Previous Brooks addiction had one piece mesh around the front of the foot. These have 2 pieces of leather that overlap at the junction of the proximal and 2nd metatarsal causing chafing and pain.

Leather was very stiff - difficult to put on. This is a different version of the "Addiction Walker" in sizing, fit, style, and narrowness of the toe box. Original ones had a very rounded toe; this style is more "pointed."

Really like these shoes for walking on asphalt etc . Great shoes very comfortable

Hey Brooks, if it's not broken don't fix it. I have worn the Addiction Walker as an everyday work shoe for 15 years. I loved them and repurchased them several times. The shoe sold well but they redesigned it to make it a cheap plastic and low-quality leather piece of junk. These shoes now look like shoes you wear to the disco. Very poorly redesigned. I returned them.

So far so good and it’s been a week. I drive a Stepvan delivering for Amazon so I stop a 200plus homes and businesses per day.

in 6 months of use - 2 tears occurred - one on edge of rubber and leather (seam), and the other at the seam of two pieces of leather. quality was less than expected. comfort was ok - but not what I hoped for for the price and the recommendations on the brand. I'll be choosing another brand next time.

These are for my son with special needs. He was diagnosed with dystonia many years ago. He is 31 now. One day, Dad said he could skip the brace. He started walking straight. In these shoes he walks even better, rarely tips that foot. I think he was misdiagnosing in the first place..

I was excited to try Brooks since it was reputable name. I alternated these with another pair of shoes for work to see which was best I initially chose my alternate and wore for about a monthe...despite not causing any issues I decideded to give the Brooks another try. I developed an initial knee and shin pain which progressed into plantar fascitis in both feet. I tried stretching g and exercise thinking it was just my aging body and weight. Nothing was working so I decided to buy a new pair of my go to NIKES. By the next day my pain began to improve. Brooks...disappointing. maybe ot was the model.

While i like the width of these shoes. I am disappointed in the fact that after only 2 weeks of wear, the front part is already peeling off.
