VERY NARROW ALL OVER. I knew this about Brooks shoes so I ordered an X-Wide instead of my usual Wide size and it was still too tight! And I don't have huge feet, I have an average size foot but I can't stand a tight toe box. Brooks doesn't make XX-Wide. If they did it would probably be just the right fit for me. The shoes seem very supportive and comfortable otherwise, but I can't stand to wear shoes that cramp my feet. Since Brooks shoes run narrow overall they need to make XX-Wide if they don't want to lose sales to New Balance which offers wider widths.

Although I even ordered a half size larger to be on the safe side (I didn't want to have to return them for extra postage), they were too tight & definitely on the short side. I had a friend with me who wears my same size and she also tried them on and they were too small for her as well. I guess ordering online is not a good way to buy shoes.

I have been wearing the Addiction Running for years, but this suede walker was uncomfortable. I found it to be heavy. And the toe box was not wide enough. I am disappointed that I have to return this shoe and then wait for the Addition Running to be back in stock.

I have worn Brooks Addiction running shoes for walking for years. They are not available in my size so I tried the walking shoes. They are tight on my bunion foot and don't have much cushioning.

Toe box much smaller than my previous Brooks despite being same size (9 wide). Felt at least a 1/2 size too small, if not a full size too small. I wasn't able to add my green Superfeet. Rigid and sturdy sole (which is what I look for in a shoe to eliminate pain). Bigger size is not available for me to try on and compare. Subtle retro style could gave worked well for pulling off with a variety of outfits.

Brooks, what would you have women do that find your Extra wide shoe too narrow? You are so close to perfect! But I’m tired of sacrificing the women ‘s model to go with a wider mens shoe because there’s no wider option. You are the brand that has the best walkers & runners from my experience. It simply would be nice to have an 8.5 women’s shoe in realistic sizes from you at some point. I’ve given up on all the brands that don’t even acknowledge “wide” feet.

This was the second pair I bought, Same size for both. Loved the first pair and wore them out. Returned second pair as they were too short and sole was hard, not comfortable.

I ordered 1/2 size up from my normal 6B since reviews said the Addiction Walker runs small. It was way too small and tight all over! I had a regular sock on, nothing thick or padded like a Thorlo. I could hardly get my foot inside. The laces are too short also. If you use the top eyelets, the laces can't be tied. BUT the positives . . . I took my socks off to get a feel for the shoe and how it felt to walk in it. First, it was still tight in toe box and still too short in length, even with no socks on. But the cushioning inside is heavenly and the soles feel really great to walk on. Lots of support under the foot, along with good cushioning ( good, not squishy like some running shoes). Just very comfortable with great support for plantar fasciitis and back of heel bursitis. Because of all the positives, I'm going to try ordering a 7B (one full size larger than my normal size). Oh, and the color is beautiful! I got the Alloy/Oyster Peach and it's a soft neutral gray with very subtle rosy accents. It will go well with all the neutral shades I wear and other colors too. I hope going a FULL SIZE UP will work. If not I might have to order a Wide, but that usually doesn't work for me because the shoe is then too big all over and the heel slips. This is a great shoe, it just runs a full size too small -- and toe box needs to be more roomy. The medium width is way too narrow and tight around the toes. If the sizing was more accurate and the toe box wider I would give it 5 stars.

The shoe felt very comfortable to put on, but as I walked around my house my toe began to hurt. I have super wide feet so it is hard to get a good fit.

They were supposed to be wide but felt very tight. They did not work for my bunions.

As described, the colors are a bit off, but not a deal breaker. The shoes were described as Wide but they were not even close; overly snug in the toe box. The size 11 I ordered in previous Brooks shoes are fine but these were closer to a 10. Returned.

I had to return them; even though the size was a wide, the toe box cramped my little toes.

Can't really review yet. I think they will take some time to break in. Stiff and feet hurt a little when walking.

Personally, I cannot stand the look of the new, jazzed up design on this Brooks Addiction Walker. I suffer from bunions, hammertoes and osteoarthritis in my feet, and the only shoes I could wear Brooks Addiction Walkers for all activities. The old style of this shoe (2019) was full leather. The new style is perforated suede which gives less support; has funky colors and squeaks with each step because my orthotics now touch a rubber insole; and the style brings even more attention to my already troubled feed -- to which I do not want to bring additional attention. Now I can only wear the new style that only comes in black or white, is solid leather and squeaks! I've decided on the New Balance 928 v3 in beige to replace Brooks Addiction Walker in beige because simple beige is no longer sold.

I've had the addiction walker model before. I'm supposed on how short this particular shoe feels.

I ordered a 8 W which I wear. The shoe I received was too narrow and too short.

I generally love Brooks shoes but these walking shoes are very uncomfortable. I have worn them twice and both times I experienced pain and discomfort in the toe area. In addition, the shoe just feels uncomfortable. I wish I had just ordered another pair of Ghost shoes.

I have worn all styles of Brooks and generally love them, I hiked the Grand Canyon in Cascadia14GTX,worn Ghost14 ,Ghost14 GTX, Revel and Levitate for work (I spend a lot of time on my feet), walking and hiking. I was really looking forward to a new pair of supportive walking shoes so I bought the Addiction Walkers and from the get go they felt a bit short and snug... at the end of the first full day of wearing I had a blister on my big toe, I think I am going to return. Sad I really wanted these shoes to work!

Even in X-Wide, these are too narrow. The sizing is just wrong. They are not a true extra-wide shoe. Brooks X-wide is very narrow and not the same as X-wide in other brands. The shoes are also too shallow for an orthotic or even an insole like Powerstep Pinnacle. Your foot will slip out of the shoes. Since Brooks sizes their widths on the very narrow side, they need to make these in a 4E, not just a 2E. Would that be so hard? I cannot understand why they don't make this in 4E. It might be wearable for those of us with wide feet then. Bottom line: Brooks, your shoes are TOO NARROW!!

I loved the look of the shoe when it arrived, but it was so small I couldn't even get my foot into it. It seemed like it runs 1-2 sizes too small. I've been wearing brooks for years, they're my go to tennie! This is the first pair of Brooks I've ever bought that wasn't true to sizing. I liked the look of them I wish they would have fit!

I really wanted to like these shoes, but they were consistently too tight around the tops of my feet (where laces are) and my ankles. The shoes are very stiff and I never felt like I broke them in enough; every time I put them on it felt like I was wearing them for the first time. My feet ached after walking for 20-30 minutes and I couldn’t wait to take them off. I’ve purchased Brooks running shoes in the past and liked them and thought it would be a natural transition to their walking shoes. I was wrong and I’m going to go back to only purchasing Brooks for running shoes and will look for another brand of walking shoes.
