that these are not cushioned or supported for my use, yet they are advertised as maximum comfort for extended walking. The plus side of the product is the arch and no slip sole.

My neighbor highly recommended purchasing Brooks for walking. I wear a 14 narrow and bought the Addiction Walker 2. The only problem I encountered was a narrow toe box. Using the sneakers was causing pain, but I just thought they need to be broken in. Well, I was wrong and the issue wa the toe box. I probably used the shoes a week and now they sit in their box. Conclusion - great brand, but if you need a normal to wide toe box, the Addiction Walker 2 might not be the best option.

I bought these for my husband. Two years ago we bought two pair of size 10 med as this is what was recommended by fleet feet. My husband wanted to try the 10 WW as he needed wiggle room for his toes and they are perfect. And he likes them very much. Thank you Brooks. Also love that they are made from real leather.

I love the shoes. I use them for work. I just don't like that the leather makes a swishing noise when walking especially if I have my inserts in

Using these for walking. Deducted one star since the laces and top of shoes creak. They sound CHEAP. Irritating, but they are generally comfortable.

Shipping box arrived promptly. Opened it with great anticipation. Put on the shoes and could just barely get them on my feet. Double-checked the size. 15 wide, my standard size but they felt like 11 narrow. Sat at my computer with them on to get used to them before taking a walk. Took them off when I started losing sensation in the left leg. Thought about ordering 15 double-wide but doubted those would fit either. Shoes are obviously well made but seem designed for narrow adolescent feet not my old guy's flat, long, wide feet. A true disappointment.

great shoe. ALL leather that is so appreciated especially in winter. These are my day to day shoes. Am very pleased they have wide width to accommodate my orthotics.
I'd also recommend:
new balance, but they do not offer any ALL leather shoes

I've had two versions of this walking shoe. The earlier version was better for the following reasons;
1) I feel that the soles aren't quite as firm as before, on hard surfaces although I"m not 100% sure of that because I didn't compare them "head to head". Still the shoes are really pretty supportive esp. if you use a favored insole like I do.
2) for sure, the "nonslip sole" is a bad design because it picks up small pebbles that cannot be easily dislodged.
3) the shoe laces are too long, presenting a hazard of someone tripping over them.

As an elder fellow with balance problems, I am no longer any kind of runner, so I walk for exercise. This is my second pair of the Walker 2 Black. Same size as the old pair, but the cushioning seems to be a bit thicker, making them a bit harder to put on, but comfortable. Lace holes are tighter than the old ones, a bit more of a nuisance lacing up, and possibly causing the laces to wear out sooner. Traction is good, like the old ones; but also like the old ones, grains of sand/dirt become trapped in the tread-slots, which is a small nuisance picking those grains out later. Tread wear has been good. Key point is that the fit/support and cushioning are good for walking.

I expected this shoe to be more comfortable but it is not as comfortable as less expensive shoes that I have had in the past. Very disappointed.

This is a comfortable shoe with a nice fit and good support. After wearing the shoe for several hours a day for a week, I wore them on our trip to Athens and climbed the steps leading up to the Acropolis (lots of steps). Ended up wearing them pretty much all day including out to dinner that evening. My only problem with them is that they squeak! The squeak with every step - thankfully not loudly, but enough to be noticed.
